Costa Rican Bliss

Our family had a wonderful stay, for the 2nd year in a row, at Casa Serena. We love the local community, the friendships we have made in the area, the home and the management company. We are grateful for the experience.

Nice group gathering spot, walking distance in Nosara

Overall this was a good fit for our group of 4 couples over 2 weeks. The location is excellent for accessing Playa Guiones and Nosara restaurants but still in a quiet spot. The highlight is the outdoor pool area with the large palapa structure.

Amazing House!

Family Christmas holiday

We were a group of 2 families (4 adults and 4 children) we loved Nosara and the house, which was surrounded by beautiful rainforest and such a great location for easy walking to the beach. Nosara is wonderful, so many fitness options, endless surfing on the beach and incredible restaurants. It was a busy week in Nosara so best to reserve things and a few activities were fully booked but it didn’t stop our enjoyment. The house is beautiful and very well equipped

Indeed Pura Vida!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Serena! This was a return trip to the Nosara area and we loved the location of this home in North Guiones. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Easy to walk to all restaurants, grocery, surf shop, beaches (Guiones and Pelada), and even all the way to Bodhi tree for yoga on the trail path through town. The house and kitchen were well appointed and full equipped with everything we needed. It was a lovely home and we look forward to returning!

Amazing place!

We love staying at Casa Serena and have stayed there multiple times. It's in a perfect location that's quiet and close enough to the beach. The property manager is wonderful and very helpful. The house is very spacious with plenty of rooms and beds. The pool is fantastic. We love the outdoor showers. We keep coming back here for a reason.

A memorable holiday in Nosara!

My family gathered at this property in Nosara during the holidays and we had the best time! Casa Serene is located 6 minutes (walking) from the beach, town, yoga and everything you might need. We were able to work closely with Blue Sand Management to organize dinner reservations and a fantastic chef. The house is well decorated and equipped with AC units in each room/ indoor and outdoor showers/ a nice size pool and security system. I couldn't have asked for a better spot and hope to return to it again next time we're back in the area.

Fantastic

We were two adults and four kids (aged 7 - 15). The location of the house is great, short and easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping. The amenities of the house are as advertised - full kitchen, pool, four full bedrooms, really a luxury experience. The management team is superb. We had some problems on arrival with the locks and alarm not working properly but the management team took care of it quickly and professionally. We'll be glad to be back.

Fabulous house and pool in Nosara

The house really was fabulous, so well appointed and very homely with some beautiful pieces of furniture. The kitchen had everything we needed, the outdoor showers were luxurious and we had lots of space for our two families of 4. The kids all enjoyed staying in the room with bunkbeds. The pool was big and the beautiful wooden traditional pergola was so wonderful to relax in and sit in the shade. The property is very central, about 5 min walk to the centre of town and 6-7 mins to the beach. The house comes with a concierge service who booked golf-carts, restaurants etc and attended to all our needs, and were immediately available on Whatsapp. We had such a fabulous stay and highly recommend.

Wonderful. Walkable everything, just far enough away.

We selected this home for a trip with our four daughters and two of their friends for spring break (ages: 18, 18, 18, 16, 13, 13. We had originally booked a more upscale appearing home up the hill and opted for this one to be beach-walkable. We could not have been happier. - Excellent communication with the owner. I admit I was a bit wary of some recs at first, but turns out that this was a me-problem, not a them-problem. All the guidance we received from the owner and from the management company (Blue Sand) was great - accurate, timely, useful. - Extremely clean home, from the floors to the showers to the washer/dryer and dishwasher. Well stocked to keep it so. - Fully stocked kitchen that was well prepared for cooking. - Pool was warm and clean. We used the skimmer frequently to get the falling leaves out - easy and well worth having the shade and privacy. - Ultra safe with electronic gate, electronic deadbolts, and both a home- and away-mode alarm system. - Super excellent AC. Wish I had those. - Beds totally comfy. No sagging or other issues. - Oh, and did I mention that the house is lovely?- Totally walkable through Guiones and to the beach. Can’t quite Figure out why all the motos with Americans on them…surely didn’t need one. Summary: Excellent home away from home, great location, everything advertised and the management company was outstanding. We will be back - we’d seek out the same home and/or the same management company - both were great. Hats off.

Beautiful Serene Villa!

I planned a family vacation with my husband, in-laws, parents and my brother. We were all very impressed by the overall property when we arrived. Plenty of space for the 7 of us. The villa was nicely decorated, and included shower necessities such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash which were all high-end. The pool area was fabulous! A little chilly when you got in the pool, but refreshing after a hot day in the sun. We ate outside every meal we had at the house, which included 4 nights with a private chef (Chef Alejandro Mora- HIGHLY RECOMMEND). It was the perfect house to have a private chef as the kitchen was a fabulous size and literally had everything we needed!! If there were any "complaints" it would be that the Berkley Water filter was not working after a few days, or it just was not filtering the water properly so we were definitely running out of water and had to purchase bottled water, and when my in-laws were sleeping in the downstairs bedroom they heard a dripping noise all night long every night which was driving them crazy- it might have just been the AC unit or something simple, nothing to give this property the 5 stars that it deserves! The location was great- on a quiet road, short walk (10 mins) to the beach and all the restaurants on that side of town. We rented a ATV and Golf Cart to help with our chairs and umbrellas that we also rented. We were sad to leave!! We would DEFINETLY stay here again!!! THanks for a great family vacation! We will be back!!

Casa Serena Magic!

Casa Serena is an impeccable house in Nosara, close (walking distance) to shopping, restaurants, beach, but feels totally remote and peaceful when you are there. The house is beautifully designed and with all the comforts of home. The Pool, the palapa, the showers- true paradise!! The Blue Sand concierge team was an incredible resource, especially as first time visitors with a small child. Certainly will be coming back as soon as we can! Thank you, Christy!

A Perfect Ten!

What a beautiful, comfortable, warm home! This house could not have been more perfect for our family's surf vacation. Spacious and beautifully designed with comfy beds, glorious indoor/outdoor showers and a lovely outdoor pool/dining/hangout area. Centrally located, but also quiet. Amazing home- highly recommended

This was more than a rental house- it was a home! The location is great- quiet at night and safely private while a close walk in either direction to beaches and restaurants. When we arrived the house was clean and the management team had pre-arranged for groceries, an atv, transfer from the airport, some restaurant and activity reservations, and a couple nights of an in-house chef for dinners. The house itself is wonderful with great amenities you’d put in your own home like quality knives, appliances, and plates. The rooms are spacious and cool. The double indoor/outdoor showers are amazing. The pool and lounging area are perfect for the hot days. You can eat, hang, and swim back there. You’ll probably see some iguanas and monkeys too. We had 4 adults and one child. We could have very easily accommodated more if we had needed it. Highly recommend!! Would and will book again. Both the house and management team were amazing.

Unbelieveable

This home is an oasis located in the absolute heart of Nosara. My only complaint is that there are too many relaxing and comfy places to put your feet up and enjoy the sunshine - it was impossible to stay in one spot for more than a few minutes!

Nosara stole our hearts and we decided to spend a year here and let our kids fully immerse in Pura Vida. They went to school and we oversaw the remodel of Casa Serena. We are now residing in Austin, but sneaking down to Nosara whenever the waves are good and we won't be missed.

We have set this property up to host large families and groups. We spent a lot of time and detail making sure it is super comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials we are use to stateside.

The property itself is lush with natural vegetation that has been carefully curated and well maintained. The interior of the house has a fresh, vibrant feel with all things being new and high quality. We have also put in a water filtration system, so fresh water is always available.
