Lakefront Alaskan Home - Epic Views, Float Planes, Near Town

Beautiful views with all the comforts of home in this 1-bedroom lakefront (ground-level) apartment. We converted our downstairs game room into a guest apartment and decorated it with our Alaskan motif. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, patio furniture on the deck, office space, comfortable living room and spacious bedroom! Relax and take in the lake views and our local wildlife. Feel free to share our dock and bonfire pit if you'd like! We hope to meet you while enjoying our home! Cheers!

My husband and I had the most enjoyable and relaxing time during our stay. Whether we chose to sit outside on the deck or stay inside, the lake view was fantastic. The float planes and the geese were an added bonus.The interior of the unit was very clean and well maintained. It's the perfect location for a couple's getaway.Alice took great care of us and was very responsive to any questions that we had. We were not disappointed.

Great stay

The property was exactly as advertised as shown in the pictures. The home/apt was very clean, well laid out, and is a very comfortable place to stay. The view overlooking the lake was just beautiful. Enjoyed watching the float planes take off and land. Easy communication with the owners. Overall a great place to stay.

Lakeshore idyll

This was a lovely place to stay, serene and quiet, except for the occasional float plane landing or taking off. My husband enjoyed working from here while keeping an eye on the resident loons and float planes. Alice was very easy to work with, and very responsive to my communications.

Extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay from owner communication to accuracy of description of property. Place definitely felt like home. I laughed at one of the reviews that complained about float plane traffic,that’s like going to Venice and complaining about the gondolas. Will return here for future stays .

Perfect little pice of paradise

Well kept and organized nicely. It says float plane but doesn't tell you there's and air service across the bay. I know Alaska has many float planes but I wasn't expecting so many across the bay taking off and landing. We really didn't notice it after a day or two but that would be my reservation to stay again. Other than that everything else was perfect.

Beautiful Lakeside Stay in December

Property is on ground floor. Plenty of parking. Private entrance. Large and clean 1 bedroom apartment with owner’s home overhead. Very large windows x 2 and 2 sliding glass patio doors plus a window over the kitchen sink allow plenty of natural light into unit. These large windows overlook the lake with unobstructed views. Plenty of hot water for showers and washing dishes. Good communication with owner. Only downside might be that there is not a dishwasher or a washer/dryer in unit. Other than those two things, it was a perfect stay while in Alaska visiting family for Christmas!

Picturesque with beautiful lake views

The apartment was perfect! Very well thought out and owners provided everything we would need! High quality and little touches like snacks, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, soft blankets for the couch all made it so nice! The large windows provided scenic views of Mackey Lake to watch the sea planes take off and land. A few resident moose greeted us as we came back in the evenings. Very peaceful! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!

The view is wonderful. We really enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. The host was fantastic and very easy to work with. A washer and dryer would have been nice, but overall it was perfect and we would stay here again.

Best location in Soldotna!

Just a few miles out of Soldotna, this property is centrally located to explore the Kenai Peninsula. Located on a lake with beautiful views from every room. Very comfortable and even better than the pictures. We’d stay here again and Alyce is great!

Exactly what we expected from listing. Lakefront apartment with great views out every window. Very spacious, well-equipped apartment. Great bird-watching out window: loons, scaups, surf scoters, ring-necked and pintail ducks. Backside of lake is undeveloped, so lake has some pleasant paddling.
