About the host
Hosted by Mary Wright
John and Mary are a retired couple. We love to be by the ocean and enjoy outdoor activities. We like to travel and meet people. We live in out apartment half our time and the other half we in Brisbane.
Why they chose this property
We chose Burleigh Heads because it has a great surf beach. You can find most things in walking distance. Swim at the beach, Yoga and Thai Chi on the beach, Restaurants, Fish and Chips, Cafes, Coffee shops, Boutique shopping and retail shopping on James street.
You can see most of these places from our apartment. Burleigh Heads is a family friendly place and the community is welcoming and charming.

What makes this property unique
You can also explore Tallebudgera Creek. We call it our secret place because mid week it is so quiet and the water is so aqua blue that you could easily feel you are on a deserted tropical island. To get to Tallebudgera Creek you can walk from our apartment 200metres to the entrance walkway of the Burleigh Heads national park - and follow the ocean view path- as it wraps around the coastline with views most of the way and within 10-15 minutes you see the inlet where the creek meets the ocean. We stop for whale watching. This has remained our favourite activity any time of the day.
