This property was a perfect little lakeside spot for my friends and I to spend the weekend. The deck by the water is so relaxing and the house itself is comfortable and well equipped.
Fun location with a short walk from the small parking area to the house. May be a little challenging for people with mobility issues. Check in process was easy. Nice little picnic table set up to eat right at the waters edge. Water pressure in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom were very weak and there were no check out instructions but John and Barb responded in a timely manner. Would stay again.

Thank you..We had a plumber install a new hot water tank..Thank you..
The listing for this property requires several updates to accurately reflect it current state. It is in a beautiful area, the property itself requires some TLC. Deck boards are loose or broken, railings are loose, floors boards in the house are warped, only one working bathroom sink, fridge barely keeps things cold, grill only has two working burners. The canoe and kayaks have no life jackets
We came on 10th left within hours to a hotel. Called Verbo customer service for a refund from host who hung up on us. Mold smell throughout house rotting deck boards a foot can go through. Windows don't open properly. Junk outside everywhere. Dirty deck chairs. Not pleasant at all. Bugs in emuostairs bedroom. Outlets not covered. No GFC outlets near sinks. Never want to stay here! Dirty. Verbo opened a case. Hope for reimbursement

You stayed for over 3 hours..did not call..The house was and is professionally clean..The window was not broken and we have proof. How was that broken?.We were there as well as our cleaning woman..The deck is fine and there is no trash.. Barrels are in the parking lot..A new dock was just delivered to be assembled. We don't have mold..You contacted us that you did not want towels and sheets..After cleaning crew left you requested..hours before arrival..You said your daughter would bring towels..you'll deal..All work done..electrical..plumbing is done by licensed people..
We had a great weekend. The lake was beautiful. We had a lot of fun kayaking and using the canoe. It was very quiet and peaceful.
The kitchen had ecerything we needed and the house was a good size for the 6 of us.
My family had a great week at this house! We enjoyed swimming, kayaking/ canoeing, and used the fire pit. Accommodations were very comfortable, and TV had access to lots of movies. Would definitely visit again.

We had a lovely time at the lake! The house was very clean, and the hosts were so nice. It was a perfect place for our family. Our grandchildren didn’t want to leave.
I was blown away by how clean and nice the property was. Barb was super accommodating and my family was able to have a great Six Flags experience and come back and rest properly.

Home away from home! Great place on the lake. Property was fully stocked and owner very accommodating. Be prepared for stair walking with many decks. Renting a golf cart to get up to the house from the shared parking area is a must when you have luggage and groceries for a week’s stay. Well worth it for the views and fire pits on multiple decks. Would definitely stay here again!
It was quiet and perfect for our family and well worth the short hike! If you have a disabilty please keep in mind it is not handicapp accessible. Also, note sheets are not included, but we were referred to a local store and the prices were resonable. We had an amazing stay and the property manager was responsive and a pleasure to work with.
Barb and John are great hosts; very warm and responsive. The home has a stunning view of the lake. Depending on your style and needs be mindful there is no dishwasher, or laundry and you have to take your own sheets and towels. We did all that and had a good time. Lots of day trips in and around the area. Big Y for groceries was great.

Beautiful scenery. Not walking friendly.
Not an easy walk to get to house or lake for seniors.

About the host
Hosted by Barb
We are a couple who met in college and have been married for 40 years. We love coming to the house and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful environment. We are planning to both be retired soon.
Why they chose this property
When we saw this unique private island, we were mesmerized by the expansive views, we knew we found a peaceful home. It is great for boating and fishing or just relaxing.
What makes this property unique
We love the private features of island living, compared to the congestion of being on a main road. The views are unbelievable....You can kayak or enjoy the canoe. We have a private dock and you can bring your boat or jet ski. It feels like you are in a cabin in the woods, but with lake views. Best of ALL worlds!
