Great house and perfect location, only one block walk to the main part of downtown! The kitchen is well stocked even with coffee beans and olive oil and spices…and lots of gear. Rooms and bathrooms are great.comfy beds.we’ll have to return in warmer weather to take advantage of the fun “carriage house” and outdoor seating. Will definitely return.
Although we did use the kitchen other than for morning coffee and tea, the house was clean, comfortable and the proximity to downtown McMinnville was a bonus.
Location was amazing. Close to everything downtown. House was well kept and very quiet. Nice that toiletries were available. Free grown coffee was an extra touch. Will look for availability at this location the next time we come to town.
Adorable restored historic house right in downtown, so easy to walk everywhere: farmer's market, coffee, wine tasting, shopping and more! The neighborhood is also filled with lots of historic homes, really charming. The converted garage was really cute and a nice place to sit while having dinner, our dog loved the fenced in yard too.
The Cowls bungalow was lovely. Comfortable, clean and well-appointed as well a perfectly located for walking along the 3rd Ave retail and restaurant row. Very dog-friendly property as well. Couldn’t have been better for a weekend getaway!
The location was just perfect for walking to restaurants and shops in downtown McMinnville. Yet quiet even sitting on the front porch. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would highly recommend staying here during a visit to the Evergreen Museum and wineries.
Overall, this was an amazing stay! Close to downtown and grocery store, fully equipped kitchen, super clean bungalow, hostess was very friendly and easy to contact! Can’t wait to stay again!!
We had a wonderful visit, the home is charming and comfortable with lovely beds and linens. The home is located close to the bustling downtown, easily walked to eateries and parks. We would love to stay again!
We enjoyed our stay here. Bungalow was clean and looked exactly like the posting. We liked sitting on the front porch.
Great location - close to 3rd Street restaurants and tasting rooms.
Great property! Charming cottage that was in exceptional shape. Perfect location for walking to local restaurants and shops. It was also walking distance to the shuttle for the McMinnville Wine and Food Classic.

Lovely home, great neighborhood, well stocked, comfy beds and nice linens.
Great walking distance to downtown. Lovely home with nice back yard for outside entertaining. Comfortable bed and nice soft linens. Well stocked kitchen. Easy check-in and check-out. Host quick with communication and lots of local suggestions. Safe neighborhood.
This was our 2nd time staying at Cowl's Bungalow. My husband and I traveled with my Dad this time. We love the large covered porch and that we can easily walk 2 blocks to the main street with shops, grocery and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with nice quality pans and fresh olive oil. Coffee beans/grinder are provided. We especially appreciated the AC given we were there on a 100 degree weekend. Would return again!
The home is situated so close to everything in downtown McMinnville. The house is clean and has a wonderful side yard for outdoor enjoyment.

About the host
Hosted by Wine Country Properties
She had the Wine Country Farmhouse, and he had the Walter Link House, which is how Anita and Larry met. Well.... it was at the UFO Festival, but that's another story. The result was another vacation rental, and now another one along the way. Both are natives who grew up surrounded by the wine industry. As a kid, Anita picked grapes during harvest on one of the first vineyards in Dundee. Larry was raised on a farm in what is now the McMinnville AVA. Like Salmon, they returned after exploring the world to pursue their passion in their hometown: preserving historic properties and sharing Oregon Wine Country with the world. By joining forces - Anita's background in real estate and Larry's in construction, they have created a solid team in the growing family of Wine Country Properties.
Why they chose this property
Nestled in a charming neighborhood of historic homes, stroll two blocks to McMinnville's Famous Third Street ~ the mecca of Oregon Wine Country. Enjoy the peaceful setting on the front porch or BBQ in the back while dining in the Carriage House under the twinkle lights.
