About Pam Scott
I moved to France in 1996 with my husband and love living in such a beautiful part of the world.
Pam Scott purchased this Farmhouse in 1996
Why Pam Scott chose Mareuil En Périgord
The Dordogne and especially Perigord Vert, as this part of the Dordogne is called, has everything that makes France special to me. Beautiful scenery, friendly neighbours, but above all the sense of peace and tranquillity missing from so many other parts of the world.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Total privacy to enjoy your holiday with friends and family, and the owner close by to help with any problems should they arise or to advise on things to see and do in the region.

Amazing Holiday Home
A fantastic house to stay in either with family or friends. Pam is an amazing owner, who made sure our stay was exceptional.
The house is in a peaceful rural hamlet and boasts plenty of space and character and feels very homely. The facilities are more than adequate, and everything you need is provided.
The swimming pool was a real hit with everyone, especially the kids who were eager to get in and play every day.
Overall both of families had a brilliant holiday, which was made even better by the quality of the house and the warmth and friendliness of the owner.
We would definitely recommend to anyone and would certainly book to stay again.
I'm very pleased that you all had such a good time and you're welcome back anytime
Fantastic family holiday!!
Had a lovely 10 nights at Pam’s beautiful farmhouse. In a lovely hamlet in rural France, but not far from Brantôme. The house has everything you could need. The pool is fabulous. Enjoyed by all. Plenty of space to unwind and relax. Most of us read some of the many books available and there are loads of games for everyone. Sat on the terrace most evenings for dinner but occasionally sat in at the huge table. Couldn’t fault it.
Loads of fruit trees and made a delicious plum crumble one evening. Pam is always around if you have any questions but is not intrusive. Would love to return one day. Thoroughly recommend.
It was a real pleasure to have you to stay and we hope you return one day
Three week stay in July 2019
The photos of your beautiful house just don't do it justice, what a haven! Accommodation for ten people with plenty of space to spare.
Even though the owners are just over the road, they did not intrude on our privacy unless requested. They were always available when required, big thank you to you both for your help on booking activities etc. The house is two hours drive from the coast line, but there is a few lovely lake/man made beaches nearby, lake Jamaye is a must to visit. Also the old town Periguex is a great place to visit, especially for food and shopping. We also visited sarlat which is a very historical town with lots to do and see. We also combined this with a trip to La roque-gageac, which is a couple of hours away, but is well worth a visit. you can also go down the dorgogne river. Brantome is the nearest local town, with great sceneries, restaurants and also the opportunity to kayak the river through the town. Thank you so much for making our holiday so stress free, you're great hostesses.
Kind regards the Clark family.
Thank you for your comments and we are delighted that you all enjoyed your holiday here so much. Hope to see you again
Absolute gem. A country luxury getaway
Pam was extremely welcoming and helped us out when we got stuck after missing the supermarket opening times! Beautiful country cottage, really big, amazing pool which is a total sun trap, fantastic bbq and outside dining space. We had a absolute ball, a real chill out after a busy wedding weekend with friends
It was my pleasure to welcome you. Hope you come again.
Excellent property in a pretty location
The house was very well maintained and we had a lovely welcome from the owner, who was also happy to lend us any extra equipment should we need it. It was in a very quiet location and had plenty of room for our group of 7 people. Brantome is about 5 miles away and is very pretty, and is also the closest place to buy provisions. We were surprised, but also grateful that the bakeries and delis in town were even open on a Sunday! Canoeing on the River Dronne was great fun, but book a day or two in advance in high season. Perigord to the south is also worth a visit for a wonder around the old town.
Delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and hope to see you again.
Great Family Holiday
We were a family of eight including two children and spent a week at this lovely farmhouse.
The pool area was very welcome and the pool itself used every day especially by the children.
All the facilities are here, all the rooms are clean and spacious, the two master bedrooms have en suite, and the large dining table sat us very comfortably although we probably used the outside table more often as the weather was so good.
We ate in mostly, having lunch a couple of times in Brantome, 10 minutes by car, there being a large fruit and veg shop 5 minutes away and a Carrefour just outside Brantome.
Brantome itself is a very attractive medieval town and well worth a visit and there are numerous other sites of interest within driving distance equally worth a visit.
Our hostess was on hand and always willing to help if we needed anything, and we would certainly recommend this place to anyone.

It was a pleasure to have you as guests, delighted you enjoyed the house and the region.
Le Brouillac is set in the lovely countryside of the Perigord Vert, in the north of the Dordogne. Nearby Brantome, with its famous abbey, beautiful river and its lively market and shops is about ten minutes away by car. Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne has much to interest the tourist with its Roman and Renaissance past. The Brantome region is known for its excellent cuisine and fine wines with eating places to suit all tastes and budgets.
The Dordogne area is perfect for those who want a relaxing and stress-free holiday enjoying the peace and quiet of the lovely countryside but there is still plenty to do for children and the more energetic. Canoeing down the river is always very popular and, with little traffic, the area is great for cycling.
The airports at Limoges, Bergerac and Bordeaux are all just over an hour away and Angouleme the TGV train station is about forty minutes away.
Other Activities: Canoeing, wine tasting, chateau visits and historical sites
