We had the most wonderful time at this peaceful, leafy, fragrant and even a little mystical place. The owner, Franscesca was very welcoming and accommodating, and she left us some delicious home made condiments in the fridge for our (late) arrival. Domaine de Kerusten is an oasis of calm, you have the place to yourself, and there is plenty to explore via the winding paths on the gorgeous grounds.

Restful oasis in centre of bretagne

We (family with three children 13-9) had a fantastic stay with Francesca and Didier. The cottage has a lot of space and is very tastefully decorated and authentic. It has a wonderfully large and beautiful garden, perfect to unwind after exploring Bretagne, having dinner outside and looking back on the day together. Francesca and Didier are wonderful and attentive hosts. We enjoyed many of their inside tips an beautiful and active spots in Bretagne.

This rural gîte with extensive gardens and woods is an oasis of calm. The gîte is simply but very adequately furnished, with very comfortable beds and several new appliances. We were a party of four adults and it felt spacious.The owners, Francesca and Didier, live next door and were very welcoming but also perfectly discreet during our 2-week stay.The distance to the south coast and places we wanted to visit was a known drawback that we managed. Even in August, traffic was usually light, making day-trips to Concarneau, Lorient, Quiberon, and the islands of Arz and Groix relatively easy.

Verwunschener Ort im grünen Paradies

Kerusten ist nicht nur der Name des Anwesens (alter Bauernhof mit diversen Nebengebäuden) sondern auch der Name des nahen Baches, den man in wenigen Minuten Fußweg erreicht und der durch einen kleinen schattigen Wald fließt. Dort findet man nicht nur viel Ruhe und Schatten, sondern auch Orte der Besinnung, die die Besitzer dort liebevoll arrangiert haben. Buddhafiguren wie auch Liegestühle laden zum Verweilen ein. Das kleine Haus ist mit sowohl alten als auch modernen Möbeln hübsch eingerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, bis auf ein richtig scharfes Messer fehlte nichts. Wir haben all unsere Mahlzeiten im Garten eingenommen. Bienen und Wespen waren ganz mit den vielen Blumen beschäftigt, so dass sie sich nicht für uns interessierten. Der Garten bietet so viele wunderschöne Ort. Auch wenn wir keine Pflanzenkenner sind, haben wir die Vielfalt der Gärten sehr genossen und jeden Tag an einem anderen Ort gepicknickt. Obstgarten, schattige Ecken unter alten Bäumen, das Labyrinth im Rosengarten, die Prärie und natürlich unser Lieblingsplatz: unten direkt am murmelnden Bach bei den blitzend blauen Libellen. Einzig der Weg zum Meer ist weit. Wer einen Strandurlaub machen möchte, ist hier nicht richtig. Francesca und Didier sind sehr nette Vermieter, zu denen wir einen herzlichen Kontakt hatten. Merci beaucoup encore une fois!

C'est en effet un lieu que nous entretenons avec passion dans le respect de la nature et de la biodiversité. La maison se veut chaleureuse car nous y accueillons également notre famille et les amis de passage. Les 3 belles chambres sont idéales et bien spacieuses. Dommage pour le couteau qui ne coupe pas... Nous y remédions immédiatement ! Ha oui, la mer est à 40 minutes. On peut donc profiter du calme de la propriété et se rendre à la mer de temps en temps pour profiter de la côte.
