The Lovebird-sleeps 3! Great value on Sanibel-walk to dining, shops and Historic East End Lighthouse

The Parrot Nest is one of the Old-Sanibel cottages located on the quiet East End of the island. Since 1955, our charming cottages have been welcoming visitors and until the early 1960's they were brought to our shores from the mainland by ferryboat.
Our cottages are newly renovated in a coastal decor offering you epic comfort, relaxation in a beautiful room. We are within walking distance to the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and fishing pier, beautiful shelling beaches, shopping and restaurants.
If you like, use our complimentary bikes and explore miles of paths covering the island and leading to wildlife refuges, kayaking spots, secluded beaches, and meandering past more eateries, shops, and galleries. The Lovebirds cottage is our largest cottage featuring a king bed and a daybed ( twin ), large outdoor private patio with lounge chairs, outdoor table and chairs for epic relaxation!

Cute little cottage. The shower was Quite small. Could have used another table for kitchen prep, dish drying, etc but we made it work. Free bicycles and some beach stuff. Outdoor shower/Clean up area. Great beaches!! Overall great stay on Sanibel Island!

We loved our stay! The property is walking distance to the beach with a very nice bike path all the way there. There are also several business just around the corner - ice cream shop, breakfast, souvenir store, restaurant. We loved it. The cottage was spacious and the AC was very effective. The shower is small, but you can see that from the listing pictures. It was close to everything and we thought great value for the price. Would definitely stay again!

Reminded me of old Florida with the small "cabins". We walked to the shopping area next door and a quarter mile to the beach access down the street. Be aware the walk maybe too much for some people. We enjoyed the fact it was on the other end of the island away from traffic. Best surprise was our visitor the last morning. We were having coffee on the patio and a beautiful coyote loped thru the back. He was very unaware we were sitting and watching him. Please don't scare him away !!

The property was amazing! Very clean and has everything you need for a stay. The pullout couch was even comfortable. The location was ideal being that you can walk to the beach. Which is a must because parking on Sanibel is impossible. The bikes were fantastic! The fact that you did not need a key or key card to get into the unit was really nice. One less thing to have to carry around and potentially lose. The ice cream shop next door was great as well as the bagel sub shop next door as well! Excellent location!

Great location for our needs! Very quiet neighborhood. Clean spacious rooms (lovebirds). Bathroom a little tight but no complaints for us. Propery is very cute. Would be great to have friends in other rooms! Bikes are convenient for a quick or longer ride. Wiki’s walkable for meals with Ice cream place next door. Check in instructions were easy to follow even getting in late. Would definitely stay again.

Close to the beach this beautiful little cottage was modern and fresh. Just a stones throw from a parade of shops which included a lovely restaurant which we ate at twice. Food was amazing

Quiet get away

Loved being able to walk to the beach, shopping and food. Could use a few more kitchen items for cooking and baking, but is an excellent location, very quiet, and the perfect size for 1-2 people.

Sanibel Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lovebird Condo at Parrots Nest. The updated unit was really spacious and private. The bikes allowed us a quick ride to Lighthouse point, and the laundry facilities were convenient for use!

5 night Sanibel retreat

We loved the location! The wagons, beach chairs and bikes were much appreciated. We used them daily. The only things we needed were a blow dryer and some shelves in the bathroom around the sink and in the shower.

Great get away

Excellent location with beautiful surroundings. Nice furnished studio and bathroom. We missed a screen door for fresh air in the bedroom. There was a minimum kitchen equipment only. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a very nice time ! They were very responsive on our internet concern ! We really enjoyed our stay and will be back ! Great little place!

We enjoyed our visit. Clean, light, inviting, and conveniently located. Could use a few more kitchen utencils. We love to cook...and felt a little limited in preparing meals! Sanibel Island is such a magical place...We will always return...again and again!

Our Sanibel Escape!

Really enjoyed our stay at Lovebirds #5! Spacious efficiency room with lots of extras. Laundry facilities on property, beach combing accessories, and bikes available for cruising around Sanibel. Beach access is only a short ride away, which was awesome! Would love to stay here again in the future! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Clean, great location, small but perfect for a couple

Cute efficiency unit, very clean and newer kitchen and bath. Bikes were great to get to Lighthouse Beach, helpful to have coin laundry. As stated in other reviews- missing items for oven cooking. Could use a rack/stand in the shower. Very close to a restaurant, ice cream and deli. Great for a beach getaway. Owners left a list of recommendations for places to go, which was helpful.
