This is a nice spot for a trip to Green Lake. We stayed here as part of a larger family trip- my sister in law has a house in the lake. This house is nice, especially with the screened-in porch. Make sure you bring towels, though- bath towels and beach towels are not supplied. The owner nicely explained that to us when we asked, and said that information is contained in the listing. I never saw that, and it is pretty important information to have. Easily dealt with for us but could be a bummer for someone who does not have a supply of towels close by!

We have revised our towel policy going forward but we offer this explanation:
1) The VRBO listing spells out in detail everything that is and isn’t available.
2) I pride myself on being available by phone, text and email for any and all questions.
3) This guest did have towels provided before their arrival so the only inconvenience was the asking and answering of the question.
We only have hours to thoroughly clean and disinfect the home between rentals.
Previous guests ruined it for others as towels were missing or used to wash cars leaving us at times scrambling to replace towels for next guest.
We have accepted the fact that such losses will be incurred as a result of renting.
We really enjoyed this property. It has a great front and back yard. The house is in an awesome location and Ron was quick to answer any questions we had! We would for sure rent again.
This was just what we needed for a late summer getaway. We brought our 3 children and my son’s girlfriend with us to Green Lake. The house was perfect for us. Everyone had their own room and the dining room table fit all 6 of us for dinner and games at night. There is a large yard which is great for playing catch or whatever else you want to do. There is also a charcoal grill and a gas grill. We brought our boat and kept it in the marina which is less than a quarter mile away.
The house was very clean and the property manager was very easy to work with. The house has one bathtub and shower and another half bath. This wasn’t an issue with our group.
You’re not renting a mansion. The house is small compared to those on the lake but it is definitely worth the rental price.
If you're planning a visit to Green Lake I recommend staying at this property. The house was clean & well organized and I especially enjoyed the patio along the front of the house. It's in a fantastic location with plenty to do within a short walking distance. The owner was great to work with and very accommodating as well.
This house is a well maintained, clean and comfortable house in a great location.
The owner was very easy to work with and accommodating

Well Kept and a great location
This house was a neat, well kept property across the street from Green Lake with lake views from the porch and front yard. It came fairly well equipped with adequate kitchen functionality but no towels. It is a bit tight, but we made do just fine. The location is very good to town, and a fine marina (Action) is close by and Byron goes out of his way to take care of his customers and is an excellent short term boat situation which I would recommend and use again. The owner of this house is very off putting with a long list of restrictions and requests for his guests which make one feel like he is doing me a favor staying at his place. He is not nearby, so must be scared if something is not right, he is far removed. On top of this, he has a VERY restrictive checkout policy which wants you out at 10:00 on the day of departure. While he made it very clear, we had a family of 8 and while trying to enjoy our last day and get ready to leave, we were not able to get out until 11:00 and were charged for it. I have traveled to many locales in the last 40+ years and rented multiple houses and never had someone charge me for an hour "late" checkout. Not surprised that this owner lacked grace, giving the list of rules and regs, so beware.

This renter left the home in the poorest condition in all my 8+ years of renting. And note in renter's feedback he stated home was neat and well equipped. Since I only have a 4 hour window to clean for next renter, late checkout creates a problem. Especially when I have cleaning people there waiting to clean. They have to be paid for their time and rushing for the next tenant. By the way the charge was $50.00. Rules were such things as:
Put the key back in the lockbox.
Don't overload the washer
Try to give the flowers a little water.
Close the windows on the front porch if rain is possible.
Recycle, Two separate containers and bags provided.
Take nice fabric table cloth off when dining and use the vinyl one underneath when dining.
Use throw on couch to protect it from morning sun.
If these are restrictive, it's much less restrictive than the vacation rentals I have stayed in.
This is the only negative review (One less than 5 stars) we have ever had. Possibly it's the $50.00 late checkout fee renter is trying to justify?

Excellent accommodations!
We had a wonderful vacation in this sweet cottage! My husband and I, our three adult
kids and their partners, and our 18 month old granddaughter stayed here. The place was
nice and clean, the kitchen well furnished, and the porch was such a treat. It has a nice big yard for lawn games and is located right across the street from Green Lake and about a quarter mile from Hattie Sherwood Campgrounds.
The price was very reasonable compared to other places I looked. I highly recommend staying here!

Great Place for Relaxing
My family and I were lucky enough to be able to spend the 4th of July holiday in this comfy home! The home had all we needed, was spacious and comfortable. The front porch was the best part, for relaxing times with a lake view. Green Lake is a peaceful treasure, boating nearby, Nortons across the street, it was great. We were able to watch the amazing fireworks show from a boat on the lake! A great family getaway for all ages. Owner was accommodating and responsive. We will be back!

Family Vacation
Our family had wonderful stay in this pleasant and cleaned rental home in Green Lake for a week. The view of the Green Lake from the living room and porch was so lovely. We had a bonfire in the big backyard on the fourth of July and then watched the fabulous fireworks. We all the family went for a boat ride, tubing, jet skiing and swimming. We had so much fun! Also we went to Dodge Park Beach two times in a week. We had 7 nights stayed and the entire time was so relaxing and enjoying. We hope we can come back again.

family friendly, clean and comfortable!
Our family had a wonderful stay in this well appointed clean Green Lake home. We found it to be very child friendly and equally comfortable for adults. The living areas are very nicely decorated and functional. The couches were comfortable, carpeting clean, beds comfortable and with good support. The sleeping areas really accomodated our family of 8 well, including two babies. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We also truly enjoyed the screen porch. THe upstairs sitting area was a really nice plus that we didn't expect, above and beyond the two bedrooms upstairs. THe house seems really well built and insulated noise well between bedrooms. We would highly recommend this home to others looking to stay in the Green Lake area. Communication with the owners was prompt and questions were clearly answered.

Nicest house we've ever rented!
This rental house was clean, neat, spacious, but most importantly, within walking distance of the beach and Norton's (our favorite restaurant in town). The view of the lake from the living room and porch was lovely, and the backyard was big and shady for the kids.
We stayed 7 nights and the entire time was relaxing and enjoyable because of this great rental! We hope to be back again sometime.

We have been vacationing ...
We have been vacationing in Green Lake for a number of years and have stayed in a number of locations. This, by far, was the best place that we have stayed at.
The adults and children all loved it. The location is very convenient as it is very close to the beach and the boat ramp. The front and back yards were spacious and offered a great place for the kids to play, and the screened porch was perfect for hanging out, relaxing and watching time go by.
The house was nice, clean and had obviously been well taken care of; and the owners were a pleasure to work with. We will most certainly be coming back again soon.

Why they chose this property
Spectacular lake and area. Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay are all within a two hour drive. Not a tourist trap town like Lake Geneva or the Dells. Lake is never crowded which we like for safer boating. Boat rentals are available at two marinas and one off lake site. Daily and weekly boat slips are also available should you want to bring your own boat and not have to launch each day.
What makes this property unique
Great golf and other recreation all in our backyard. Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, water skiing, dining and more. Town and surrounding area have activities most every weekend from the Pajama party on Summer solstice to the International Chili Cookoff. Tons of fun in a quiet town. Great lakeside parks and beaches too.
