The apartment was great. It was 30 steps from the village lift and was in a nice location. It had a few bars and restaurants locally or a short 5 minutes walk to town for more facilites. Ski hire was less than a minutes walk. We could not find fault with the apartment. From booking it to leaving the apartment was very easy. We all enjoyed the stay and would book again.
Great stay with Thierry, left us a much appreciated welcome basket in a fantastic flat 10metres from the village 1800 ski lift. Comfy, warm and cosy with loads of great restaurants and bars nearby. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Thanks Thierry!
Great communication and information from the owner prior to arrival. And the availability of agent in the resort for key pick up and help during the stay is a nice arrangement.
Flat was all as advertised. Really nicely furnished and equipped. Boot/ski locker in the flat is really convenient at the end of a big day of skiing!
Location excellent.
Fall out of flat for a 50m walk to Village lift, which had NO QUEUES when were there. As we rode the lift each morning we looked down at the 30+ minute queue for the Jandri lift... shudder!
Also just a few minutes walk from the flat to a couple of nice bars/restaurants, a bakery, a supermarket and a choice of ski rental places. So no need to go into town centre if you just want to take it easy.
Would 100% RECOMMEND this flat to anyone coming to L2A.
PS: A couple of things about L2A to be aware of - that have NOTHING to do with the flat:
1) If you use GMaps for directions to the resort it will take you along the crazy D220-Les Travers. Not sure my wife has forgiven me yet!!! Double check the route.
2) If you buy passes online you can only pick them up at certain ticket offices and NOT at the ticket office at the Village lift. We had to drive into town. Not a big deal but worth being aware.
Sometimes, photographs and descriptions of property do not quite live up to expectations. This apartment was not in that category: it was exceptional and more than fulfilled our expectations (we were four adults and two children). Lots of thoughtful detail, and an extremely well equipped kitchen - the knives were sharp, for example, which meant I did not have to use the one I took.
Thierry was a friendly and cheerful host - he visited during the week to check a minor issue at the apartment.
As described by other people, the Village lift was just outside the apartment, as was the ski hire shop, and the bus stop for the free ski bus close by for trips into town.
I thoroughly recommend it - it will certainly be on our list for next season.
Well equipped and excellent location. near the Village 1800 lift and ski hire and Sherpa supermarket. This property I would say is ideal for 5-6 adults, but has excellent facilities including a boot dryer.
We enjoyed a really fabulous stay in this beautifully finished and equally well equipped apartment.
Our arrival was a little tricky as we hadnât quite understood where we needed to collect the keys - we needed to walk right through the underground car park rather than look for the agency near the entrance. Once at the agency Jerome was very helpful and answered all our questions regarding location of the ESF meeting point etc.
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and has been wonderfully furnished. It is also extremely well organised and equipped. The beds and linens were all of a good quality and little touches like the provision of dishwasher tablets and tea and coffee were very well received.
The only minor fault was that you could often smell cigarette smoke in the communal area outside the apartment, but this didnât affect us when we were inside and is no fault at all of Thierry who was amazingly helpful with advice and information throughout the booking process and whilst we were in France.
This apartment is extremely well suited to families with children of any ages. The amenities and facilities in the area are excellent. We used the local grocery store for bread and croissants and enjoyed a walk into the town for plenty of other provisions.
We have skied in the same resort in another part of The Alps for many years and this was a change from our usual arrangements. We were very impressed with the skiing, friendliness of the ESF staff, the local amenities and the ease of driving and parking. We would certainly visit again and would certainly recommend this apartment for a very convenient ski in and ski out holiday.
Warm, rustic and immaculately furnished apartment 30 seconds from the village ski lift with amazing views of the mountain from the balcony. Great communication with Thierry and the concierge located next to the apartment was extremely helpful. There are a number of ski rental shops near the apartment, a supermarket for the essentials, a bakery, and a few restaurants if you don't fancy a 15 minute walk into the main part of the town. 100% would recommend!
Mooie woning met alle nodige benodigdheden. Overdekte Parkeergelegeheid. Nabij lift, waardoor gebied goed te bereiken is. Leuke prachtige vakantie gehad.
6 of us stayed at the property which is next to the chair lift and you can ski back to the apartment. Rooms were well furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Is probably a 15 to 20 min walk to the centre of Les Deux Alpes but we also made use of the free shuttle bus. Enjoyed our stay
From the moment we entered this property we absolutely loved it! So many things made our stay away from home easy. From handy usb plugs for charging devices, to travel cot and high chair, to fully kitted out kitchen, to super heated storage area to dry out damp gloves and other gear, to ample storage areas for clothes, it really was perfect! It was slightly difficult to locate the conciergerie to check in, hence the 3 out of 5 stars but other than that the stay was great. We will be back!
