About the host
Hosted by Lulu Gilmore
The idea of Cape Seaductive Resort & Spa was conceived in July 2017 when I took my two children back to my homeland of the Philippines for the first time. I wanted to show them the Philippines I knew as a little girl with the authentic Filipino culture and symbols. I thought it would be such a great experience for us to stay in a traditional Bahay Kubo, a stilted home built with thatched roof and bamboo floors/walls. But in this ever growing globalized world, finding lodging with a unique identity like that proved to be almost impossible. To my disappointment, I was not able to find that specific type of lodging that was small and focused but tailored to our needs.
So to fill this void, I decided to created my own boutique resort that can proudly articulate this specific traditional Filipino aesthetic. We are a unique travel experience offering personalized adventures that tell the story of Dinagat Islands and its beauty.
Cape Seaductive Resort & Spa is a splendid example of a boutique tropical destination. Our mission is to enable our guests to unplug and reconnect with nature. 98% of the materials we used to build our resort was harvested from our land. It’s organic, it’s rusting, yet refined. You will be visiting fragile, pristine and relatively undisturbed natural wonders. We are intended as a low impact and small scale alternative to standard commercial mass tourism. We focus on socially responsible travel, personal growth and environmental sustainability.
We cannot wait to share our tropical paradise with you!
