Bottoms Up double deck dock w/ slide, hot tub, near famous 'jumping bridge'
This beautiful cabin located on the Norris Lake shoreline in view of the famous jumping bridge has an enormous double decker dock w/ slide, private hot tub, lanai, and large decks overlooking the lake. A fully equipped kitchen overlooks the dining room and large great room.
The master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level (more details below). Up one level is bedrooms #3 & #4. Bedroom number #2 is up another level. Down one level from the main level is bedrooms #5 & #6. This level sports another TV room and the spectacular bar with billiard table. One more deck down is the private hot tub. Yes there is a hot tub. ** we change the water between each rental***
Your awesome double decker dock has dual covered slips, a kids slide, and so much room that you can play games up there. Seriously, bring your corn hole game. This entire dock is yours and directly in front of your home. *Yes the dock HAS a slide. During normal summer water level, there are approximately 60 steps to climb from the dock to the home. This is far below average for Norris Lake with private docks.
This dock has year-round deep water for your boats. Idle your boat for 10 seconds and you are looking at the famous jumping bridge. It is so close that you can paddle there yet far enough that you can't hear all the fun.
Launch your boat at your free, community boat launch 1/2 mile from your home. ALL trailers to be parked in designated parking area inside the community gates.
No boat? No worries! Simply call NorrisLakeWaterSports (ask for ‘10% Bertke discount’) or OasisNorrisLake. Both deliver right to your dock. Nearby Sugar Hollow marina, Shanghai marina, Springs Dock offer daily/weekly boat rentals.
The home has rooms for approximately 6 cars/trucks. Extra cars/trucks are parked in the designated parking area near the community pool (see below).
This neighborhood has a small, free, community pool with kiddie pool 1/3 mile from the cabin up a very steep street. It is clean but nothing fancy. There are no lifeguards or concessions. You don't need a pass. Parking is free.

We had a great time. The property is nice enough. It could use a linen update and kitchen update. Just the stuff like get rid of carpet and more seating room down stairs. Overall nice time was had by all.
We had a great week in Bottoms Up! We loved the location-close to the jumping bridge and Sugar Hallow but in a quiet cove. We loved all the amenities-hot tub, pool table, double decker dock with a slide, etc. This was our first visit to Norris Lake and we can’t wait to come back!

The property was accurate to its listing. We had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The lake hangout area was great and no one seemed to have anything negative to say. We will keep this property in mind again next time we want a lake get-a-way. Norris is a beautiful lake for sure!

Our 1st with ALL of the family- kids, grands, greats, spouses, boyfriends, friends ! They had a BLAST ! The deck & slide were a huge hit, the jumping bridge so close & fun! The house laid out nicely for our crew of 20 - could do own things & all be together in 1 place! A memorable week!
Loved our vacation on Norris Lake! House is just as described. We had age range from 3yrs old to 91 years old. Was close enough to Sugar Hallow marina for those who could not make it up and down the stairs to the boat. Will be back and use one of the Moss Oak Norris Lake Villas rental cabins.
Staying at Lakeside Estates is our favorite location on the lake and close to our favorite marinas. The communication was stellar for this property. We had several issues pop up (wrong code, AC issues, hot tub not clean/broken) and all were immediately addressed and maintenance was there very quickly. The home could benefit from a few updates cosmetically but overall we really enjoyed our week at Norris at this location.

Thanks for pointing out how quickly our crew addressed everything.
The latest upgrade is now a brand-new HVAC system installed 6-21-22.
The stairs down to the water were very nice and sturdy. The dock was great, kids loved the slide. House was clean when we arrived. Good location, near jumping bridge.Hot tub cover bracket was broke and very difficult to open and close, found the two screws in the hot tub water. The bunk beds were not as shown in pictures, 4 of the 6 bunks were metal not wood and were VERY squeaky/wobbly, difficult to sleep in.Only one pool stick with no tip, all the pool balls were chipped.Uneven temp throughout house. Some rooms were freezing others were hot, even with doors closed per signs.Good stay but probably would not rent this particular house again.
Overall great time. House had some strong points and some negatives.
Key features we enjoyed: boat house and dock; kitchen, living room and dining area. Both were perfect for our group. Good parking. Negatives included: old rotted raft tied up to dock area; threadbare towels and wash clothes and a lack of hand towels for the baths; two (at least) mattress pad covers had blood stains; missing TV from master bedroom; no couch or chairs in basement TV area; ceiling fan in upstairs bedroom was hanging with exposed wires and numerous other outlets just had bare wires as if the work was never completed. Just seemed like the house got heavy use and traffic and needs some deep cleaning and TLC. We’d return to Norris Lake but would look for a newer and fresher rental.

KAREN,
They were harmless speaker wires from an old sound system. Surly someone in your group would have pointed this out to you.
The couch has been replaced by a much more desirable billiard table (ref updated pictures). There was and still are still bar stools and high-top stools. You stated "No chairs" which was incorrect.
You came in mid-August after 18 previous groups. Yes, by then there has certainly been wear and tear.
You are correct that you will not be returning here.

Not what was advertised in listing.
Downstairs room did not have couches as listed. Garbage was not removed from previous renter. Crockpot was broken in box had to ask for a new one. Wires exposed in various walls. 2nd floor bunk bed had a rail missing. Dock (which was the attraction to rent) was not able to be used. Platform under rocks, we called to discuss this and told if we were unhappy we should vacate the premises immediately. Not a friendly response from management. Also had to make our own beds when we checked in and strip beds when we left. Will not use this site again.

During the winter season, the TVA drops the lake level approx 20 feet. This means reaching the dock becomes a challenge for this and many Norris Lake docks. This year with no rain, the water was 25 feet low. You were told by 3 different people to use the adjacent dock. Instead, you chose to start complaining about trivial items such as old, harmless speaker wires. I assumed this was a predictable and feeble attempt to ask for money back (which never works). As a result, I told you to immediately vacate the property and rent one of the many surrounding properties. This is the first time that I have had to resort to this procedure. You chose to stay. Your name has now been passed along to all the neighboring homeowners.
So as not to confuse future renters:
Early April to late September, the water is 'high' enough for easy dock access.
To be crystal clear, even in the cooler months low water conditions, the water depth under the dock is still at least 30 feet deep.
The missing couches are due to a recent upgrade of adding a 'cool' billiard table to compliment the awesome bar. See updated pictures.
This was a a Thanksgiving trip for me and my family. This cabin was perfect for us in size. We all came from different states to be together. We were surprised to not have good cellular service even with the Wi-Fi access. We was also surprised to only have two TVs in the entire cabin. It is very difficult getting in and out of the driveway. But this cabin is beautiful. We loved the hot tub, wetbar, and the pool
table. There are awesome views of the lake from any of the three balconies.
This is a great vacation getaway for a large family .
Once a year we get together and this was a great spot for fishing, hanging out and visiting. My son even caught a 20 pound catfish from the dock

Norris Lake
Norris Lake is amazing regardless. But the property was very outdated and kitchen was poorly stocked. Only provided 4 steak knives, etc. there wasn’t an ice machine which has proven very useful for being on the lake. There also weren’t any board games for the kids. The air conditioning was amazing and the deck slide amazing. But caution on the deck it needs work and is slippery with moss overgrowth.
The cabin was great and very spacious. We had plenty of room to spread out with our family that gathered from 4 different states to celebrate thanksgiving. We would love to return in the summer to make use of the dock.

Why they chose this property
They say 'location' means everything. 'Bottoms Up' is 7 minutes from the city of Lafollette, 5 minutes from the main road, inside a gated community, right on the water's edge, 1/3 mile from boat ramp, and almost in sight of the famous jumping (No. You cannot actually hear the bridge people.)
What makes this property unique
Double decker dock w/ kids slide, hot tub, community pool, lanai, fire pit.....
