Winter in Stowe!! Modern Stream side Home

This very new, stunning modern home integrates perfectly with the beauty of Sterling Valley. The home is surrounded by Sterling Brook and has been designed to bring the outside in. The tranquil sounds of the cascading river soothes the soul. It's like having a National Forest in your back yard!
 
The intention of the home is to be a retreat designed to bring families together to enjoy the majesty of the area. The home has a downstairs en suite master bedroom and an additional downstairs bedroom with a queen bed. The upstairs has 2 en suite bedrooms, one with 2 XL twin beds and the other with a queen. The great room/dining room has a gas fireplace, a dining table to seat 8 with room for more, large screen TV and large sectional. To start or end the day, enjoy a fire pit and insert for wood-fired grilling and spectacular views of the surrounding forest and brook. There is a gas barbecue grill available if weather permits.
 
Adjacent to the property are hiking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking trails. Within walking distance from the house is the Sterling Gorge (an amazing place to hike, or just enjoy the waterfalls), the VAST trail, the Catamount Trail, and the Sterling Forest mountain bike trails. The house is an 8 minute drive from the village of Stowe where you can enjoy farm to table dining, unique arts and crafts and shopping. 20 minutes from the Mountain Resort - take the back roads and skip the downtown traffic. Close to Stowe center restaurants, movies, shopping etc.

We had a lovely stay at this property, with two adults and three teen age children. The house is new with modern furnishings, with beautiful views of the surrounding trees and stream. Not a huge house but the layout was great for our family, with two bedrooms upstairs both with their own bathrooms, and two bedrooms downstairs including the primary suite. Well stocked kitchen, great Wi-Fi, nice linens and towels … nothing bad to say about the property or experience. Would definitely stay again!

Favorite family vacation spot yet thanks to this beautiful VRBO! The house is every bit as beautiful as described, and the location is storybook gorgeous. Amenities are perfect for family needs, but not fussy. Hosts have a custom booklet with everything you need to know waiting upon arrival. Three kids under 10 stayed busy for days tramping along the stream, exploring the woods, playing checkers and drinking hot chocolate. Youngest is already planning to return next year!

Such a unique and beautiful home. It was perfect for our family of five. We were able to get to the ski slopes in 20 minutes. The property is the perfect combination of relaxation and comfort.

Perfect family trip

Our family of 5, including three sons in their 20s, had a great time at this beautiful home. It was the perfect property to hang out in, inside and out, and a great home base for exploring Stowe and other towns, hiking and looking for good fly-fishing spots. The pictures are accurate; the house is stunning and very comfortable.

Family ski vacation

This home is beautiful as pictures show. The main kitchen/dinning/great room was a great location for all of us to relax after a day on the slopes. All the bedrooms are large and the beds were super comfy. Kitchen had everything you needed to whip up great meals. A few people had some cell service issues I assume due to the remoteness. Despite that quick drive to the village and Stowe Mt. Had a great stay!

Ski Snowboard getaway

This place was beautiful, brand new and amazing! Perfect setting with plenty of trees and privacy. The other houses weren’t nearby and we loved it. It was a short scenic drive to Stowe resort and there were plenty of coffee houses, small shops and restaurants for us to visit. The house was comfortable for us as a snails of 5 and we ended up with and extra room and bed not even being used. Perfect trip!

Truly amazing home in Northern Vermont

Family of five with three grown kids and we all had an amazing time at this beautiful retreat. The house is gorgeous and sits right along a stream on two sides of the house. The open floor plan of the kitchen and living area is ideal for family gatherings and the outdoor space with dining and fire pit is a really nice added bonus. The house is extremely well cared for and clean. The owners have created an exceptional oasis nestled amongst the trees of Vermont. If allowed, we will definitely be back.

Amazing winter escape

We really enjoyed our stay here while we visited Stowe. The house was perfect, with great attention to detail. The kitchen was beautiful and functional. The master shower was super spacious. One of my favorite things about the house was the river that wrapped around the back of the house. It could be seen and heard from the master bedroom, very soothing! Nothing but positive things to say about this home. Would love to come back one day!

Amazing house

The online reviews of this property are spot on. The house is beautiful with a huge open floor plan. All of the appliances are brand new. All of the dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc are high-end. The stream running next to the house is beautiful and relaxing. The property is about a ten minute drive to the village. This house felt like a home, not a rental property!

Tranquil, Cozy, and Classy

We've stayed at Linda & Greg's home a few times now, and this visit (Aug 2023) was as great as the past. It's always clean, nicely decorated & furnished, and the setting is amazing. The kitchen, living, and dining areas all flow well for being together, cooking, etc - but yet if you want to find a place to read alone, that's possible also. The bedrooms are comfy and quiet - 3 of 4 with en suite bathrooms. Being surrounded on 3 sides by the Sterling Brook provides the continual sound of nature, and although there are very light rapids, the bottom is shallow and clean enough to easily "trek" with our 5-year old - which is her favorite part of staying here! :)

Beautiful & Peaceful home

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous property. There were so many positives about this home. The gorgeous design, clean aesthetic, beautiful outdoor area, and plentiful towels! (loved all of the extra towels available!). The only thing I would change would be full house a/c or central a/c or more additional a/c units added to the home (which I know is only needed a short time out of the year)... unfortunately we were there in the summer when it was H-O-T! Overall, we loved our stay in Stowe. Don't hesitate booking this property... it's beautiful! P.S. - Highly recommend Trapp Family Bierhall for their delicious food & super tasty beer!

Gorgeous Vermont retreat

The house is even more beautiful in reality then in pictures. It's very modern and high end. It was spotless when we arrived. Worked perfectly for us with two families occupying two different levels with plenty of spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and getting together in grand open space of kitchen/DR/LR/fireplace. Everything worked very well: enough hot water/pressure for everyone to take shower at the same time, very comfortable bedding, high end kitchen appliances, huge pantry closets. Takes about 15 min local roads to get to ski base or center of town. Roads were in a very good shape in the midst of winter, so with some skills you don't have to have 4WD. Can only imagine how beautiful it looks in the summer time with the brook running down in the back. Owners were very nice and responsive. Would love to stay again! Thank You for creating this oasis.
