We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house in Cahuita, CR! The yard was full of lush tropical plants and wildlife. A paradise for nature lovers- waking up to the sounds of birds and monkeys made it a peaceful and unforgettable experience.

Perfect place, highly recommended. We loved the pool, the garden, the bbq. One thing: you would expect a dishwasher in such a luxury accommodation.

Beautiful Cahuita Home and Grounds

The layout was perfect for two couple (2 master suites)! Loved the pool, the beautiful landscaping, and the onslaught of monkeys behind the home in the morning and afternoon. The tennis court was a good surprise (although we played Pickleball on it).

A&Z’s Stay at Cahuita

We loved our stay here. The location is excellent, and the property is spacious & clean and well-equipped with anything you need. My only recommendation would be to ensure the drinkable water is full and to convert the chlorine pool to saltwater. The chlorine in the water is somewhat overbearing.

Clean and Private setting

Well kept property, very clean inside, modern house in a very private setting. Must have been at least 20 monkeys lounging with us in a nearby tree. The pool was refreshing and clean. We walked through the park along a pristine beach and encountered more monkeys, and a sloth.

Massively exceeded expectations

We can’t say enough positive things about our vacation in Costa Rica. We saw howler monkeys in the backyard every day, and were treated to a few capuchin monkey play sessions as well. The pool was great amd the beds were comfortable after long days enjoying the multiple beaches close by. We will definitely return.

Surrounded by Nature

My husband and I stayed at villa #2 for 5 nights. It was just as described on the listing (large and spacious) in a very quite area just minutes from Cahuita. Mornings were spent hiking trails in nearby parks. Afternoons were spent by the pool watching whatever was hanging around in the trees surrounding lovely outdoor area: monkeys, macaws, toucans, etc.We will stay here again the next time we're in the area.Ellie

Antonio is a very attentive host with a great staff on site.

First, this house is beautiful, clean, quiet and right behind Cahuita National Park, giving you the ultimate jungle experience. I especially loved watching the Howler monkeys and Toucans from the backyard. It’s like camping among the wildlife in a 5 star hotel. You’re close to nature and feel the tranquility and beauty of CR the minute you step inside. The pool is wonderful, garden exquisite; and the kitchen is well equipped to host dinner every night. I highly recommend this property if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town but still want a place close enough to pop into Puerto Viejo when needed.

Return visit

This was my second time renting and I liked it even better this time. Clean, in good condition. Quiet and private. Beautiful surroundings. I promised my son to see some monkeys and he wasn’t disappointed! My daughter and I slept on the daybeds in the living room. They were very firm to the point of being uncomfortable for me. But we were so busy exploring during the day that we slept well anyway! I would recommend that renters should have a car.

This was our 4th house on our tour through Costa Rica and our favourite! The house was clean and fully equipped. Poll was beautiful and full privacy. We were able to see monkeys and sloths right in the yard! Exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend.

Marriage Investment Time

Amazing is a great way to start. Costa Rica is a place we spend outside. The outside area here is hard to beat, it’s well thought out, clean etc . The pool , picnic table, fire pit/bbq and hanging chair in the trees and outdoor showers were awesome. The amount of wildlife we saw on this property was amazing , two toed sloth, green macaws, turtles, frogs, howler monkeys, agouti, white faced capuchin monkeys, hummingbirds, woodpecker, Amazon parrots, toucans , etc etc. . Weather here in December is a little tricky so we did have some wet days here but that took nothing away from our trip as it was meant to be for quiet time alone together with my wife to help rekindle romance after a season of never ending work. Type inside is maintained well A/C was wonderful to have , we cooked several meals here but it’s 0.3 miles to walk into Cahuita via the trail system here. We ate several excellent meals in town , amazing wine, fresh lobster, pasta, pizza, and if you love your coffee I suggest “ Aroma’s “ friendly , comfortable and fabulous cappuccinos . Five days went by quickly and we were on our way. The place reconnected my wife and I and I’ll always remember this lovely place forever.

Total relaxation with just the right amount of touristy stuff

We had a marvellous stay in this beautiful home in Cahuita. The proximity to the beach was close enough to walk-but the house was so beautiful and In Such a peaceful location that we had many options: beach or pool -reading, lounging and relaxing with a good book in hand. Thank you Antonio for you fast response and to Paulette and the team for making our stay relaxing and stress free!

Jungle Love

We stayed here for 8 nights with our 8 month old son. Paulette welcomed us graciously and Antonio was great to communicate with. They were kind enough to provide a crib and high chair for our son. The property is close to town and we walked into the national park a few times. Nice and easy walk to the park and beach. The property is close enough to the beach to hear the waves at night but you are buried in the jungle. We had all manor of birds (green macaws, toucans), plenty of monkeys, sloths on the walk - all within the view of the backyard pool. It was perfect for us to hang out at the property with our young son and still get the full park/jungle experience. The house is beautiful. Very clean and modern architecture that opens up to the outdoors. It was a wonderful experience. Plenty of space for our family of 3 and could easily accommodate another couple. The pool is wonderful and perfect size to play, lounge, jungle view. Binoculars are wonderful while soaking in the pool… Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something in the area of cahuita. The only recommendation we would have is to add some landscape lights to the path from the car parking to unit #2. There are a few trip hazards and we took advantage of cellphone flashlights to make the 100 m walk. Very small inconvenience, but could ruin a trip if you fall… In short, this property is quintessential PURA VIDA. Thank you Paulette for your kindness (she deserves a raise) and Antonio for the property!

Curiosity

To be honest, we truly enjoy our stay but there is a few things that have to be taken care of. Neighbors dogs 🐕 we are a dog’s friendly, we have dogs but there is something going on with them. Dogs howling all night, every night, to the point that we had to use ear plugs to be able to sleep. Please check what is going on there and if you can do something about this ! There is no dishwasher, but we managed pretty good. Definitely need new frying pans, and grill.

Nice house home over all.

Over all it was a very nice home. The staff was helpful. We had a good time. The only complaint I have, and it would be minor, is the beds. Not comfortable at all. Also the drive from San Jose to the home, we where told it would be 4.5hrs. The drive was closer to 5hrs, we never got lost or stopped for food or gas. So those traveling to the home from San Jose, please note it will be a long drive.

Paradise!

The stay at the Lilan Nature, Modern House No2 was completely awesome! The house was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook if we wanted to. There was a microwave, stove and oven. What I loved the most about the house was the light! There was light everywhere from the floor to ceiling windows! The pool was clean and inviting. There was beautiful vases in the kitchen area that had some of the flowers from the property. Nice touch! I forgot the bug spray but found that there was no need, we never had any issues with bugs. Don't get me wrong there were a few little bugs but you are in a secluded and private area literally in the jungle so you expect to see bugs but there was nothing that would cause concern or alarm. On the second day there we did spot some monkey's in the trees past the back of the property. They did not give us the pleasure of their company but they let us know they were there. The housekeeper Paulette was there waiting for us with a smile and plenty of information. We talked with the owner over the phone and he was warm and friendly. He gave us valuable information that helped make the trip through the mountains well worth it! Paulette and her mom came and prepared a meal for us Wednesday. They were professional, on time and the food was absolutely delicious! I have no complaints whatsoever. My husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we left happy and content and grateful that we chose this property. Thanks Antonio!
