hosts were kind and amazing. met us at the top of the hill, had an electric cart to help with our baggage, let us use the carport w/ locked key. the cottage was beautiful, beds were comfortable and showers were great. the view was gorgeous. close food and very central location. loved our stay, thank you so much.
I love the view and the old country charm displayed throughout the house, which is full of antiques. The private view was breathtaking. The cobblestone walk and streets were enchanting. It was a romantic storybook experience!
Fantastic house and stunning view. Everything was perfect for exploring the area. Lago di Como and gorgeous hikes in the local area. Great restaurants nearby. Hope to be back :)
Gorgeous place with an unbeatable view in a special village. It was worth the walk with the suitcases. Liana was very helpful and we loved our few days here.
This is a great place to stay if you want to experience the real Italian countryside with so much to do. The house is beautiful and very well kept. Great host.
A wonderful place to stay at! The house itself and the view from it!!! The small square was really nice with 2 bars, ice cream parlour and even a vinoteca. And restaurants within reasonable walkingdistance. Everything worked just fine like the contact with Liana who helped us with the luggage on arrival. So many places to visit in the close area too! We hade a fantastic week in Montevecchia! Linda & Erik
A stunning place to stay!!! The villa is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The view.....SPECTACULAR!!It was such a treat to walk into the village centre for some scrumptious food and the best gelato we've ever tasted! The hosts were incredibly helpful with the whole check-in and out process. The walk from where you can unload your bags to the villas was about 300m down a gorgeous (but steep) cobblestone path. The hosts made the experience so much easier by using an electronic wheelbarrow to take our bags to the villa. We really felt like this little Aussie family got a real Italian villa/ village experience.
A traditionally decorated Italian house with stunningly beautiful views. This was a unique experience for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. Owners were so friendly and helpful. We recommend highly and would love to return one day.
We could do all: walking and climbing in Lecco visiting Bergamo and Milano, shopping,
and had a great day in the farmhouse the one day when it was raining. It felt like living on a Island, no cars around!
This villa is a bit out of the way. But the views and the location are worth the short drive to get here. The villa sits on a hill overlooking the valley. With a church next door and a garage to park your car. This was the perfect stop over Easter weekend for me, my wife and 3 teenage daughters.
We could not have asked for a better house for our little family to call home for 2 months. Thank you so much to Liana and Cinzia, the owners, for always being there for all of our questions and needs. They even gave us a little swing for our daughter!
Wonderful little town with an absolutely stunning view from the house. There is a little restaurant right next door, and then gelato, bar, and restaurant in the little town that is walking distance. It was perfect!
Our family of five had a wonderful stay. The house was lovely. We enjoyed the views and walking up to the village for Gelato and sitting in the one eatery enjoying a late bite to eat and a glass of wine. Everyone in the area super friendly! There is a large grocery store about 12 minutes away. We did get supplies to make two homemade dinners. We took a day trip to Varenna along Lake Como. We also drove into Milan. We did spend a day just relaxing in the house and walking the nearby trails. Highly recommend!
The hosts are very nice and communicating with them was always very helpful and polite. We were even presented with a small stack of food in the fridge.
The house has probably the best view of Milano and on a good day to the mountains around Genua, just epic. The house itself is perfect (also for a family of five) full stop.
The way to the house is amazing, small, partly a little steep (nothing to worry to much about) paved way in the vineyard. In itself a touristic attraction. And finally: Montevecchia has the best gelato place ever.
Would we come back and/or recommend to others: absolutely always!
Amazing is not a good enough word for this property. Sipping wine outside over looking the valley and grape vineyards was breathtaking. The little square had the greatest restaurants.
And the hosts! They are so kind and ready to help. They met us in the square and helped take our luggage to the farmhouse. They provided a garage for our rental car. On the way out the owners helped us get out of there earlier than we told them we were. So grateful!
The house had everything we could have needed for my family! The room upstairs was perfect for my 16 year old. The pullout couch was so comfortable to sleep on and will be contacting the owner for the brand!
This is the perfect place to get away from the busy-ness of the bigger cities. Great 4 days we had and wished it was longer!
Very nice place to stay in general. Location/ view / quality of the house all good but the host should not have rent it out to us during building construction works going on half the period we stayed there. We were forced to leave the property during the day due to continious loud noices and people walking through our garden. After complaining they only sent a whatsapp stating sorry to hear about it but it is nothing we can do about . And thats not nice we had no amue for the money we paid. Fewo did nothing as well for us

We are truly sorry that half of your stay at our holiday house was disturbed by our neighbors' roof renovations, however we cannot accept such a penalizing evaluation for the following reasons:
1 Your booking dates back to 3rd October 2022, when we confirmed it we were unaware that 7 months later there would be renovations to our neighbors' house, therefore it was not foreseeable for us to freeze the rent of the house for that period.
2 We became aware of the start of the works shortly before your arrival and as soon as we learned about it, on April 20, 9 days before your arrival, we sent you the following chat on VRBO web site to inform you of the inconvenience: “We are sorry to inform you that our neightbours have started work renovation since few days next to our house (we weren’t aware about it) so we apologize for any inconvenience.”
3 You didn’reply anything to our message, so we thought it would not bother you as very often our guests use the house as a base and spend the day out to visit the surrounding tourist places. We would have been more than willing to cancel your reservation without any penalty if you had asked us.
4 Upon your arrival we reminded you again that there would be the possibility of some disturbance and we apologized again for this inconvenience which obviously did not depend on us.
5 You sent us the following whatsapp: “We love your house with its view and your hospitality. The only trouble is the noise since wednesday all day long by the workers. So we decided to stay away from the house from 8.30 - 18.00 hours.” We answered: “We apologize for that inconvenience” and you showed understanding by replying: “No problem. Nothing you can do about that.”
Now we wonder: why if in your message you wrote: “No problem. Nothing you can do about that”, in the review you wrote "... they only sent a whatsapp stating sorry ..."?
Of course we couldn't stop the neighbor's work and we have no right to avoid some sporadic transit on the common passage in the garden (common passage in the garden is specified in the house description).
In your review you also wrote “And that’s not nice we had no amue for the money we paid”.
For your stay you paid 79 euros per day, 39.5 euros each, for an independent house of 100 m2. well equipped, with private garage, luggage transport service, garden, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, panoramic view, etc. Frankly speaking we consider our rate one of our strong points. We have been rented our house for 8 years and this is the first time we receive such a complain, we feel to rejected it.
We consider your evaluation unfair and too much negative, so we cannot accept it.
Kind regards
Cinzia & Liana
We (a group of three couples) had a lovely stay in Montevecchia. The apartment was a good base for our day trips to the surrounding areas.
Only thing we missed, was an adequate amount of toilet paper (only two rolls) and wine glasses (only three wine and three champagne glasses for six people).
Also, there were no breakfast supplies for the first morning despite the promise given in the description of the apartment.
As the weather was on our side and we managed to stay most of our visit outside, we didn’t have any use for the tv which was a good thing, as we couldn’t get any channels to work.
It would also be a good thing to grease the hinges of the ground floor toilet as they squeaked quite a lot.
It’s advisable for the future guests to acknowledge that the nearest food stores are quite far and only accessible with car (or bike).
What we really appreciated was the friendliness and courtesy of Cinzia and Liana who helped to bring our luggage to and from the apartment and to find the parking for our car.
Our overall rating would be 4+.
Excellent property carefully renovated using quality materials. The hosts were very responsive and delightful people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this location and property very highly. The photos in the listing accurately reflect the lovely property.
As pointed out in the listing, there is a walk of 250 meters from where you can unload your luggage from your car. There is an authentic cobblestone path to the property which has a fantastic view over the countryside below. However, for those who may be challenged by walking up hill, you need to be aware that the cobblestone path is an aerobic opportunity when you decide to go into the town or to your car. It took some effort to adjust to the uphill walk when we went to explore the areas surrounding Montevecchia. Of course, we are in our 70’s so part of the challenge is related to our age so those in decent physical condition will likely have no problem with the walk but you do need to be aware that it is an uphill walk when you leave the property.
We enjoyed having drinks on the lawn and taking in the wonderful views in addition to the lovely accommodations.
Thank you, Cinzia, Massimo and Liana for making our stay perfect!!

Mooi, rustig verblijf, precies zoals foto’s zeggen. Je moet een redelijk stijl pad aflopen naar de woning. Met bagage wordt je geholpen. Maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden. Uitzicht fantastisch.
