The Coqui Palace is a waterfront two bedroom, two bath island getaway in the Historic Matlacha Fishing Village. Fish from the patio, and walk to local art and dining! This unit has been featured on television - and the moment you walk in, you'll see why! This fully equipped vacation rental has gorgeous bathrooms, new kitchen appliances, a full-size washer and dryer, and fold-out queen sleeper sofa. Take it easy in this top-shelf vacation home with a new dishwasher, ice maker, and garbage disposal. This is a great getaway for couples or families to vacation together. A luxury honeymoon villa, seasonal rental, or 'stay-cation' for Southwest Florida residents who need a taste of Island Life.Due to the past hurricane, we’ve lifted our house 10’ with stairs. It is not handicapped accessible as of yet.

This was our second time staying at this property. Great location. Beds (including the pull-out couch) were very comfortable. Neighbors helpful. I cannot say the house totally met our expectations though. When we stayed here 3 years ago the online pictures for this listing were accurate, but now all the rugs and colorful pictures and decor have been removed so it is not nearly as cute and fun. Perhaps the owners are just redecorating, but if this is the case, the online pictures and description need to be updated. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Spring Break

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and just like the pictures. Very well put together. It was nice to be able to have our 19foot boat behind the house in the canal. The one thing I am glad I researched beforehand was a place we could pay and keep our boat trailer. That place is The Old Fish House restaurant and marina. The road the rental is on is a one car road with no way to turn around with a boat. But the canal is very protected and the seawall worked very well to keep our boat. The neighbors all around are so great and friendly. I highly recommend this rental. Make sure you eat at the Blue Dog across the street.

Truly a gem

There's no way you can tell when you pull up, what a beautiful home this is. It is a very happy and spacious place to be and no one feels like they are in each other's way. Having bikes and kayaks add to the charm. we have stayed twice now on annual trips with our friends and we will not hesitate to stay again.

Amazing experience, manager, and property! Kept the boat in the canal 10 feet from back door! Easy access to bay and fishing. Really clean property that has been recently updated. Manager responded quickly and was outstanding to deal with. Walk to restaurants or bike with provided bikes! Will definitely be coming back.

Great spot!

The location was really good. Off the main road but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable, water pressure was awesome, little area in the back was a great place to enjoy coffee and was also good the one day it rained as it had an over hang. Was a lot of space inside which made it good for walker/wheelchair accessible. Walk in shower was also good although lots of water comes out with only a half glass wall. Only recommendation would be screens for the doors out to patio. Would definitely recommend this spot and owners! Thank you for a memorable trip to bring my 92yr mom on!

Felt right at home

This little cottage was perfect for us. We felt right at home. It was great being able to fish off the back dock, cook in the full kitchen, and more! We loved walking around the area and taking in the local cuisine. We would go back!

Roomy and attractive

We could not stop remarking about all the special touches and how we’d love to stay again. Our group had two sisters and one couple and they were space for all of us and then some. We were in a fishing tournament and only wish we had more time to enjoy this wonderful accommodations.

Great location for a weekend getaway

The description of this home could not be more accurate. One of the cleanest rentals I have stayed in. Great location and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The seafood is some of the best we have ever eaten. Waterways were very accessible with our boat and the extra lot for parking the trailer and truck was a big plus. This is old Florida at its finest!

We are located in the heart of the Matlacha Historic Fishing Village, with restaurants, live entertainment, shopping, and tons of activities within easy walking distance. Ecotourism is huge here, with the famous Calusa Blueway, a famous trail for boaters and kayakers to enjoy. Our birders and fisher folk will be right at home, as well as anyone who wants to just lay back and enjoy the island life with a spa day and a good book. We also have an empty lot across the street for trailer parking.
