About this property

Beautiful Fully Remodeled Beach Cottage. Short walk to beach through Resort.

This beach cottage unit was fully remodeled and finished in March 2019. New kitchen, new bathrooms, flooring, paint, many new furnishings, and all new appliances including A/C. It's beautifully decorated, quiet, and has all the comforts of home. We have a new 60" flat screen smart TV. Three bedrooms with King size, Queen size and two Double beds. Three bathrooms including two walk in showers.

Hidden Dunes is a gated community nestled in Destin, Florida. The Resort is masterfully designed and landscaped to create a rare sense of privacy. Hidden Dunes has it's own private "sugar sand" beach and is a short walk from the unit through the beautiful grounds. Southern Living rated Hidden Dunes as one of the best beach and tennis resorts in the USA. There are six private clay tennis courts, two USPTA professional tennis pros and a complete service tennis center. Two swimming pools with Jacuzzi/hot tubs and lots of comfortable deck chairs and tables are positioned around the pool.

During the summer peak season the minimum stay is 7 days. We rent Saturday to Saturday during the summer.

The beach is located a short walk thru beautifully landscaped trails (no highways to cross) or you may ride the complementary tram. The tram runs only during peak season and may not run due to Covid-19 safety protocols. Destin is also highly rated by Golf Digest. Over 400 holes of golf are available in the area and there is a course available for every skill and budget level. The Resort has 24 hour security with courtesy patrols. Outstanding open air lifestyle centers such as The Villages of Baytowne Wharf, Harborwalk, The Boulevard, Destin Commons Mall and over 60 Silver Sands Factory Stores offer exciting shopping and entertainment options for the entire family. Many restaurants are available for your dining pleasure.

The Cottage has FREE WIRELESS BROADBAND WI-FI INTERNET and local telephone service provided for your convenience, Smoking is not allowed in the Unit. Off-street parking is available adjacent to the Unit. The master bedroom is very spacious with a King sized bed and private bathroom with a large walk in shower. The guest bedroom has a Queen sized bed with a bathroom next to it with a walk in shower. The upstairs loft bedroom has two Full beds also with a bathroom with tub and shower combination. The Living/Dining Room has high vaulted ceilings and the walls are decorated with paintings by the Owner. The Living Room contains a large comfortable sofa, two easy chairs, coffee table and end tables. You can enjoy the HD cable channels and/or DVD/VCR disks on the new 60" Flat Screen Television. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, fridge with ice maker, microwave. We also have a toaster oven, electric can opener, coffee maker, and fully stocked dishes, pots and pans and kitchen utensils. The Dining Room table will comfortably seat six and there is a snack bar with two bar stools between the Kitchen and Dining Room. The Dining Room overlooks the lush grounds of the Tennis Center. If you wish you may enjoy the same view from the large screened-in balcony. The balcony is equipped with a table, side table and 6 chairs.

Loved this place, very clean and even better in person! The entry way closet had everything you’d need to enjoy your day at the beach and more. Location is great no more than 5 minuets from anything you’d need during your stay. There are many attractions and restaurants to enjoy and the beach was nothing short of amazing!

Kathy is so kind. Booking with her was so easy. Her rental is beautiful. It is so spacious and everyone has their own bathrooms and areas. The unit is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Roberta, the security officer, made the trip extra special because she is so kind and friendly. The condo and property owner are amazing! The walk was a little too much for our 2 year old, but you can drive to park closer to the beach access. There is also a tram service which was available frequently. Unfortunately, the main pool was broken for the majority of our week-long stay.

The property was just as stated but even better. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. They even supplied things for the beach, towels, toys, cooler.... The walk to the beach was nice as you went through the property with shade trees and the water fountains. We will definitely be back next year.

We had a great stay at this property!! It is a little longer than a “short walk” in my opinion as we traveled with toddlers and all of their snacks/beach toys. However, we used the tram daily so the distance wasn’t a big deal!! The owner was quick to answer all questions and was so nice!! Sandestin is our most favorite area to stay!! We will be back!!

Paradise in Destin is found in Unit #139

This is our 5th time renting this unit and we LOVE it! The owners are wonderful to work with, very responsive and concerned that you enjoy your stay. I cannot say enough about the recent remodeling of the unit: The tile flooring is perfect for a beach environment, decor is very upscale and relaxing, new appliances, and the showers in all 3 bathrooms are stunning! We are ready to book this unit again for next year!!

The owner is very nice. She always response promptly to all my messages. She is very helpful and kind. Her property was cleaned and organized. The house has all kitchen supplies necessary for 10 people, plenty of towell, and beach towell separates. I love the little beach closet with cooler, umbrella and all beach accessories. There were many Thank you Kathy for a wonderful preparation to give us the great trip.

Nice family vacation

This property was affordable for our two daughters, a fiancee, and a 1 1/2 year old, my husband, and I to have a week to spend together. The newly updated inside was very nice; the beds were comfortable, and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were a definite plus. It was fully stocked, including beach chairs and towels. My only sad point here was that I could not hear the ocean. Otherwise, perfect place to stay.

The condo was excellent! Just as described, clean, had everything we needed. The decor is beautiful! The owner, Kathy, was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Loved that they had beach towels and some chairs available. The private beach area was great too - the rental chairs/umbrellas are worth it. The golf cart was running and it was so nice to be picked up for a quick ride to/from the beach...but the walk was easy too. The option for multiple pools was very nice and they weren't crowded at all. Will definitely rent again!

This property is clean . There is a walk to the beach and no shuttle ever ran. There are no near by

No near restaurants to walk to if on beach occasionally there are food trucks that come close. This place is very family oriented especially for families with small children. It does have security. No work out facility.

Our best Vrbo experience to date

The property is ultra clean. Bathrooms and kitchen are brand new. Appliances are top of the line. We cooked almost every meal at the apartment and the kitchen is well appointed. It accommodated 4 adults and two children (10-12) with ease. Water heater was a champ with 3 showers running at once. The covered porch was a big hit. The ac in the apartment is amazing. We had to raise the temperature to 76 degrees because it was so cold! There are 4 beach chairs, beach towels, toys, and even a beach fishing rod that caught us a great fish one evening. Location can’t be beat. Steps away from largest and best pool/hot tub. Gas grills (very powerful) in two very convenient locations and very clean. Tennis courts are right behind the apartment but you can hardly hear when somebody is playing. Walk to the beach was 7 min. Tram started operating while we were there. We also drove our car to the beach access and there was always parking. Apartment is located away from the tourist craziness but close enough for us to drive to attractions when we wanted. Traffic is much lighter on the non tourist side :). I can keep going about how good this place is but the best compliment I can give is that we are already planning on staying there next year. Note: We brought beach chairs and umbrellas. At the beach there is a company that rents chairs/umbrellas (not cheap) and you can only put your umbrellas behind theirs (they will even drill the hole for you). Net, if you want to be near the water just bring your chairs and you can park yourself in front of them.

Comfortable newly remodeled condo

Great stay. Roomy bedrooms, nicely appointed bathrooms, comfortable beds. Kitchen isn’t big but was well appointed compared to many rentals- we didn’t lack for much and we cook a lot. Pool and beach toys, chairs and beach towels in unit were great. This is a 2nd story unit with stairs to enter and 3rd bedroom is a loft with narrow spiral staircase. Worked for us but would have been an issue if my elderly mother had been with us. Hidden Dunes is a very nice property and we enjoyed the grounds. Very close to Sandestin. We are big pickleball players and were disappointed in the courts at Hidden Dunes. They are clay courts and pickleballs just don’t bounce well on them. The Sandestin courts are great though and we went there to play.

Why they chose this property

This ocean front beach is the best in the country and the six clay tennis courts are great. The unit is located close to the beach with a free tram during peak season-----no highways to cross. Wonderful shopping up at upscale shops and great family theme parks for the kids. Fishing and golfing are one of the best in the country. Before my family purchased, we drove up and down the Gulf Coast of Florida looking for the ideal location. It is far and away the best of the best.

What makes this property unique

This condo feels very cozy and like home with comfortable beds and everything you would need to feel at home. It is the latest in design and feels very luxurious. A lot of time and care was taken to beautifully remodel this very loved condo. Please relax and take in the good energy and healing vibes. We only rent during the summer season as it is not an income property - it is our home. We have all new, high-end appliances and a new 60" flat screen tv in the living room.

Hidden Dunes is a gated community with 24 hour security. The resort is beautifully designed with lush grounds, swimming pools, hots tubs, a fully staffed tennis center, fountains, large lake, BBQ grills and basketball court. Everything is well maintained and a wonderful setting to relax and have fun.
