It was exactly as described. We had a fantastic trip and absolutely loved the location and grounds of the property. Breakfasts on the lanai were a highlight! Definitely made use of the amenities in the closet and fold out chair bed. The fold out chair bed is not the most comfortable for sleeping and is a bit more narrow, but it did the job for a young child. Loved swimming at the pool in the evenings and grabbing dinner there. Will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful spot

We stayed here for four days in early February and it was great. The unit is very charming and comfortable, the lanai is peaceful and relaxing, and the host was always responsive and an absolute wealth of knowledge about the island. We would definitely look to stay again on our next trip to Kōloa!

South Shore Perfection

This is the second time we've stayed in Merris's condo. We love the location, convenience, and all the extras included for beach fun. The A/C is a huge bonus after being in the sun all day. And the access to the Athletiv Club is wonderful!

A relaxing paradise

We loved our stay at Kiahuna Plantation. This was our second trip here and it was even better than the first one. The unit is lovely and very nicely appointed with anything a family could need - especially in the kitchen and in the outdoor gear closet!Communication was excellent and we enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. We will definitely be returning!

Love this location!

Situated walking distance between the best beaches on Kauai and Poipu Athletic Club (pool with slide, private swim lessons, pickleball courts and a great restaurant that has live music). We loved our second stay here and are already starting to plan another trip back!

Island excursion

While we have visited Maui several times, this was our first trip to Kauai. What a great island. We had a relaxing stay, enjoying the changing of the seasons. The location of the condominium is perfect. A short walk to the on-site beach. A short walk to Poipu Beach. If you go, make sure you get a veggie Puka dog!

This condo and property were beautiful!

It had everything we needed. Access to the Poipu Athletic Club was so nice, we really enjoyed it and the beach is really nice. The condo was clean too!

Awesome place to stay!

We had such a great stay at this condo in Kiahuna Plantation. The unit was modern, clean and so comfortable for our week long stay. Perfectly located in Poipu, just a quick walk to the sandy beach and restaurants, coffee shops and stores walking distance right across the street. We will be back to stay at this condo! The unit had beach chairs,, towels and an umbrella. You could walk just about anywhere- from a small grocery to great dining and the beach was a very short walk! Thank you

Wonderful condo, wonderful owner

This is a great place to stay. We would be happy to stay here again. Condo is in perfect shape, up to date amenities and is just as described in the listing. Owner is first rate with communication and making sure everything is in perfect working order. On site property management/maintenance/support were terrific as well.

Nice stay!

Overall, great stay here! Stated 5 nights there in Poipu and 5 in Princeville. The location was nice and close to shopping area. The place was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Has AC! Nice to have chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Access to the club across the street was cool with a pool, gym, tennis/pickle ball courts and restaurant right there. Had a good time here and would recommend.

Perfect location!

The condo was perfect for our family, it was tucked away from the man lawn but still a very short walk to the beach. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved have the large lawn area just outside for our 4 year old son to run around on. Plenty of sand toys and beach chairs for us to use too. Meris was very prompt in answering any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Perfect family vacation!

This was truly the best unit we have stayed in on the whole property. My family travels to Kauai every year and has stayed in multiple units, never have we had a place that was so stocked full of things we needed, and extremely clean. The huge flat screen TV and extra bed chair turned it into luxury…. Even though you won’t need to watch any TV on the property, it’s an amazingly beautiful place to relax and soak in Hawaii. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful updated condo with a great location

We loved our stay at unit 59! The condo is beautifully updated, clean, well stocked with everything we needed and a great location. The owner was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Our 1.5 year old loved the huge grassy lawn right out of the lanai to run around on, and although there is no ocean view the beautiful bridges and trees made up for it! The air conditioning was a huge plus for us as well as the big screen TV. We loved our stay and would love to return!

Spent Christmas at this amazing condo!

This is a beautiful condo in a magical setting just steps from Poipu Beach. We checked in on Christmas Eve which was a little different for us as we usually don’t travel that day, and it was so easy. We immediately felt comfortable and ready for our beach Christmas! The condo is exactly as described (lovely decor and amenities) and the owner was so kind and responsive. The house guide and follow up communications checking that we were settled and enjoying ourselves were nice touches. The owner also provided a great list of options to tour Kauai and sightsee after we checked out and still had a good day until our late flight back to the mainland. The building is in a great location on property, close to the beach path, the beach hut (where you get your awesome beach towels, beach gear, snacks, etc.), and to well maintained laundry facilities. The machines were quick and in great working order. The owners locker with chairs, beach umbrella. coolers, etc. was so nice to have! We spent amazing days at the beach, enjoying the turtles and monk seals who sunned themselves daily - so special! We grilled and also used the kitchen for a few easy meals. We had everything we could possibly need. We look forward to returning someday!

Great Host

We had a wonderful time in Kauai. The location was perfect for our family because of the short walk to the ocean, short walk across the street to the athletic club and pool, and the many green spaces in front of and around the condo to play soccer, football, tag, etc. We especially enjoyed the single ground floor story of the condo and the walk out porch to the huge green space. Merris, the host, sent us a long document with instructions, and lots of ideas of fun things to do. Laundry on site was a plus. The housekeeping situation includes one towel exchange during the week stay and you have to pay if you want more towel exchanges. For the beach towels, you have to make sure to have the beach towel cards on hand and exchange a card for a towel and the resort manager said we would get charged if we didn't turn in all the towel cards at the end of our stay. We managed just fine, but it was something we had to keep track of - especially with kids. There is a flyer upon resort check-in with with more information on the gnat situation and how it's basically out of everyones control. Thankfully there is a broom and vacuum in the condo so I could keep the floors clean from gnats. There are also cleaning supplies stocked under the sink so keeping things fresh and clean was easy. Also included was plastic wrap, foil, baggies, and lots of kitchen tools. There was nothing that we needed that we didn't have. Merris was very accommodating, communicative, and kind. We would definitely book with Merris again.

Beautiful Property

Great experience! Lots of room, very clean and everything was nice quality. Dishwasher was helpful and the air conditioner worked great! Hosts provided a great information packet with restaurants and things to do.

Quick Impromptu Trip

We decided to book a quick trip with short notice and came across this great property. We stayed around Poipu/Koloa most of the time going back and forth between all the beaches. 2 minute walk to the beach right in front of the property and a 10 minute walk to Poipu and Brennecke. The unit was great for the 4 of us and nice having two pull out beds. Owner has the place stocked with everything you need for the beach. We’ll def stay at this property again. Thanks for a great experience.

Perfect Place in Poipu/Koloa

Clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped end unit. Nice kitchen and beach extras. First floor means easy access to lawn and beach. I have seen a number of units in Kianhuna Plantation and this is one of the best I have seen. Owner communication was excellent.

Wonderful Condo in Paradise

We had the privilege of staying in this condo for a week. Merris was very helping in providing use with very useful information before our stay, and checked in a couple of times during our stay to see how things were going and if we needed anything. The condo was well stocked. The outside storage area had beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, etc. The condo was bright and cheery. It had air conditioning, which we did not have to use. It was a short walk to the wonderful beach across the beautiful lawn. We look forward to a return to this condo!

A little bit about me.....
I went all four years of high school in Paris, France. I then attended University of San Diego. My husband of over 15 years and our 2 girls live in San Francisco. I went from pharmaceutical and medical device sales to becoming a Zumba and fitness instructor. My family and I are big into outdoor sports: tennis, hiking, biking, scuba diving (that's a sport, right?), you name it. Adventure and outdoor activities were two of the main reasons fell in love with Kauai.

We prefer to use VRBO when booking our stays. We choose listings where we feel an owner would be proud and comfortable to stay themselves. We enjoy having the comforts of our own kitchen, the travel tips provided and the incredible cost savings compared to nearby hotels. I don't want to be forced to tip Room Service for bringing me a bucket of ice, paying $6.00 for a tea bag and water or throwing away an expensive lunch because I don't have a fridge or dining room in my hotel room.

We have taken those values and more and provided them for our own guests. Our condo on the sunny shores of Kauai's famous Poipu Beach provides more than a stay. It provides an experience. We host as we would like to be hosted. We offer extensive amenities, prompt communication, honesty, a welcome packet filled with activities and recommendations throughout Kauai. We also welcome guest feedback in an effort to constantly improve. We would be honored to have you in our little slice of paradise.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I had been to Oahu and Maui prior to our first trip to Kauai in June 2018. We fell in love with the island on the first day. All of the activities, variety of sightseeing, incredible hikes and clean beaches really made an impression on us. Kauai does not feel over developed which was important to us. We like that we can fly directly from the West Coast too! We chose our condo because it is on the sunniest part of Kauai and on the best beach. Our huge draw to the property was being on the Kiahuna Plantation. It's so beautiful, convenient, filled with history, well maintained, and well appointed. We lucked out in finding our condo. My husband and I made an offer before our flight and rejoiced when we found out it was ours upon landing! It was meant to be.
