The ocean view was spectacular and the beach was great. The house was clean and family friendly. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in the Ensenada area. Thank-you

Amazing property will definitely be reserving again in the future.
We’re so grateful to the homeowners for sharing their beautiful Ensenada beach house with us. From the moment we walked in, the ocean view took our breath away. The direct beach access made it easy to spend our days between the sand and the house was charming, comfortable, and surprisingly private. It often felt like we had our own stretch of beach. This was one of the best family experiences I’ve ever had. For a few days, we got to live the dream of being beach house owners at a very reasonable price. I cannot thank the hosts enough for making that possible. The directions were clear and accurate. The last bit of road is gravel, but even my 23-year-old Toyota made it through. I’ll probably refresh the suspension before the next trip just for peace of mind. Wi-Fi was reliable and helped us sort out our local cell service before heading into town.Communication with the hosts was excellent. My wife and I both want to express our appreciation for how much care went into making our stay enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back when we can.Thank you.
You can’t beat having the beach as your backyard and Phillip is the best host he was there to help us with all our needs. We’re looking forward to our next stay.
Our Christmas vacation was so much fun enjoyed running on the beach eating at the local restaurants the bufedora just around the corner. Highly recommended will come again the host were so helpful and a big shoutout to Matt thank you
The location can’t be beat. The path down to the beach is fantastic and the only sound at night is the waves. Extra bonus that they allow for a dog. BUT as someone who rents a house based on the reviews on VRBO, I take issue with the folks saying this property is “exceptional.” The house is clean but very tired. Rust is everywhere (window blinds, shower rods, lounge chairs) and the sliding door does not slide. There’s a reason they don’t show photos of the kitchen. I’ve traveled the Baja peninsula for 25 years so I understand the vibe and expect some inconveniences in exchange for seclusion and beauty, but I would not rent this house again.
Nice view, pretty, classic house. The house is fully equipped with utensils and the views to the beach are amazing.
Arrived during daylight since it is a little complicated to get there and see the exits.
The house is right on the beach. Nothing beats that. Safe community, close to Bufadora. Very private and the beach is not crowded.
The hosts are the very definition of hospitality. I needed help with things not even related to my stay, and I always got helped.
Overall, had a great stay.
location is amazing. there were lots of comments about the directions yet they are EASY. so dont worry. but dont use GPS per owners recommendation which I trust. Philip stayed in touch with us throughout our stay , checking in which was very nice. Owner recommendation for quick local groceries was great. yes, bring bug spray and if needed go to a pharmacy and get Gelmicin which helps.

Propane heating a challenge! Perfect for summer stay...
While the owner could get propane heaters to work- wall and portable - tenant could not. Left the property after 3 nights.
Beach is far from clean.
We’ve been to punta banda multiple times. We love it and keep coming back. Beautiful beach as your backyard. Pods of dolphins in the morning while sipping coffee, beautiful sunsets in the evening. All day boogie boarding for my kids.
House is spacious. Owners have great communication. Though, Come prepared with bug spray. unfortunately my teenage boys were eaten up by mosquitos. Other than that, our stay was great!
Communication with our host was great and he welcomed us in-person when we arrived. He also offered great insights and opportunities for the area and provided wonderful support during our visit. Everything matched the listing and photos. We loved the sights and sounds of the beach right outside our window. Various levels of grocery shopping were conveniently located nearby and more unique needs were satisfied by going into Ensenada. We cooked all but one meal at the house. We did not seek local entertainment but there were options. We had a very relaxing 10 day trip.
The house was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The neighbors were great. The family wants to return again in the future.
We visited during the coolest time of the year. The home heating was not great. The mornings were a little chilly. This home is located about 15 minutes from town. The roads are not great.
We found some great restaurants in the area. We loved Sharky's. This was also pretty close to La Bufadora. We also saw dolphins swimming behind the house two mornings.
I would say this place is PERFECT for the summer. I would stay here again in the summer. It is very clean and comfortable. It has perfect views and windows to enjoy the beach inside or out. The night views of the coast lights are also nice and . I stayed in February so it was chilly as you would expect. Ample heaters were provided. I was still able to nap in the sun outside in the patio a few times. The washer and dryer are a bonus to have. The caretaker and owners are super responsive with any and all issues. Very much enjoyed the house and would come back again in the summer! My 4/5 stars for the accuracy of the online listing is only for the location. It is not clear on the listing map (a VBRO thing) but the owners gave excellent directions.
We came to Ensenada because we’ve been to Rocky Point multiple times and were told the seafood is better here - true it is. However, where we stayed is not resort quality. It’s built by people who wanted beachfront. If your vacation has to do with being near the bufadora then it’s perfect. If you want to be close to Ensenada, then It’s around 40 mins. away. With the directions, they’re a little confusing. So if you initially put in Mama Bear’s pizza it gets you a lot closer to the KM12 marker. The dirt road actually is a lot longer than thought. Might have been easier for us to find if we were there before the sun set, but we found it. We wouldn’t rent this home again ONLY because of the bathrooms. Silly to say, but because they were the tandem type and couldn’t really be securely locked for toilet area , we were a little uneasy. Also no bathtubs for little kiddos. But otherwise the house is a beach house intended to be enjoyed for the beach.
There is no dishwasher if that’s a thing for you. And the children’s room, while still accessible thru the home, has a separate entrance. And no ladder for the bunk bed.
The laundry room we didn’t need to use but the machines looked in relatively good condition but the room itself, well it needs a little help.
The parking is out on the street. Nothing secure.
Philip is a wonderful host and I’m sure if we had, had any real problems he would’ve helped. All in all it’s a quaint place to stay. And as long as you’re not expecting resort style amenities then you’ll enjoy yourself here.
