Didn’t know where the hot tub was located. Host for this residence wasn’t available and never responded to my texts. The bathroom toilet would not flush. My husband purchased a part to fix the toilet for our convenience for our stay. Would not stay again.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the issues you experienced during your stay. The hot tub location is listed in the house guide, but we apologize if it wasn’t clear. We also regret the communication issues and that the toilet was not functioning properly, we appreciate your efforts to make it work during your stay.
We are actively addressing these maintenance issues to ensure future guests have a smooth and comfortable experience.
Tucked up in the trees. Very quiet, clean, good linens, yummy coffee, near a park, nice walk to town but a steep walk home. I highly recommend this place.

Nice hot tub, comfy bed. Clean, no frills, plenty of bedding and towels. Access to laundry was helpful. Couch was not very comfortable for additional sleeping option.

Just as advertised. Not fancy but had everything we needed. Amazing view from the windows like you are in the trees. If you come for Ironman you will need a rental car as this unit is about 20 minutes from race stuff. The hot tub was fantastic to have.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you had a great and wonderful staycation. We look forward to your next visit!
All in all it was a nice rental. The hot tub wasn't working until the last few hours the night before we left, the dish washer left the dishes looking dirty, and there wasn't enough room for our garbage but those are my only complaints. We had a big group and rented both the apartment above the garage and the house. it is an awesome location and we had 3 rental cars to park so were glad to have enough parking spots.

You get what you pay for at this condo in Juneau! This is a very no frills spot, close to the hiking trails and the downtown scene. There was no toilet paper when we arrived, also no wash cloths. It is a lot cheaper than the local hotels though, so you should take those savings and go buy toilet paper at Fred Meyer before checking in.

Decent location but couple of issues when we got there
Nice location and living space was clean however the toilet seat was missing and the hot tub advertised was dirty so we didn’t use. Owner was easy to communicate with and had someone bring me toilet seat in a few hours.

Bare Bones
This place is bare bones. We enjoyed the walkability to town but that’s it. The bed is extremely soft, temperature is hard to control in the unit. No hairdryer, or ironing board. Missing a lot of things (including dinner plates) that would make for a better stay/kitchen. Pretty neighborhood, nice 15min (1mile) walk to town which we enjoyed.

Nice place. Small little changes would make a big difference
Recommend property:
- small blanket too, along with just white sheets enough to stay warm or comfortable when the weather changes in Juneau. If sleeping in living room travelers don't carry blankets.
- needed to buy paper towels , hand towels in kitchen specific
the store only had six packs, a very small item that should be included.
- include somewhere to place luggage on rack, or shelf instead only place on the floor.
Overall nice place and convenient nice location.

Great location and size. Very clean. I dropped some of the stars only for lack of sleep due to the bed. This bed is soooo soft and not in a good way. I have stayed at many places and it is alway a medium or higher. So i did not sleep well. I tried the couch but it kinda cheap and part of the from will dig into your back.
The kitchen is small and cute. Easy to work way. agoodceay.

Thanks for your feedback, I will take a look at the bed. We hope you enjoyed your stay.
Loved the area- the hiking trail nearby has incredible views , close to downtown - however, the Property seemed neglected-our apartment was clean a drip pan on old - but functional stove was broken - was not able to use that burner.the only other issue was when the guest staying in other apartment ( also a VRBO)) left- the next day we lost internet-the cable modem was in the other apartment- I think that the gentleman that lives in basement of other building had something to do with it because it was the next day ( not the day vacationers check out service went out) also the hot tub is in front of long term tenant’s window- so using it was a hard no for us - and for the people who stayed in the other apartment also. Yard was unkept, weeds and ground cover not maintained - in area behind the second building where it could be nice courtyard and hot tub put there- .

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed the location and the nearby hiking trails. We also appreciate your honest notes on areas that could be improved. We’ve addressed the stove issue, and we’re looking into moving the internet equipment so it’s fully independent for each unit to avoid future interruptions. Your comments on the hot tub location and outdoor space are valuable, and we’ll be considering adjustments to make them more comfortable for guests. We’re always working on improvements and truly appreciate your perspective to help us enhance the experience.

Just a mile from your doorstep, you can lace up your boots and hit the Flume Trail or the Mt. Roberts Trailhead for some of the best hiking in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts will also love the chance to book a fishing charter or embark on a scenic cruise through Tracy Arm, where you can witness the breathtaking blue hues of calving glaciers.
For hiking, head to the top of Evergreen Avenue to access the scenic Flume Trail, which connects to the Mt. Roberts, Mt. Juneau, and Perseverance trailheads. You’ll also find excellent hiking opportunities at Eaglecrest, our local ski area on Douglas Island, just across the bridge.
To really experience the magic of Juneau’s natural beauty, head 15 minutes north to the Mendenhall Valley for a guided hike. There, you’ll discover the iconic Mendenhall Glacier, cascading waterfalls, and abundant wildlife.

For a quieter evening, catch an indie film at the family-owned Gold Town Nickelodeon, a small repertory theater downtown. Prefer the latest blockbusters? Two other theaters in town screen new releases.
Other popular activities include whale watching and boat tours up the Taku Inlet, or relaxing at one of Douglas Island’s beaches. You can also rent stand-up paddle boards at Blue Nose Surf, sea kayaks at Alaska Boat and Kayak Shop, or even a motorboat from Panhandle Power Boats.
From the cruise ship docks downtown, you can book a range of excursions—ziplining, dogsledding, fishing trips, and helicopter tours to glaciers. You can also hop on the Mt. Roberts Tramway here for panoramic views of the city and beyond.
And finally, don't miss a tasting at the Alaskan Brewing Co. in the Lemon Creek neighborhood—a perfect way to toast your Alaskan adventure.
