Cozy and spacious cottage between Mougin and Mouans-Sartoux

If you want to relax, unwind and inhale crisp country air - you are at right place here! You find hectares of flowering gardens, a river peacefully streaming by, open big fields and yet you are not far from many things to see and do nearby! Like Cannes etc
The cottage is located in the park of a unique historic estate owned by one family since 1957. Ponds, lakes, and mature water gardens with interesting rare trees and a peaceful river passing by below the terrace of the cottage. Green hills and big open fields make you feel you own the world. Go walking along the peach orchard for fitness or to the pool in the gardens for a swim under a blue sky gives you all the energie you want to get from this holiday!
The cottage is only 10 min drive away from local shops, 15 min from Cannes and lovely Villages like Valbonne and Mougin, Theoule or Antibes are not far from beaches.
Grasse is famous for perfume and ountain walking nearby.
The house is extremely comfortable with everything in the kitchen you need to prepare a meal and a BQ can be supplied.
There is a 3 drawer freezer, big fridge, dishwasher, gas hob and new oven and all the tools and dishes you may want!
The spacious bedroom has air condition and supplies big hanging spaces and a cozy ambiance. Ere is also a mosquito net for the bed. The comfortable bathroom has a good shower and many shelves! Towels and good bed linen make you feel well in your surrounding!
There is internet and a TV in the salon an die many good books to read! Candles for evening dinners on the terrace are supplied.
A laundry room has new washing machine and dryer.
You will not miss anything !!!
The cottage can be rented longterm from October to May.

Staying at a magic forrest

My husband and I visited Irma’s cottage for our honeymoon in south France. When we arrived we were surprised by the nature and the house’s excellent aesthetic and decoration. It was the best choice for staying as we felt like living in a place out of fairytales. Irma is a great hostess she helped us with everything in the property and gave us very useful advices for the places that we wanted to visit! I wish we will come back some time! Lovely retreat

Beautifully located cosy cottage on an elegant and large estate. Very handy for restaurants and shopping. We had a relaxing and memorable time, with Irma looking after us very well despite now having to run her expansive property pretty much single-handedly. Her influence is obvious in the tasteful, homely, comfortable interiors. We mentioned the under-performing fridge so it can be put right for future guests. Long-term, the cottage needs air conditioning though fans and anti-mosquito strategies helped. The round pool, elegant pool house and Coco the daft dog were highlights! Highly recommended, just a couple of tweaks needed for perfection!

Oase der Ruhe an der umtriebigen Côte d’Azur

Wir hatten zwei schöne und sehr entspannte Woche in dem sehr gemütlichen Ferienhaus auf einem wunderschönen und sehr großzügigen Anwesen. Vielen Dank nochmals an Irma, die tolle Gastgeberin. Das Haus war sehr komplett und gemütlich eingerichtet und insbesondere die Klimaanlage haben wir genossen. Einzig der Kühlschrank müsste mal erneuert werden, da die Kühlleistung sehr schwach war. Insgesamt eine tolles und stimmiges Feriendomizil.

Gemütliches Haus auf wunderschönem Grundstück

Das Haus ist sehr schön und ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Das Grundstück ist wunderschön, man ist mitten im Grünen. Wenn man möchte, ist man jedoch auch schnell im Trubel in Cannes, Antibes oder Nizza. Es liegt also optimal. Der Pool auf dem Gelände ist recht groß und schön gelegen. Obwohl dieser mit Gästen eines weiteren Hauses auf dem Grundstück bzw. mit der Familie der Gastgeberin geteilt wird, steht man sich "nicht auf den Füßen". Es ist alles sehr angenehm entspannt. Die Gastgeberin ist ausgesprochen nett und kümmert sich um alles, damit die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Das hat bei uns auch sehr gut geklappt, denn wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Noch ein Tipp: Das Schlafzimmer ist klimatisiert. Wer das nicht mag und bei offenem Fenster schlafen möchte, sollte ein Moskitonetz mitbringen. Wir können dieses Haus und seine Gastgeberin sehr empfehlen.

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft die keine Wünsche offen ließ . Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Herrliches Landhaus im Hinterland von Cannes

In einem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienhäuschen auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück einer alten Mühle findet man Ruhe. Der Weg zum Pool, an dem man sich sehr gut entspannen kann, führt durch einen herrlichen Garten. Das ganze wird von der Gastfreundschaft der Besitzerin überstrahlt, die in der Mühle direkt nebenan wohnt. Sowohl durch ihre wertvollen Tipps für die Umgebung zu sehenswerten Zielen und Restaurants als auch durch ihre großzügigen Willkommensgeschenke fühlten wir uns sehr gut umsorgt. Wir genossen frische Pfirsiche aus der eigenen Pfirsichplantage während der Erntezeit und zur Begrüßung Baguette mit rohem Schinken, Marmelade und einer Flasche guten Wein. Ebenso gab es Wasser und Kaffee für die ersten Tage. Das Haus liegt nur ca. 20 Meter vom Flüsschen Mourachonne entfernt, wodurch wir auch mit sehr vielen Stechmücken zu kämpfen hatten. Hier empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall während der heißen Jahreszeit ein Moskitonetz, das wir zum Glück dabei hatten. Die Lage nördlich von Cannes ist für die Besichtigung aller interessanten Ziele an der Cote d'Azur perfekt, die Autobahn ist nur 10 Autominuten entfernt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Oasis in a peach orchard.

A warm welcome awaits you from Irma and James to their amazing property. Our own river, orchard and a cosy and tastefully furnished cottage. A fantastic place to relax surrounded by peaceful aromatic gardens. Within easy reach of the coast and lots of places to visit, if you can drag yourself away from the pool tucked away in a quiet corner of the garden. Highly recommend a visit to and we would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Irma and James.

Wir (2 Erwachsene, ein 10 Monate altes Kind) waren zwei Wochen im Juni zu Gast in Mouans Sartoux. Das Cottage befindet sich auf einem parkähnlichen Anwesen, das von einem Flüsschen, der Mourachonne durchquert wird. Alles ist sehr liebevoll angelegt und sehr gepflegt. Neben dem Cottage befindet sich ein Pfirsichhain. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Zu unserer Überraschung waren Baguette, gesalzene Butter und Wein als Willkommensgruß bereitgestellt. Das Haus ist mit antiken Möbeln und Bildern sehr stimmig gestaltet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns schnell heimisch und nicht, als wären wir „nur“ in einem Ferienhaus. Für Freunde englischer Literatur gibt es ausreichend Bücher. Die Küche ist mit allem, was man zum Kochen braucht, ausgestattet. Es gibt neben einer Waschmaschine auch einen Trockner, was vor allem mit einem kleinen Kind sehr praktisch ist. Das WLAN funktioniert bestens, auch fernsehen ist damit kein Problem. Man kann morgens zum Frühstück hinter dem Haus in der Sonne sitzen und über die Pfirsichbäume schauen und abends auf der vor dem Haus liegenden großen Terrasse unter der Linde den Abend genießen – im Hintergrund das Rauschen der Mourachonne. Durchquert man den wunderschönen Garten der Vermieter, gelangt man zum großzügigen Pool mit Poolhaus. Wir konnten hier die Ruhe und Ungestörtheit genießen, waren immer allein am Pool. Insgesamt ist es ein Kleinod und Ort der Ruhe. Das Anwesen ist nur wenige Fahrminuten von Mouans Sartoux entfernt gelegen. Hier gibt es verschiedene Supermärkte (teilweise Sonntags geöffnet) und einen Biomarkt. Donnerstag ist Markttag, es wird aber hauptsächlich Kleidung angeboten. Aufgrund der sehr guten Verkehrsanbindung ist man schnell in Cannes sowie in Antibes, wo es auch Sandstrände gibt. Auch die Berge im Hinterland mit den vielen tollen Bergdörfern wie St. Paul de Vence oder Gourdon sind gut zu erreichen. Herzlichen Dank an die Gastgeber für die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft und dieses grüne Paradies der Ruhe und Erholung fernab der Hektik der Küstenstädte.

I am living on this established family estate which was purchased 1957 . This 16 century mill next to the shallow waters of the river La Mourachonne is situated on a 32 ha. park and farming estate and is incredibly well located to other villages and shopping , yet it is totally hidden away among hills and fields! The water gardens were recreated in 1957 and are well known as well as the rare trees. You will see me working in the gardens all the time!. I love to help where I can and I am always in a good mood no matter what !

Why they chose this property

Once the gate opens you will realise the enormous size of property surrounded by flowering trees, vast open fields and ancient water gardens.
You notice the peace, space and beauty of it when you climb out of your car!
You can enjoy quiet walks around the gardens and fields and meditate on your terrace! You hear birds all the time and watch butterflies dancing around the flowers!
You can travel within 15 minutes to Valbonne, Mougin Village, Mouans Sartoux , Cannes and Grasse for its perfume.
After a couple of days you have switched off and become totally relaxed. I am always there for advise or help if you want! I live in the main house which is across a bridge from the cottage and surrounded by gardens. I don't mind if you look at the waterfalls and ponds around the house! It is all open for you to enjoy! The running water of the river below the cottage puts you to sleep without doubt! you find that gardens with Pool and Cottage are maintained to highest Standard!

What makes this property unique

The land and set up is simply unique because it is so hidden and yet so close to shopping and Action!
You hear the sound of the river near your house as well the birds!
There are lots of candles, good soaps and towels- tea or coffee - actually everything you would like to have is there!
On your arrival you find a good bottle of wine - a superb french welcome!
