Stayed with our family for a wedding nearby and it was the perfect set-up. Kids loved the grassy backyard to run-around and throw the football. Had everything we needed and close enough to downtown Hayward to explore the city as well. Would highly recommend!
This is our second stay at the cabin. It's a wonderful place to stay with easy access to Hayward and all the local lakes.
Great clean place with tons of supplies for cooking.
We especially love it as a place to stay while visiting our kids at camp.
We enjoyed the spacious cabin. Had everything we needed and more. Conveniently located near snowmobile/ATV trails. Hosts were gracious and quick to respond to questions. Would stay here again.
The hosts were wonderful and the cabin was excellently appointed to be able to properly cook great meals. Everything in the kitchen you could need is there for use. Be mindful that this cabin sits on regulaly travelled road, so expect some quick road traffic
Just a gorgeous home. I loved the rustic feel of the wood floors and log walls. This home had everything you could possibly need and felt like we were actually home.
We booked the lodge as it was pet friendly and we were going up to Cable for a mountain bike race. The place was larger than expected and a lot of modern updates. Lots of character, photos and charm.
We would define consider staying again!
The lodge was the perfect base camp for my stay in the Northwoods. Very cozy. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Plenty of space to accommodate a group. Highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was out of the crowd in the city and there were a ton of little diners/cafes to go to. The cabin was loaded with all the essentials and very clean. Barb and Don were very responsive to any questions we had. And check in and out were easy! Thank you, Don and Barb!
Set in a national forest, this historic home has been beautifully modernized and provided us with a restful, quiet vacation close to nature. Don served as an attentive host and a guide to the hiking trails and the unique features of the area. We had a terrific North Woods experience!
We all came for a 4 wheeling trip and had a great time. The cabin is even more spacious than expected and incredibly charming. The trails went right off the back of the property making access to other trails very convenient. If you are bringing a large trailer, check with host in advance to ensure parking is open. It worked out great.
What a wonderful, warm, charming stay. The cottage is so much larger inside than anticipated. Rooms unfold as you walk through. Great location too. Had a cocktail at Ghost Lake Lodge across the street which is charming as well!
Thanks so much!
We came up to honor family who passed. This cabin was exactly the comfort we needed. It was clean, well furnished with touches of humor and life philosophy throughout. Very spacious yet very cozy too. Would book again in a second.
The house is gorgeous and incredibly spacious! The owners have done an amazing job of updating it while keeping its rustic charm. The beautiful hardwood floors, fireplace, modern kitchen, the stone tiled master shower…so many wonderful amenities. The house is spotless and the kitchen has everything you could need. I highly recommend staying there. You won’t want to leave the house.

This property was roomier than I anticipated and had all of the comforts of home. There is limited cell service but dish network TV and WiFi were available. The country decor added to the vacation attitude and cozy feeling. While we were surrounded by nature, this would be at a premium price point if it were waterfront in my opinion.
This is such a perfect log cabin to stay on for 3 couples. It is very unique and interesting. Everything was very clean. Everything we needed was there. They have a cool little ice machine that one of the guys found to be a fun little thing. Beds were comfortable and every couple had their own bathroom. Trails are close and lots of restaurants!
What an awesome place. I will say from the pictures we expected the inside to be smaller, this place is BIG on the inside. You cant always tell from the pictures but its big and spacious. Loved the living area with the fireplace, behind that is another sitting area thats really nice. Patio is great. Rooms were all very nice. There is one room close to the road thats noisier when large trucks go by but the other rooms are on the otherside and very quiet. It was exactly what we are looking for and we've already recommended to friends and family. On one of our nights a bear showed up outside the cabin checking out the hummingbird feeders so that was neat to see.
