October France vacation

The location is perfect: tucked away in a corner of an enclave of traditional provencal design which includes a hotel and spa. House is JUST outside the village center with its winding medieval streets and famous chateau.. Literally 5 minute path to the square. Bakery, butcher and bistro even closer. The house is quite large on a big piece of private secluded property with well maintained gardens. Chef's kitchen including Lacanche range, similar to La Cornue. Very well equipped with many ingredients and condiments on hand. Pool is great. Dany the manager was very friendly, as was the owner. And after visiting 11 other towns during our time here, we con cluded that Lourmarin is a perfect place to stay, for charm, what it offers, and as a base for ex ploring the region.
