The property was perfect for our group of 15 aged from 8 to 80. Plenty of room both inside and out and very clean and modern facilities. We spent most of the time in the excellent pool as the weather was so hot! Stephanie was a great host and answered any queries promptly. Would thoroughly recommend to any large groups wanting to spend a peaceful holiday in the French countryside!

Demeure idéalement située dans le val de Cher, à proximité de Cheverny, Amboise, Chenonceau ... Hébergement très confortable dans un cadre très agréable, très propices aux réunions familiales. Piscine très appréciable par temps de canicule ! Hôtes particulièrement présents et réactifs. Nous avons pleinement profité de ce séjour de retrouvailles familiales et recommandons cet hébergement.

We had a fabulous week at Bizard as a large family group ranging from 68 to 3 months plus a small dog. The house and barn together worked really well. It’s a beautiful house in the most lovely and peaceful setting. There is a huge number of things to do within easy driving distance and the zoo was a particular hit. But with the lovely pool and so much space it would be just as satisfying to stay put and enjoy being there. Some really good walking too and very well signed paths.What was particularly impressive is the level of equipment in the house, especially regarding cooking and eating. Having stayed in many different properties over the years it is not always the case, with insufficient cooking equipment for the number of people. There was literally nothing missing that we might have needed and two dishwashers too! Having bread and pastries delivered is a real bonus. The extremely hot and dry weather meant that using the bbq was not an option but the enormous plancha worked very well. We were able to eat outside every evening.Stephanie is a delightful and responsive host and nothing was too much trouble. We are already planning a return visit in 3 years time ( sadly not sooner!) for sundry significant birthday celebrations. Thank you, Stephanie, it was just perfect.

Excellent séjour dans une superbe demeure

Nous avons passé un superbe week-end en famille (13 adultes et 6 enfants en bas âge). La maison est splendide, en pleine nature, parfaitement équipée, avec de grandes chambres tout confort. Nous recommandons également les adresses données par notre hôte pour l'organisation des repas, Traiteur, Boulanger/Pâtissier,.. qui vous livrent à domicile et qui nous ont permis de passer un excellent séjour.

Maison Magnifique

Chaque aspect de ce Gîte était incroyable. Les chambres sont exceptionnelles et la propriété était très jolie. La maison est près de plusieurs petits villages et beaucoup de bons restaurants. La propriétaire était très aimable et sommes sommes passer des très bons moments la. J’ai envié de y rentrer tôt !

Propriété De standing dans un cadre remarquable

Notre séjour aux Orfeuilles nous a enchanté. La demeure était très spacieuse, aménagée avec goût et soin, avec en bonus une literie confortable (lits King size) et une cuisine avec des équipements de qualité. Stéphanie, très sympathique, a tout mis en oeuvre pour nous profitions au maximum du week-end, de par sa communication claire, et sa flexibilité. Un grand merci !

Ideal location for a large family holiday

This Gite entirely lived up to expectations. Two magnificent accommodation buildings with well equipped kitchens and living space surrounded by acres of grass and woods, with a good swimming pool. Isolated from others so noisy children were not a problem. Wonderful time playing rounders! Villages nearby were lovely and Montrichard was a super place for eating. River Cher provided canoeing under chateau of Chenanceau. Owners were welcoming, spoke English and very fair. Would gladly come again for another family celebration. Thanks Stephanie

Near Montrichard

Had a great stay, and would stay again. I would have liked the pool to have less bugs. Outdoor furniture could be a bit more comfortable. A few more amenities such as hand soap and more pillows would have made the stay more comfortable (we are Americans). David and Stephanie were both very nice and the take pride in the property.

très jolie demeure en pleine campagne ,au calme ,proche de beaucoup de châteaux ,de caves vinicole , de champignonnières , et autres curiosités , La Maison est très bien équipée en quantité et en qualité pour ce qui est des ustensiles de cuisine et appareils électroménagers. Nous étions 5 couples et nous aurions pu être bien plus sans se sentir à l’étroit. La propriétaire est très sympathique et très réactive .

Fantastic!

We had a such a wonderful stay at Bizard, it is hard to say what we loved best about it. The spaciousness and light of the main living floor was just superb and so well organized for any size group, large or small. The views out the windows from all positions to the expansive surroudning property, with the fields of green, the majestic trees, the impressive ruins nearby, and the towering sky, constantly drew the eye. Restful and yet energizing the same time. Cooking and socializing the open kitch and dining table was perfect, and the space flows so well from there to the large but intimate sitting areas. We loved the easy access at either end to the second story living quarters, one via the siganture tower, and the ground floor bedroom at the far end was extremely convenient for anyone needing ground floor accomodation. The upstairs bedrooms were all large and comfortable and the ensuites were updated and in pristine condition. Walking the vast property was a delight, and a great relaxation and a break fror those for working while on travel. So easy and quick access to the charming nearby villages, with great restaurants, shops, boulangeries/patisseries, fromagers, and so much more, several of them on the gorgeous Cher river. Blois is an easy drive and Tours a well, among other beautiful cities in the environs along the Loire and the Cher. And I can't foget the daily bakery delivery - really terrific and not just your average at all! We really cannot recommend the stay at Bizard too highly. Stephanie is a charming and friendly hostess, and her husband Mark is warm and friendly and there whenver needed. They have done a masterful job of rennovating a historic property into a extremely funcational modernized chateau, and the you get that feeling of a very friendly family property that happens to be avaiable with great privacy to those lucky guests who disover it in their travels. And an incredible value as a well, I have to add. It is a tremendous value for the travel or relocation expense. Overall for in a business relocation and as seasoned travelers, we have to say Bizard was absolutely oustanding for travel, touring, and doing business in the region. A peaceful, beautiful, and stimulating abode to base from while in the Loire et Cher!
