This home is beautiful! Spacious rooms, and when it was renovated, the charm of the original design was still there! We loved everything about it, and would love to stay there again someday!
This is an older home, older diverse neighborhood with smaller houses. You can see the limitations of the house and property, but the homeowner has done quite a lot to make it look and feel comfortable and to work around those issues. It's welcoming, quiet, and comfortable; and, while not overly spacious and filled with extra amenities, it was just right for our needs. There are plenty of kitchen appliances to make just about anything you want. A nice big covered patio to sit out back. Comfy living room. There are small things that could be done to make it just that more (comfy chair in bedroom, for one), but I don't consider them negatives.
The 'third' bedroom has just a twin size bed, but the down side is that you have to pass through this room to get to the 'master' bedroom (be careful of the step down).
I think the most noticeable was how clean and fresh the place was... I noticed it immediately upon arrival. I also love the sheets on the very comfy bed... sometimes those little things really make a difference. It's easy to look around and see all the little things the owner has done/added to make it special. I would definitely recommend the place, and would consider staying here again if our travels bring us back to the area.
Just be sure you don't mind sharing one bathroom.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you will visit us again and look forward to hosting you in the future.

Thank you for your review Xochilt.
We work very hard at keeping Navy Point Cottage clean and keeping that 5 star rating.
Navy Point Cottage is located by Bayou Grande with a boat launch .5 miles away, a small family beach located at the playground is .5 miles away and a 2.5 mile walking path along Bayou Grande. Main Beaches are about 20 - 35 minutes away from Navy Point.
With a short-term rental you are renting a personal HOME with a full kitchen, bedrooms, family room, front yard, backyard in a family neighborhood and all that a HOME as to offer. Yes, there are some check-out requests that need to be completed upon your departure as with all short-term rentals. Hotels are employed with full-time cleaners, maintenance workers, front desk clerks as all corporations would have and offer a different atmosphere than short-term rentals.
I am sorry your first experience with a short-term rental was not what you expected. I hope in the future you and family will give short-term rentals a second chance for more of a home away from experience. Thank you again SONIA
Cute cottage located in an old established neighborhood close to NAS main gate. Surrounded by a lovely bayou. Very quite, comfortable with the exception of a tiny bathroom to serve 5 adults. Trying to manage morning shower routines was a little challenging. Television on a ROKU system which was also a little troublesome.
Very clean, mostly comfortable. Good value for the price.
The neighborhood was quiet, the house was extremely clean. The price was fair for what was provided. The front bedroom stayed a bit hot, even with the AC running. The laundry is not connected to the main house; you must go outside to it. The main picture in the listing is not connected to the property at all. Still, it was a nice place to stay.

Thank you for your review. Yes, the laundryroom is located out of the back door into an add-on by the garage. The home was built in the 40's with a few add-on. The home has a nice flow to it from it's original 2 bd. 1 ba. Now a 3bd. 1ba. Garage and laundryroom added. With the home still on septic there is limited ground space to build on. Still, I'm happy you and family enjoyed your stay in Pensacola.
House exceeded our expectations. Clean and more spacious than the pictures I saw. The neighborhood is a mix of nice places and very run down places. The house and stores are on the lower income side of town. I would stay again but don't expect the Ritz and it will be fine.
We enjoyed our stay at the Navy Point Cottage. It was very clean and cozy. The Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The cottage was located right in the middle of where we needed to be for our stay between Pensacola and Perdido Key! Highly recommend!
Our stay at the Navy Point Cottage was fantastic! The property was clean and well organized. The beds were comfy. A short walk out the back door led to walking trail on the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to others.

Thank you for your kind words. So happy you enjoyed your stay. Visit again anytime.
Super cute, clean and well taken care of property. Loved how close it was to a amazing boat launch. Very quite and friendly neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Everything went well from start to finish. Cozy little cottage in nice neighborhood close to just about everything we needed, and far enough away from the tourist part of town. Appreciated the updated appliances and nice bedding. Only two minor issues: the lock on the bathroom door was a little tough to work, and the feature picture on the posting had me thinking that was a few from the property. It is not. Lake is 1/2 a block away and houses block any view of the lake.
Overall, we had a great time, in this cozy cottage and are hoping to go back in the fall.

Happy you and family had a great time. Come back again to visit us. Yes, Bayou Grande is about 100 yards from our back gate. Thank you for your review.
The home is beautiful clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed fishing, bike riding and walking on the beautiful trail. The Blue ANGELS practiced a few times and we had a front row seat on the spacious back porch. We enjoyed visiting nearby Historic Pensacola and eating at very lovely restaurants.
Our stay was wonderful the home was perfect.
The best part was that we were able to visit with our US Airman and celebrate his WINGING.
We had reached out a few times to Sonia and she was prompt in responding and extremely helpful.
This home was simply perfect.
