*Minimum Night Stay Requirements May Vary, Final Availability is Subject to Homeowner Approval*
Situated among the homes of Amangani, The Lookout brings a new meaning to the elevated lifestyle for those seeking an experience high above Jackson Hole. Guests to this marvelous villa experience the peak of mountain living in the Tetons. The impeccable design and generous living space are complimented by the equal measures of privacy and convenience found at this home’s location, with the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Jackson proper only being minutes away. The Lookout is certainly among the most spectacular vacation rental opportunities in the Tetons.
The signature drive along Spring Gulch Road brings guests to The Lookout. After a long and winding path up the Gros Ventre East Butte, the Homes at Amangani unfold among the landscape, seamlessly integrated among the hillside. The Lookout is among the first of the homes to emerge from sagebrush and pines. Upon arrival, log pillars with stone foundations frame the impeccable entranceway’s tile and hardwood paneling. These notable elements at the entrance are the motifs uniting the home’s impressive ambiance: stone, tile, and wood.
A quick turn to the right leads directly to the great room, which brings together the living area, dining area, and kitchen into dynamic open space. Signature to Amangani’s homes are the floor-to-ceiling windows, and The Lookout is no different. Natural light floods the room at all hours of the day, making overhead lights an afterthought during the daytime. The rich polish of the wood floors and ceilings never make this light overbearing or harsh, but instead mellow it toward a warm and toasty characteristic. The living area features sofas, chairs, and a coffee table surround a stone fireplace. Guests are certain to enjoy the living space any time of the year, whether it’s in the AC during a mountain summer or in the beauty of Jackson’s snowbound winters.
The kitchen and dining area make up the other half of the great room. These areas are united by black stone countertops and tabletops. The bold accent provides a wonderful contrast against the warmth of the natural light. A Wolf range and oven centers the kitchen, and other appliances are just in arm’s reach. Parallel to the substantial island sits the dining table, which seats eight. During the summer months, guests can enjoy the spacious wrap-around deck for their entertainment and dining pleasure. Seating abounds at every point of the deck. A gas grill makes outdoor cooking enjoyable, and the cuisine of the evening can be enjoyed at the eight-person, outdoor dining table.
Four bedrooms serve The Lookout. The sleeping accommodations of this home enjoy remarkable symmetry and accordance amongst themselves. Two bedrooms are found on the home’s upper level, and they are served by king beds. Both enjoy large walk-in closet and full en suite bathrooms. The warm, dark tile of the en suites compliments their walk-in showers, recessed tubs, and dual vanities. At the home’s lower level, a bedding configuration like the upstairs can be found, perhaps at a grander scale. The symmetrical rooms, outfitted with king beds, are served by walk-through closets leading to en suite bathrooms. Pleasant variations are found in these en suites, such as contrasting tile color and varied arrangement of the shower and bathtub.
The Lookout has many additional nooks and crannies worth exploring and enjoying. On the main level, an office is present for guests who might be enjoying a working vacation. The hot tub is found in the outdoor area next to the great room, opposite the main deck. Downstairs, a home theater room makes for incredible family movie nights. Not to mention, the immense marble hallway makes for a room in itself, as guests can enjoy the photography hung along its length.
