Seaside Inn is located on a sandy lane within 2 minutes walking from the beach. The location is awesome! We’re nestled in the jungle away from all the bustle of the beach but close enough to enjoy the restaurants, bars and activities West Bay has to offer.

We have a beautiful private pool! Our guests can lounge around our pool for a lazy vacation day or enjoy a nice evening cocktail after a hard day of playing on the island. Our pool is not open to the public – it is for Seaside Inn’s private use :).

A delicious breakfast will be served 6 days a week. We have a wonderful daily special gourmet choice, along with a second hearty choice of potatoes/eggs/ham or bacon/toast or a lighter option: yogurt parfait with homemade granola layered with non-fat vanilla yogurt, topped with fresh fruit. There are also “Grab & Go” choices such as bagel and cream cheese.

Unlike the mega resorts, we are a small private resort which provides our guests with a calm, quiet retreat away from the crowds. We cater to our guests and strive to provide a wonderful stay on this incredible island.

We have 5 rental units available at this time. The Gecko is a detached 1 bedroom bungalow with a full kitchen, living area, bedroom and bath - VRBO Listing #564852 and the Toucan and Macaw are studio suites - VRBO Listings #564850/564851 - each with kitchenettes and a private tiled bath. The Seahorse is a beautifully tiled studio suite with two XL twin pillow-top beds arranged as bunk beds. It has a smaller footprint than the other suites, with a kitchenette and a tiled bathroom with walk-in shower - VRBO listing #762493. All units have private entrances. This listing is for the Toucan Suite. The Toucan is a beautifully tiled studio suite; with a King pillow-top bed, a kitchenette and a beautiful tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. The kitchenette has a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, sink and refrigerator. It comes complete with dishware and utensils. Your studio suite has modern split, quiet air conditioning and a ceiling fan.

A large covered tiled balcony welcomes you as you exit the Toucan suite. This guest balcony offers seating along with hammocks and opens to the crystal clear pool. You have a view of the jungle where you’ll be watching the iguanas, birds and other wildlife.

Just so you know what to pack and what to buy at the local grocery store, each rental unit has:

• 2 beach towels

• local cell phone

• in-room safe

• hair dryer

• flashlight

• alarm clock

• blender, toaster, microwave, coffee maker

• basic supplies: toilet paper, coffee filters, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, salt & pepper

• 5-gallon bottle(s) of water

• full set of dishes & glasses plus assorted plastic tumblers and wine glasses for use by the pool

• pots and pans are provided in the Gecko Bungalow for the 2 burner stove-top

There is a washer and dryer for guest use (you can keep your luggage to a minimum :) conveniently located on the guest balcony along with a small freezer stocked with cubed ice. Our rates include cable TV (over 100 channels) and free WIFI. All towels and linens are provided. We also have an automatic standby generator to handle any power outage - so don't worry, your air conditioning will stay running all night, you'll always have hot water and feel the cool breeze of your ceiling fan!

Beacher's restaurant and Argentinian Grill provides our guests free beach lounge chairs! You never have to worry about trying to find a beach chair or paying for one to rent!

If you’re a diver, there are plenty of dive centers located on the beach at the end of our road. If you love to snorkel then you’ll be glad to know that Roatan is surrounded by a fantastic close-in reef just feet from the shore.

West Bay beach is stunning, crystal clear turquoise water with a white sandy beach. And it’s all just a short stroll from our property where there are many restaurants, bars and resorts offering activities such as para-sailing or deep sea fishing! At the nearby West Bay Mall, our guests enjoy the coffee shop and convenience market with delicatessen that also offers a take-out menu!

As you walk down to the beach, the public dock is conveniently located to your right where you can catch a water taxi to the tourist town of West End for more shopping, diving, and of course, more snorkeling! Island tours are available by water and land taxis to whisk you away for a day at the spa, zip lines, the Iguana Park, and much, much more!

Awesome location, very clean!

My husband and I were in the Toucan Room and my two sisters were in the Macaw Room. We could not have been more pleased! The rooms were very clean, we had hot water, the A/C kept us cool, we watched a day of cable TV while we were sick from something we ate elsewhere, and the outside patio was perfect for morning coffee. We loved the location as it was only a two minute walk to the beautiful beach. The beach chairs at Beachers were great - we spent a lot of time there. Carolyn was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Roatan again. We are so happy we found this perfect little spot - it made our vacation that much more awesome being in such a great location. Oh and we also did three dives with West Bay divers - if you are going diving - go with them - they were great.

Fantastic stay at the Seaside Inn

We had a fantastic stay at the Seaside Inn (Toucan Suite) at the end of March this year. The accommodations were everything we expected, and more! From the seating area with comfortable furniture and lovely hammocks to the private pool, it was perfect. It is a very well-kept and beautiful building with lush greenery. The location was perfect too, a very short walk down to the beach, shops, restaurants, yet away from all that when we just wanted to go back and relax or chill in the pool. The included breakfast each morning was delicious. Carolyn is a great cook, and Roy served it up right on time with a big smile (great guy!). They were both so helpful in suggesting places to go and things to do. During our stay we had an opportunity to check out some of the other places we had considered staying. it was easy to see that Seaside Inn was the perfect choice for us! We would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!

Great place near the beach.

We loved the unit, which included a small cooking area, so we could make 2 out of 3 meals a day. Nevertheless, there are great restaurants on the beach, just 2 minutes away and we had dinner out most nights. Carolyn is a lovely host and is very committed to improving the property. The house is in a jungle-like setting, green and would have been peaceful and quiet had we not been there during the above mentioned pool construction. Just unfortunate timing, which would have turned our "Good" rating into an "Excellent." West Bay beach is lovely, and we had amazing diving experiences (West Bay Divers - between the house and the beach). We would definitely go back to Seaside Inn.

We had a wonderful time in West Bay, Roatan and I have to say that staying at the Seaside Inn B&B was the best choice of the trip. Carolyn has thought of everything you could possibly need and more. Our nicely decorated suite was spotless, updated and and outfitted with everything you need. We loved having a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker (even though there is fresh coffee on the laini at 7 every morning) dishes, and the essentials like salt and pepper, towels and dish soap. There is also a common kitchen that has everything you need to prepare a nice dinner or lunch. An added plus is that there is a gas BBQ grill available. The bed was comfortable and she even had rugs on each side (something most places overlook). The internet in our room was great and it was nice having a television with stations in English and a large selections of dvd's to watch if you desire. The ac worked perfect as well as the ceiling fan. Another plus was the large walk-in closet with LOTS of hangers, a safe, and a broom in case you carry in sand after your room has been cleaned. You will find a freezer with ice and a washer and dryer in the laundry house. This is where you will find laundry soap, clean beach towels, books, dvd's and some lotions and shampoos for your use. Carolyn's helper Noel (sp?) did a wonderful job of cleaning our room daily and making sure we had water and clean towels-Carolyn provides beach towels and snorkeling equipment if you need it. The shared laini was beautiful and the perfect place to relax in a provided hammock or gather for cocktails and stories with the other guests. The pool was warm with nice lounge chairs and a seperate bathroom. The house is a short 5 min walk to the beach and all the restraunts. The snorkeling off the beach is fantastic and Carolyn will provide you with helpful information for all the other activities you may wish to do. We were here in March 2019 and are already planning our trip back in 2020. Carolyn, thank you for making our stay one of our best on Roatan. This was about our 9th trip to Roatan and your place was by far the best. I saved the best for last!!!! The breakfasts were better than any restaurant I have been to. Each day a delicious special is prepared or you can choose from a menu of 4 different yummy breakfasts.

Seaside Inn is truly a gem on West beach in Roatan. Carolyn and her staff work their magic to ensure your stay is memorable. The accommodations are great and their location close to the beach is a perfect mix of convenience and seclusion. The breakfast menu is varied and delicious. Coffee flows to more than satisfy your java cravings. This is definately a place to be seen and appreciated, we hope to return :-)

Carolyn’s beautiful Seaside Inn

What can we say about Carolyn! All the rave reviews she has received just aren’t good enough! What a top rate person you are Carolyn. We felt so welcomed and excited that we found the best place ever. Your place is so clean and private. We ate in almost every night of our two week stay, cause, why go anywhere else when we had the great kitchen and patio to relax and relish our great time in Roatan. Of course we have to give a shout out to Noel for being such a delight to have around. Every little thing was taken care of , getting a great rate on a rental car that came right to the inn to get dropped off and picked up again, taxis that we needed, a great catamaran cruise that Carolyn suggested, West Bay Divers could not have been a better dive company too. Absolutely Gorgeous!! Awesome vacation!

This is my fourth time to Roatan and my second time staying at Seaside Inn. I LOVE this place. My suite is immaculate - I love to enjoy the huge guest balcony (we even have a great place to hang out if it rains). The grounds are beautiful and it is peace and quiet. It's a short walk to the beach and our friends at Beacher's restaurant always have our lounge chairs waiting for us!! The pool here is also wonderful after a day in the salt water and sand, it is so refreshing to jump in the pool and have our evening cocktails - LOVE IT HERE!!!

Great Stay at Seaside Roatan

This is a real review. This was a fantastic place to stay on Roatan. Carolyn was a great host and the property was fantastic - clean comfortable and convenient to everything. We're divers and the pool was terrific after diving from West End Divers, right next door. The kitchenette and grill helped us save money, and Carolyn gave us pointers on everything. Carolyn's driver Corbin was an added bonus, taking us on an awesome tour around the island to places most tourists don't see (Machuka in Punta Gorda!!!) Wonderful week at Seaside Inn

The absolute best

My husband and I stayed in the Toucan at this amazing Seaside Inn for two weeks in February and wished we were still there. If you want a clean, quite, friendly place with the best hospitality ever then this is the place for you. Carolyn the owner is truly an amazing and caring person. Coffee is promtly served every morning and her breakfast are plentiful. I was a little nervous about who we would have to share the space with but was very pleased to see that most everybody that stay's at the Seaside are mature couples. We meat some wonderful people that we plan on staying in touch with. The place is just far enough from all the noise but close enough to the beach. The location is perfect. The island of Roatan does have some power outage but rest asure that at the Seaside Inn you will always have power as there is a backup that comes on immediately so no need to worry. If watching TV is important to you you will be pleased with all the chanel choices. Both my husband and I would stay there again and honestly had no issues whatsoever. The only problem was having to leave Carolyn and our friends. The bonus for me was that I made a friend with another vegan and we both live in the same province.

Very enjoyable, and value

My stay at the seaside inn was from jan 30 to feb 6, 2017. The host, carolyn was amazing. Very accomodating. My room was clean and comfortable. This is a b&b and the breakfasts were spectaular. Each morning guests chose their breakfast choices from a menu and request a service time for the next day. The breakfasts are served outdoors on the very large covered balcony. These meals were amazing. The staff was friendly and did a great job. The pool was clean and well maintained. This b&b is a short walk from the beach. There are great restaurants and bars on the beach. BEACHER's was my favourite. Great cocoanut shrimp. The size of small lobster tails. And a great dance party on saturday night with a local band. Bugs and mosquitos were a non issue. Drinking water is provided and the shower and sink water is from a cistern which everyone uses. This is slightly chlorinated for safety and is fine for teeth cleaning, etc. You are advised not to drink it and i didn't but had no problems at all. Everything is safe. A Piece of Paradise

This is a beautiful and comfortable B&B with attentive and friendly staff. The porch and the pool were both relaxing places to escape to when we needed to retreat from the heat of the beach. Carolyn's breakfasts are outstanding and served on that beautiful porch. Mornings were special dining in the gentle Caribbean breezes with other lovely guests. Evening dining options abound along West Bay beach which is a lovely stroll after a day in the warm sun. If you like to dive or snorkel, West Bay Divers is a great shop on the way to the beach. We can't wait to return and enjoy another great vacation!

Ideal West Bay Getaway!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in the Macaw Suite, and it was perfect! The room was perfectly appointed, and our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Carolyn arranged for her driver, George, to pick us up at the airport and to take us to buy groceries. He also showed us around and helped us find other activities that we would enjoy doing. We loved that the setting is very private and off the beaten path while still being close to the beach an restaurants. Carolyn is a wonderful host, and made us feel right at home and well cared for. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Roatan, without a doubt, this is where we will stay!

Great Place to Stay

We stayed for two weeks in April and had a wonderful time. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The location is a short walk to the beach. Really convenient and comfortable

Stayed a week in the Toucan Suite. The inn is really well planned for a beach vacation. Carolyn, the owner, has thought of pretty much everything. She provides a local cell phone with important numbers on it... she includes beach towels and basic cooking gear so you can sort coffee or breakfast on your own... there is cable TV and a DVD player and she even has a pretty good library of DVDs to borrow... There is ice, a fridge, a grill for cooking out on the deck...all very well planned. She has also arranged some great deals with Beachers (the local restaurant on the beach - free beach chair/umbrella), discounts at West Bay Dive Shop (a great bunch of people), etc. I had a wonderful time! Carolyn is a gracious hostess and a wonderful person to boot - i feel blessed to have made a new friend!

Had a great time!

We stayed in the Toucan Suite from May 2nd to 12th and enjoyed it very much. We had everything we needed and safety was never a concern. The Seaside Inn is lovely and well maintained - we especially loved the huge deck surrounded by trees, the beautiful pool, and the blender with enough oomph to whip up the occasional daiquiri. Carolyn is a gracious hostess who provided us with tips on what to do in Roatan, arranged a car rental, and a snorkeling and mangrove tour. We appreciated having access to the lounges at Beachers where we enjoyed many meals and many more Monkey La La’s. Staying here enabled us to get preferred rates at West Bay Divers who we found to be excellent.
