About this property

Historic Farmette - The Chicken Coop Inn

Built in 1862, this self-contained 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit attached to the main home is situated on 1.5 acres. Brimming with antiques, you will find all the comforts of home. A kitchenette is nicely appointed with cooking and serving essentials, refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker, cooktop and convection microwave. The bathroom is furnished with spa towels, locally sourced handcrafted soaps, and a hair dryer. A comfy bed with cozy linens complete your relaxing stay.

We offer wireless internet as well as a TV with a guest Netflix account. The unit is centrally heated and air conditioned with your own thermostat.

As a gateway to southeast Wisconsin, we are conveniently located 5.9 miles to Lake Geneva, 7.3 miles to Twin Lakes (Lake Mary and Lake Elizabeth) and 5.9 miles to historic Richmond, Illinois. And that is just the start!

There is an endless array of choices for everyone to enjoy, and if you have questions or would like some suggestions, we can help with that too.

The Vrbo and the hosts were very welcoming from the time that we pulled into the driveway the first day clear through to departing. I can't recommend this cute little retreat enough! I will definitely suggest this place to anyone I know traveling to the area.

We came to the Chicken Coop Inn for our anniversary. The hosts were exceptional with their communication. We were welcomed more than I can express. The Inn was super cute, the chickens were fun to watch, the hosts were amazing and there were numerous small touches that made us feel more like family than guests.

Charming and wonderful stay!

My best friend and I stayed here for a weekend of antique hunting and it was just perfect! It's one of those places that's so good you almost don't want to tell anyone about it to keep it for yourself, but Linda and Tom are so lovely and their property deserves a five star review. The inn is extremely clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Linda provided excellent local recommendations, that we thoroughly enjoyed. The location is perfect as it is set out in the beautiful country but so close to anything you may want to do. We are already planning on coming back!

We stayed here while visiting Lake Geneva, and it was a perfect place for a short getaway! It was a perfect size for two people, and the owners do a great job of introducing themselves and being available if guests need anything. We got some great scenic recommendations! Flea Market Weekend Stay

Their home is beautiful and the setting is very peaceful. Our accommodations were clean and had everything we needed, including muffins and fruit for breakfast. Our host and hostess were there to welcome us and even send us off in the morning at 6am!
