About this property

Gorgeous one-of-a-kind log cabin home in Wine Country

Unique and one of a kind handmade log home in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country! Halem House is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that was built by its owners over 30 years ago. It has all the modern updates and amenities for guests to enjoy. The property is on a quiet and secluded 10 acres and also features a boutique winery's vineyard. Enjoy the privacy of this special home while also being only a short drive away from some of the country's best wine and food.

Halem House is the perfect retreat for couples, large families or groups. This open concept log cabin features an enormous kitchen/dining room/living room with an automatic fed pellet stove.

The first floor features vaulted ceilings, three bedrooms, a renovated bathroom, and laundry.

The second floor consists of an office, a TV room, and a large master suite with a spa-like modern glass shower bathroom.

This home is an ideal cabin stay in the middle of wine country. As part of their stay, guests will receive a complimentary bottle of wine from grapes that were grown right on the property.

The home is kid friendly and can be set up with a crib, high chair, etc. Just let us know your needs.

The home features smart home technology with keyless entry. There is a large satellite TV to watch all your favorite shows.

Enjoy nature by walking through the one acre vineyard, selecting produce from the garden, or picking fruit off of the various apple and pear trees (seasonal). There is also a fire pit to gather around and make s'mores or just enjoy the fresh Oregon air. Furthermore, as the property is located on 10 acres in the forest, you can take advantage of nature hikes. Or, adventure off the property and take a stroll down the gravel road that leads to the home.

Although the home is attractive to wine country visitors, it is centrally located to other Oregon destinations. The Oregon Coast is about an hour and a half west of the property. Mt. Hood is just under two hours east. Portland is a short 45 minute drive. The Columbia River Gorge is just over an hour away. You have plenty of options!

Memory Filled Wonderful Winter Getaway

Fantastic winter getaway! We had so much fun making family memories at this great cabin; playing in the snow, cooking delicious meals and taking walks through the woods. The kitchen is stocked with everything (I mean EVERYTHING) one needs for cooking anything. The smoker was perfect for the Christmas turkey and New Year’s Eve ribs. The home is both cozy and spacious. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms really well appointed and plenty of linens. More than enough space for all of our family. The woods were a beautiful winter wonderland. And the pellet stove kept us warm and cozy through the cold nights. The house is far enough outside of town for privacy and quiet, but close enough to run to town for supplies or meals. Hosts were amazing, easy to get a hold of and very helpful. Don’t wait another minute, book this beautiful cabin!

I was born and raised in Newberg, Oregon but have been living in Miami, Florida for the past 15 years. I recently returned to the area to plant a vineyard, start a wine brand and turn my childhood home into an AirBnB.

Why they chose this property

This is a special, family owned property that is open for the first time ever to guests. In addition to staying in this cozy log home, you can also access the boutique vineyard on the property.
