Best house ever!

We've been staying oceanfront for almost 30 years, and this is the best house and location we've ever had! The decor was lovely coastal, the views were beautiful, and the house was spotless! We hope to keep coming back!

We have been coming to EI for 12 years and have always rented from a large real estate company. This experience was much more personal, the accommodations were well appointed, communication with the owners was easy and replies were prompt. We loved the location and really couldn’t criticize anything about the house! We would love to return next year!

Spring Getaway

We had another amazing stay at Dunecliff East. The owners do an amazing job of updating the house each year with new design features and plenty of functional updates, too! They really think of everything. They're responsive to our questions and suggestions and really make us feel at home. We enjoyed our relaxing stay and can't wait to return!

This place was amazing and perfect for our family beach vacation. The layout was perfect with one bedroom on the main floor, and 3 on the second floor and the top floor was perfect for a family of 4. Beds and pillows were very comfy. Bath towels were thick and so nice. Kitchen was the best stocked VRBO kitchen we’ve ever had, they have thought of everything. Nice pantry to keep your food items organized. Beautiful view of the ocean from all the windows, and loved sitting on the outside furniture with a nice awning for shade. They also had 8 beach chairs and a sun shade for us to use, that was so handy. We truly had such a nice vacation renting this home. Great location just minutes from the major grocery stores and restaurants. Would totally recommend.

Perfect Ocean Front Home!

We had a wonderful time at Scott & Christy's home - it had everything we needed and the home was in great shape. The views were stunning and the location was super close to everything. It was also nice that they had a lot of kitchen utensils, comfy beds & TVs in every room!

Great place to stay

Best beach house we’ve ever rented! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches, like being welcomed by wine, chocolate, and toilet paper. We spent lots of time on the deck watching the ocean. Location was great. The house had everything we needed - we’ll be back!

Spectacular Views

The house is amazing, situated right on the beach with excellent views! Owners were easy to reach and very helpful. Bonus there is an awning on the back deck which is perfect for those of us who can’t take a full day in the sun!

Great Emerald Isle house

We have stayed in many homes in EI. This was among the best. It is in a great location , comfortably furnished, and with all the amenities you could ask for. Communication with the owner was great.

We have been to Emerald Isle on three separate occasions and thought this house just surpassed all the others. From the moment you walk into Christy and Scott's vacation rental you feel at home. The house was beautifully decorated and had every amenity you could think of. The kitchen was well stocked , which was very nice because we cooked most nights of our vacation. The dining table was large enough to comfortably fit our group of 8. The layout of the house was perfect for our family. Having the upstairs loft area worked out perfectly for our teens. I was concerned about this property being a duplex, but it felt very private. It was nice to be close to the grocery store, restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend this property. Great vacation

This property was amazing!!! The house was perfect for our family and the views were incredible. The house was well equipped with everything we needed… stocked kitchen, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. Christy communicated throughout the process to make sure our stay was great. Summer Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time at Dunecliff East. The house was well suited four our vacation with 5 adults and 2 small children. Scott and Christy were fantastic hosts and responded very quickly to two (very) minor issues that occurred during our stay. If you're looking for an oceanfront home for a family getaway, you don't need to look any further.

One of Emerald Isle's best beach houses!

We had nine in our group, including four 70+ year olds, three 30/40 year olds and two younger folks, 14 and 19. It was the perfect place for our group, plenty of bedrooms and baths, well stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies and paper products, lots of beach chairs and sand toys, propane grill -- we couldn't have asked for more. The hosts communicated frequently and were most cooperative and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Amazing Beach House

My family and I could not have been happier with our stay at Emerald Isle. This house was perfect. Exactly as advertised. Lots of amenities and right on the beach. The host contacted us several times prior to our trip. And gave us several great recommendations. I highly recommend staying at this property. I would definitely book again. The location is perfect.

Best place we’ve stayed in EI!

This house was wonderful - the decor, the amenities, the location - it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed, and we’ve been renting in EI for almost 20 years! Owners were so easy to communicate with, and house had so many thoughtful touches! We had all ages at the house, and plenty of space for everyone! The kids/teens loved having the 3rd floor to themselves! Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Beach House

We have found our new favorite beach house! They have thought of everything and the added extras and well supplied kitchen made our stay one of the best. Beds were all comfy and bed linens were not scratchy. Some of the bath towels were a little worn but there were plenty of fluffy ones mixed in. Supplying beach chairs was a special treat. We will bring some grilling tools next time and leave the chairs at home. How wonderful to have the coveted beach tent tag too. Hoping to be in the same house next year for our annual trip to one of our favorite places!

We are a family of five, with three boys in NC colleges: East Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, and UNC-Charlotte. We've lived in Raleigh, NC, for 18 years and are originally from Ohio. Scott works as a software account executive and Christy as marketing and communication director for an area nonprofit.
