Casa Macrina A is a cheerful apartment in a quiet position, situated at a short distance from the Cathedral of Amalfi. It sleeps three people. From Casa Macrina A you will enjoy a pleasant view of Valle delle Ferriere (Ferriere valley) and of Amalfi. Casa Macrina A is 40 square meters (430 square feet). It features a small private terrace, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the center of Amalfi, a few steps from restaurants, shops and the tourist port. You will find the Piazza Flavio Gioia bus terminal and the beach at roughly 700 meters (770 yards).
Casa Macrina A is located on the first floor of an ancient convent. You will reach it from the street level going up approximately 105 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Macrina A. If you do have one, you will be able to park it for a fee, in a private parking lot. Private parking must be reserved ahead of time; we kindly ask you to let our staff know, so that we can make the necessary arrangements for you. Casa Macrina is located in the center of Amalfi in an ancient monastery, built in the XI century, where other locals live. Throughout the years the monastery's cells have been converted into nice apartments. Duomo Square, where Saint Andrew's Cathedral is located, is only 600 meters  (650 yards) away, and you can easily reach it by a pleasant walk through the historic center of Amalfi.

 Terrace
The terrace is 4 square meters (43 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a nice view of Valle delle Ferriere (Ferriere valley) and of Amalfi.
Living Room
The living room is paved with lucid sky-blue majolica tiles. The ceiling is vaulted. The furnishings are simple and comfortable, and include a divan bed for one guest. In this room an additional single trundle bed is available (if requested in advance with an additional cost -- please enquire with our staff) to make it a double room. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a three-burner gas cooker, a small refrigerator without freezer, a microwave oven and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table has an oval shape, and can accommodate two guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). The room has two double-glazed windows with a view of the surrounding houses. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom
You will be able to enter the bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a wrought iron matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include a desk. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a double-glazed French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is tiled with lucid blue majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a large shower and a hairdryer. Here you will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. The bathroom has a double-glazed small window with a view of the surrounding houses. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.
