Adorable 1B/1Ba Steps to the Prom/Beach. Simply cute as a bugs ear, this darling cottage has a living room with flat screen TV, WiFi, Queen in the bedroom and Sofa Bed in living room. Kitchen includes dishwasher, gas range, microwave, and all cookware, glasses, dishes, etc. Bathroom has tub/shower combo, and bedroom has a flat screen TV. Bedroom has sliders to a private deck, which then opens up to the grassy back yard. The other unit (A) will be vacant during your stay at all times, so it's completely private for you! Just steps to the Promenade and Beach Access/View, not to mention Restaurant in the Best Western Hotel at the end of the street, you'll have access to restaurant/bar within steps, or stroll down just 4 blocks on the Prom to take in the famous Turnaround, many more restaurants and shops, the Arcade, Times Theater and Movie House. Just OK For Price

Pros: the location was nice and very close to the beach. Having dedicated parking and easy to use thermostat was great. Also having smart tvs is a good perk. Back yard area was nice and washer and dryer were very nice to have. Cons: Bathroom was poorly lit, no fan that appears to have caused a sagged ceiling, only one washcloth but four towels, and there was hair on the floor next to the vent. The claw foot tub really should be mentioned though because some people would have a very hard time getting in and out (mentioned in other reviews). The bedroom steps are pretty hazardous, mostly the smaller top one. The bed was very uncomfortable and made a lot of noise. The door to the laundry doesn't even fit right and was hard to close even most of the way. Check out requiring starting laundry is pretty unconventional.

Great place for a little family

We loved how close it was to the beach itself! The downtown seaside activities were easy to access and kept us busy and entertained. The only thing that was a little difficult was the lack of cookware. No mixing bowls, no lids for the pots and no baking dishes. But that was minor and not a super inconvenience. We were able to enjoy a nice quiet get away just like we needed!

Quiet, clean, cute

It's a lovely little house. The couch turned into a bed and was comfortable. It had a relaxing back porch. There were fewer pans and supplies than usual in a house like this, but it was acceptable.

One Hiccup, but Quickly Rectified

Our stay at this property started on a Sunday evening. We were very pleased with the location and amenities. However, Monday morning we were awakened at 8am by all sorts of construction equipment grading the property mere feet from the east side of the house. And, as if that weren't sufficiently annoying, the house to the west was being re-sided (hammer-time!) We called the folks at BeachHouse Vacation Rentals. They sent a very nice lady to the house that afternoon who told us they had no idea this was going to occur. Fortunately the grading did NOT continue during the rest of our stay, and the folks at BVR offered us a reduction in the price, which we really appreciated. A very professional company... highly recommended.

Wonderful little home

We absolutely loved our time at this home. It is so close to the beach it’s amazing. The home had everything we needed. Checking in was a breeze. Communication was excellent. Directions to the home were perfect. The kitchen was outfitted with all we needed. The shower was excellent with great power. The bed was comfortable and the windows allowed nice breezes. When we come back to seaside we’ll definitely stay again. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

Lovely with exception

This unit is great! I loved the back yard, the patio, lights, and the beach wagon with chairs and fire wood. The bathroom was good, except trying to figure out the shower, but eventually I dialed it in. PLEASE, get rid of the ants all over the counter. It took two nights for me to figure out that NOTHING could be left out on counter or in the sink. Not even the coffee creamer with lid on, ants got in my creamer. I’m easy going but ants are gross. The unit has traps around but maybe not enough. The beds were good, but a sheet and light weight spread were not adequate…we were cold the first night…my teen son was on the couch and only had a blanket, maybe add more blankets to the unit! Otherwise, this place was just perfect.

This is our second stay at this property. It has all the basics plus a backyard. You can’t beat the location for ease of beach access. Definitely, take advantage of the beach cart and beach chairs.

OK Stay

Great location and easy access. The home is cute itself. But as far as cleaniness it wasn't that great. We had ants in the kitchen the second day there. The floor was dirty, someone's hair on the floor in the bedroom by slider door, steps down to bedroom are not that safe, especially if you were elderly with the way they drop down. The sofa is dirty looking and not comfortable to sit on. The bathroom is janky, the tub is so high it's hard to step over and I'm not short, the faucets for shower and the shower head are crappy. You turn the shower on and water sprays from the shower head. And you don't have enough hot water to take a shower or for anyone else either. They have to wait for water to heat again as the water tank is small. You charge a cleaning fee, but it's not that clean and to have people start laundry before leaving and garbage taken out, there shouldn't be the high price of cleaning. For the price that's charged to stay, it really does need some updating and fix some things. For the price charged, I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here at this point. We've stayed at other VRBO's and have enjoyed them.

Mostly positive experience for family with toddler

My partner, toddler and I stayed here for 2 nights. Overall, it was good for our family. It is in a great location, just a few minutes walking distance from the beach and by some great restaurants. The couch and bed were comfortable and we liked having a TV in the room. Our only issues were with the cleanliness and the bathroom/hot water. There is no fan in the bathroom, only one washcloth we could find and the hot water lasts only about 5 minutes, which is inconvenient for a family especially if you’re getting back from the beach. There was a safety concern when we found some sort of pill/medication on the floor of the bedroom, where our toddler could’ve gotten ahold of it.

Birthday Weekend

This was our 2nd time staying at this property but this time around it was just my best friend and I. We celebrated my birthday as well as a moms weekend! Staying here previously was just perfect for what we wanted so I knew we had to book the location again. Accessing the house was a nice upgrade! And everything is super close by within walking range to downtown. Nothing could have made this big girl sleepover better. It was wonderful!

A lot of potential, but comes up short in some palces.

The property itself is okay, the couch is uncomfortable, the bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom with the claw tub had no fan, a very loose toilet seat, a unseen sudden stepdown and is border line unfunctional. There was no "private deck" with gate as pictured. The check out procedure was quite odd with such things as starting laundry for all the bedding and towels (which the door to laundry in the bedroom was utterly destroyed), starting the dishwasher and emptying all the trash cans and taking them to an outside receptacle implying that not doing so may result in extra fees... We had called to inquire about early check in as we arrived in town and were met with an extremely dismissive lady who made it seem like we were asking too much (it is an option to call if you do come in early, not sure why you would have it as an option for the check in procedure and then be rude when people call you about it) she also told us they were still working on the room and that she would call and let us know when it was done, which she never did, we had even drove passed the house prior to inquiring and no one was there. The decorations were fitting and well done, the TVs were a good touch and did have Netflix signed in and ready to go as well as board games which was good for mornings and nights between beach going and activities, the house itself is in a good location and is close to all the going-ons of downtown. We would not be staying here again. The place has potential but unfortunately was not a pleasant stay for us.

Cozy beach house

We are from Phoenix, so this beach house was the perfect getaway for us to enjoy cooler temperatures, greenery and water. The house is close to all the attractions, within walking distance to the beach and downtown eateries. The property is a duplex, but the owners graciously leave the property so that tenants can have exclusive use of the driveway and back yard.

Enjoyed the rental very much. Close to the beach and quiet.

Easy to rent and we were allowed to check in before 4, which we appreciated very much. It would be a good thing if you mention something about the claw foot tub. While very quaint, it is very tall and sloped in the middle. If you rent to anyone much older or more debilitated, the tub is a fall hazard. I felt like I'd best not move around in there too much as I felt unstable. Difficult to reach soap and feet without moving. A walk in shower could be installed and it would be much safer for your guests. For longer stays, pots and pans would be helpful. Loved the patio and garden! We sat out there a few times. Closet is not functional with the wall for the hot water tank in the way. You have to be pretty thin to get in there. Trimming the doors down would be helpful. Loved the walls and decor. All in all with a couple problem areas, it was a good little rental.

It was great staying there. Except the shower the hot water only last 5 mins. So if there are two people. One takes a shower, for 5mins the other has to shower in cold water. Other than that our stay was good. Location to the town and board walk is great. Thank you.

Perfectly Accomodating

We were very pleased with the whole process from booking to accessing. Very happy about the location, being able to walk to the shops and beach easily, was such a nice treat. Clean and cozy, with really cute decorations. We'll stay again for sure!
