Really an oasis inside. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Great to have microwave, refrigerator, laundry. Comfortable temperature, ceiling fans, AC units. Wonderful!!!
The space was perfect for my weeklong work trip in DC. I had a car which was useful - though there is a metro stop about a 10 minute walk away. Communication with the host was stellar -- I (very stupidly!) locked myself out one night and the host was very prompt to reply.
We were visiting DC for 3 days. This was fine for our family, the boys slept on the couch/futon but older children/adults may find this uncomfortable. Amenities were fine for how long we were there. Bedroom is up a steep set of stairs so if that’s an issue I would not stay here. The metro nearby was closed for renovations but we drove to the capital heights station and parked there all day for $5 and rode the metro around town.
We never received the key code on the day of our check-in so we had to call, and they informed us that the property was not ready. They were very responsive and put us in the other property on site for the first night. Everyone was very pleasant and responsive and both properties were great but ultimately it was very inconvenient that it wasn’t ready and we had to move after the first night.

Not for elderly nor people with knee/mobility problems.
Definitely had great communication with the host. He sent someone over with clean sheets and more towels. The sheets were stained and looked as they had not been washed.
The steps to the bedroom are extremely steep and the beautiful decor on the steps that attracted me to the place were no longer part of the home. Also the bars to hold on to climb stairs were loose and seemed scary to climb up down to bedroom. I limited my trips upstairs to sleeping and showering as did the other guests. Even my children found it hard to climb up and down. Also just simple lack of attention to detail. There was 4 guests and only one and half rolls of toilet paper. Also there was only like 4 large towels and we were staying for 3 nights. The neighborhood as well is definitely not a place to walk around.
The transportation system to where all the monuments and such are was better with Uber especially if you have children and definitely would not travel at night without Uber. Also the guests or renters were in home and they were partying and very loud and it was on a Thursday night. The owner apologized and spoke to them but this was odd to have to share a space which included the backyard. In fact there was a sign that stated something about he chairs that should not be used. This made me feel uncomfortable and so I never even used the backyard because there were times someone was out there.
Overall it would be a good place for adult couple but not really for families with small children.
Decided on friday to spend a couple days in DC with family. The house is super cute, very clean and the beds were comfy. Everything we needed was there for a nice stay. The host got back to me with any questions within minutes and they are very nice. I loved my stay here.
I have never been to DC so I know nothing about neighborhoods and this one can be a little scary. When I went to Safeway to pick up some breakfast the windows on the cvs right next door to Safeway were boarded up. It actually reminded me a few places in NYC.
The neighborhood I stay in doesn't matter to me as much how the host interacts with with me. I would definitely stay with them again. The host made the experience very nice.
This is a great option to book with the home. Climate control is in the main home and that can be a pain. Also, the incline on the stairs is very very high. Older folks should not use the guest home. The stairs are pretty intimidating. Aside from that, perfect stay. I appreciate the property managers for their communication.

Stayed for DC sights
The property is very clean, probably not totally recommended for real old people because of the stairs. Needed dish towels for the kitchen. Need a shower caddy of some type to put your products while taking a shower. Convenient to downtown and convenient for loading and unloading.
My two friends and I stayed here over the long weekend. Nhu was very helpful and responsive to and and all requests. The one main issue we had was with the temperature in the unit. The main house has access to the thermostat, but the guest house does not, meaning the guests in the guests house are completely at the mercy of the guests in the main house. For us, the downstairs was always cold (even with the space heater on) and the upstairs was incredibly warm. We closed the vents, opened the windows, etc, but didn't get to a stable temperature where everyone was comfortable- we were either sweating or freezing.
Otherwise, the place was clean. I would recommend you to bring your own body wash as the shower is only stocked with shampoo and conditioner. I would also recommend to the property manager that having the guest house guests take out the trash and put it on the curb is a little much to ask. If you have cleaners come anyway, I would say have them deal with the trash because it felt like we were encroaching on the main house guests when we went to the trash cans on the side of the house.
The place was very clean and comfy and beautiful and the owners obviously put in a lot of thought and time into designing the place and it shows. Very excellent, highly recommend!
