More than a normal holiday

Hello Leo, Thank You very much for very nice stay at Your holiday home. All as announced on Your homepage we found in the house. The environment was very calm and we enjoyed the whole time. Rustige vakantie

Zeer mooie woning en rustig gelegen . Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig . Goede ligging voor uitstappen en naar het strand te gaan.

Das Haus ist prima und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gibt einen schönen Fußweg zum Strand, der auch mit Bollerwagen oder Kinderwagen zu meistern ist.

Bonne location

Location très bien située, au calme est à moin de 2km à pied de la plage la maison et très bien équipée,la cheminée est bien agréable en se début de saison froide, le seul point noir serait le stationnement, il est très compliqué d'avoir une place dans se petit quartier.

Schön mit ein paar Mängeln

Die Doppelhaushälfte liegt ruhig und idyllisch in einem Ensemble ähnlicher Häuser am Ende einer Sackgasse. Zum Strand ist man zu Fuß durch ein kleines Wäldchen in 5 Minuten. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Die Einteilung der Räume ist gut gelungen. Unten ist Küche und Wohn-/Esszimmer, oben drei Schlafzimmer, ein WC und ein Bad. Alles sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses ist zweckmäßig und sehr gut. Von Streichhölzern bis zum Gußeisenbräter ist wirklich alles da. Wir haben einzig einen Wasserkocher vermisst, aber der Gasherd war ein recht guter Ersatz. Nicht zufrieden waren wir mit dem Zustand der Terrasse. Die Fließen müssten dringend erneuert werden. Auch innen gibt es einige etwas gammelige Ecken und ein neuer Staubsauger wäre auch kein Luxus. Die Schubladen in der Küche waren innen nur bedingt sauber. Die Türen im EG klemmen alle, was auf Dauer etwas nervt. Was uns aber wirklich gestört hat, war ein kohlartiger, sehr unangenehmer Geruch, der sich vom Flur aus im EG verbreitet hat. Er stammt, so unsere Vermutung, von den Rohren, die im Wandschrank im Flur aus dem Boden kommen. Wir haben deshalb oft, wenn wir nicht außer Haus waren, die Haustüre offen gelassen, was aber eigentlich keine Lösung ist. Hier besteht wirklich dringender Handlungsbedarf, was wir dem sehr netten und gut erreichbaren Vermieter auch bereits mitgeteilt haben. Als Fazit kann man sagen: An sich schönes Domizil mit ein paar Mängeln.

Erholsamer Urlaub, mit Abstrichen!

An sich ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus. Tolle Lage! die Straßenbahn ist sehr gut zu erreichen, mit dieser kann man überall sehr schnell und bequem hinkommen. Der Strand ist ca. 1 km entfernt und gut erreichen. Beim Ferienhaus selbst sollte man nicht in die Ecken schauen. Der Außenbereich hat wirklich eine Sanierung und Pflege nötig ( Fliesen auf der Terrasse gebrochen, die Gartenhütte hat auch die besten Zeiten hinter sich .............) Das Parkett im Obergeschoß wölbt sich aufgrund eines Wasserschadens in der Toilette, dadurch lässt sich die WC Tür nur schwer schließen. Die Sockelleisten fallen von den Wänden, auch hier sollte dringend eine Sanierung erfolgen. Ansonsten ist das ein schönes Haus mit guter Ausstattung , die Küche ist komplett eingerichtet, schöne geschmackvolle Einrichtung mit allem was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt. Alles in allem haben wir in diesem Haus einen schönen Urlaub verbracht.

We are taking care of this, but you suffered indeed from a temporary solution, my apologies. Some children destroyed the terras, we planned to repair it after the summer season. It is a nice home and want to keep it that way, we will do everything possible to have it in a perfect shape.

Buena opción

Hemos estado una semana. Muy cerca de la playa en un sitio muy tranquilo y cerca de Brujas.La casa esta completamente equipada en general, sobre todo la cocina con todo tipo de condimentos y demás que siempre son útiles. Por poner una pega, es el suelo del cuarto de baño, el cual esta levantado posiblemente por un antiguo escape de agua. Yo la recomiendo. Calidad-precio muy bueno.

Super Lage, ruhig und sauber

Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und mehr...die Lage ist super,zu Fuss zum Strand und in nur 25 min in Brügge...wir haben beides super kombiniert...es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung..wir(2 Erwachsene und 2 kleine Kinder) haben uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt...DANKE

Schöne Lage,ruhig. Familienfreundlich. Sportmöglichkeiten

Wir hatten 3 Nächte über Ostern mit 6 Personen gebucht. Das Haus ist gemütlich und schön gelegen. Die Heizung war zu schwach und leider nicht genug Kaminholz vorhanden. Wir bemägelten auch eine verstopfte Dusche. Das WC etwas zu klein für grosse Menschen wie wir. Die Betten waren sehr gut! Sehr gut geschlafen. Mangelhaft war leider die Küche. Geschirr unrein, Küchengeräte ungepflegt und teilw. Defekt. Mich hat es auch gestört das angebr. Konserven im Kühlschrank standen. Ein Küchenschrank mit Aufkleber "private, do not touch"? - nicht normal ! Wenn, dann wegsperren. Es fehlten auch die Gebrauchsanweisungen für die Elektrogeräte und Digital TV. Elektrokabel und Verlängerungen nicht Kindersicher. Aussenbereich akzeptabel. Sonnenschirm leider kaputt.Wir bedauern auch daß keine Bestandsaufnahme mit Einweisung weder bei der Ankunft /Abfahrt . Zusammengefaßt: ein schönes Feriendomizil mit Schönheitsfehlern! Es wäre schade, wenn das Domizil vernachlässigt wird, und die "Mängel" größer würden.

Schönes Haus für unsere Familie. :-)

Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende in diesem schönen Haus verbracht. Das Haus befindet sich in ruhiger Lage, fußläufig vom Strand.Das Haus ist hell und freundlich.. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist perfekt inkl. Spülmaschine. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Very nice house in a calm and relaxing area

Very nice house in an ideal location near de Haan. The house is in a nice rustic environment, but the beach is still within walking distance. All equipment you might need is available. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We especially enjoyed the nice terrace and barbecue. We visited in the summer but also believe this house would be very nice in the winter with the lovely living room and fireplace. Leo is a very welcoming and responsive host. We will definitely come back!

Ein schöner Familienurlaub

Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen und beinhaltet alle Dinge, die man im Alltag benötigt. Lebensmittelgeschäfte sind kurzfristig mit dem Auto erreichbar. Der Strand ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Lediglich der Außenbereich des Hauses könnte mal wieder überholt werden.

Ein schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Wir haben das Haus als 5-köpfige Familie mit 3 Kindern gemietet und haben uns da sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles da, was wichtig ist. Die Küche ist komplett eingerichtet, Geschirr, Geräte - alles vorhanden. Der Garten ist klein, aber ruhig. Das Haus ist in einer Sackgasse mit lauter kleinen Häuschen. Alles wirkt sehr gemütlich und einladend. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie "Aldi", "Delhaize" oder "Smatch" für das Tägliche in De Haan vorhanden, mit dem Auto ca. 5 Minuten erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist unkompliziert, haben ihn nicht mal persönlich getroffen, der Zugangscode für den Eingang kam per Mail. Klare Weiterempfehlung von uns!

Nice cozy home near a mostly vacant beach

We (4 friends in their mid-twenties) went there for the pentecost break and had a lovely time. Equipment for kitchen, garden and fireplace was plenty, the bedrooms were nice and the living room was very comfortable. We spent our mornings in the garden and most of the days at the beach. The beach is only 10 min walking distance away (~ 800 m, though you have to cross the N34 twice => not recommended to let the kids walk alone) and it is way less crowded than in de Haan itself (not even going to speak of Ostende). If you are lucky you can have the entire beach for yourself :) Other than that Bruges is only a 25 min drive and definetely worth a visit, weither you are interested in belgian cuisine, old hanseatic buildings or just want to have a decent belgian beer. We enjoyed our holidays very much so thanks to Leo for letting us stay in his lovely home.

We had a wonderful week in this very comfortable and spacious house. The location was great for exploring both the coast and further inland and the house was equipped with everything you could need and more!
