Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we weren’t disappointed. It’s in a quiet location but not too far from anything. Only 10 min from the West Glacier entrance and not far from Hungry Horse. Walking distance to a restaurant nearby. It was the perfect cozy cabin for us, and the host is great as well. Any problems and he’s on it to fix it. This was our first visit to Montana and it was a great impression! We stayed in November and it was just the perfect little place to cozy up in and enjoy the hot tub right out back with the tv and relax!

Rustic, Cozy, lived-in-feel

Property is located close to Glacier National Park. Amazing communication with host, very responsive. Arrived early while the cleaning crew was still cleaning and they were also very friendly and allowed us to leave our groceries and bags at the cabin. Met Greg, the host, when we arrived (seems he stays in the RV in front of the cabin). Right off the hwy, easy to find with directions from host. Comfortable stay for two. Hot tub was nice, great little patio area with tall fence.

Rustic.

Location is great for access to Glacier, about a 20 min drive. Back deck was nice but the furniture is faded and tired. There is a metal cabinet on the deck, that is filled with dirty junk. It needs to be removed or cleaned up. The gas grill was great. The sliding patio door needs to be replaced. We were able to easily access the deck from the bedroom door. Ad says sleeps 4 but the guest sleeping on the sofa said it really wasn't amenable for sleeping and felt broken down. The cabin seems more like a bachelor pad. It needs to be decluttered and needs a deep clean. A really deep clean. VRBO you can do better than this. The host did respond quickly to any concerns we expressed while there and we did appreciate it.

Not for me

The directions for the property said to turn off at mile marker xxx which was correct. The next direction was to pull in to the left of the bar/restraunt. Well, there are two bar/restaurants at this mile marker and we picked the wrong one at first. The bar owner came out an talked with us and he said the VRBO was rented out for another day yet. Well, turns out both bar/restaurants have a VRBO. After some head scratching, we were directed to the correct property. The property was as described, was well furnished and had a wonderful back deck with a hot tub and deck. My wife and I did not care for the location next to two bars and along a busy highway. If that is not an issue for you, you will not be dissapointed with this property.

Location for the Win

At first sight the cabin didn’t meet expectations. Really close to bar, camper in the front. However when we walked in we were thrilled. Great appliances and bedroom. Cozy, gorgeous patio out back that is completely quiet and private. And getting to Glacier could not have been easier. After that first moment we Loved our location. Trip was made complete by eating at Caroline’s a couple times. Highly recommend Greg who is very nice and helpful with our stay.

Cozy Cabin-Great location to GNP

The cabin was nice for what we needed. Great location to get to Glacier National Park. Close to several towns. Maybe a little too close to the bar and grill next to us, but we didn't have any problems with noise at all. Well supplied with items we needed. Could have been a little cleaner, but it worked.

Glacier Park adventure

The cabin itself was clean as were the sheets and towels. What was dirty, which was probably not the fault of the manager but previous tenants who did not clean some utensils and a couple pans. Hot tub was great, but again, it was cloudy and not maintained by prior tenants so we felt we needed to wait a day to enjoy. Sliding glass door was another issue, its slide was dented so to slide it back and forth was impossible.

Hidden Gem (that I will probably regret telling others about :) )

Dont judge a book by its cover. The cabin doesnt look like much from the front but once inside I was delighted by all the amenties. Large refrigerator, washer dryer, air fryer, tv with surround sound, plenty of towels, bedding, maps, bear mace...this list goes on. Then there is the beautiful backyard. The backyard is special...hot tub, grill, tv, hammock fireplace. I really enjoyed how the place was decorated too... very unique stuff. I saw some reviews that complained about the water pressure and lighting and I have to say it was either bs or has been corrected. There was more then enough water pressure, shower even has dual heads, very hot water, the lighting was dimmable and was more than enough. Location is excellent...very close to the park entrance. My favorite part was being right next to the Packers Roost, where I enjoyed dinner and a beer on two different nights. The staff were very friendly and even let me in on a few local secrets. I wont disclose those but lets say they were very intriguing. Rocks to rabbits... I would definitely try to stay here again if given the chance.

A Gem Not to Be Overlooked

We had the best week at Greg’s cabin. Tucked behind the Packers Roost Bar, it has a fully and very high private and comfortable fenced backyard with all of the fun and amenities you could think of. It’s minutes away from the West Glacier park entrance and Amtrak station in one direction, and no more than 20-30 minutes from Glacier Airport, Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and a boatload of other outstanding little spots to explore for dinner and necessities. The cabin has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, every type of cooking option including a crockpot and a backyard grill, hairdryer, soap dispensers in the shower, plus tons of books, movies, games, and all the little thoughtful touches that made our stay so cozy. You can just tell a lot of thought and care goes into making sure guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay and relax in the massive hot tub after a day of hiking in Glacier National Park. Outstanding property, 12/10 would stay there again!

Lovely cabin close to Glacier National Park

Loved my stay at this location! Super cute place very close to Glacier National Park and walking distance from a bar. The owner, Greg, was also super kind and helpful. We had a question about how to work the hot tub and he was quick to respond and even came over to show us how to work it. Would definitely stay again if traveling over there in the future!

Good Location to West Glacier

The property was clean and well kept. The hot tub was an excellent bonus. The cabin was the perfect size for two people and two little dogs. Located between West Glacier and Whitefish so we had plenty of things to do within easy driving distance.

Family vacay

This cabin is very conveniently located!! It’s right off the highway and close to the entrance to the park! The owner was very friendly! It is located right next to Packers Roost which had great service and great food. The hot tub could use a food cleaning as there was a weird mildew building up on the cover and headrests. The hot tub also feels like it’s about to fall through the deck. The fridge doesn’t work the greatest, the freezer doesn’t freeze stuff. The cabin is very rustic and I wouldn’t say very “luxurious” but we still enjoyed our stay! The dishwasher also had some mold growing in it.

Great vacation

We came to Montana to see Glacier National Park and to do some hiking and fishing. This property was perfect for us. We were close to the park and some good fishing areas. We enjoyed the fire pit every evening and the accommodations were fine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a rustic setting to enhance their outdoor experience.

don't judge a book by its cover

When we first pulled in to the property and took a look around, we were a bit skeptical (close to a bar/restaurant, very close to highway, RV right next to bar/restaurant). Our stay could not have gone better! Greg is an excellent host and very available to help if needed. He explained to us any issues that we might have and left us to enjoy our vacation. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. We used the washer/dryer, hot tub, shower, Netflix, kitchen appliances......felt like we owned the place. Very close to everything we wanted to do (West Glacier, Rafting, shops, etc...). We would definitely stay again!! Thank you Greg!

Good Retreat

Overall is was a nice place. It was close to Glacier. It was comfortable. Greg was a good and gracious host. Our first reaction was not good considering it was right next to a bar on one side and a cabin on the other side was right out of "Deliverance". Picture makes it look quietly secluded. It was not. First stepping into the house had a heavy perfumed smell. The kind you smell in hotels that are trying to cover up a cigarette smoke. We determined that that order was just around the entry. Every where else was nice and comfortable. The property is worn a bit. But it is a cabin for goodness sake. It certainly does not live up to its title of "luxurious". But overall a good place to stay.
