The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn heater down to 50 degrees F. If you used the shop fan be sure to lock it back up. Do one load of wash place in the dryer. Do a second load and leave in the washer. Don’t wash bathrobes.
Have a safe travels home
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Would prefer guests remove shoes while in the cabin. Person making reservation must accompany other guests and stay on site.

Chief William Fuller Monument and Whale Rock are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Dodge Ridge and Stoddard Spring. Linda and her family were very good guests. They were in the area for a family reunion. All guests were great. I had the chance to meet them, as my wife and I were putting the final touches on everything, when they arrived. They were not early- we were running late. It was nice to meet everyone in person, briefly as we were trying to get out as they were coming in for their stay. I would highly recommend to other Hosts, operating other cabins/homes. Good people!

We came to town for a wedding and enjoyed this beautiful home with our baby! Carefully cleaned, beautiful decorated, and helpful hosts! Everything we needed was readily available and they even left us a baby gate!

Great property - great owners

Received multiple communications from the Lister, including a call the day we arrived making sure everything we needed was there, if we had questions, and if we were comfortable. The house is lovely, spacious, and clean. Nearly anything you want is available at the cabin already, and the location is amazing. I imagine staying I the summer would be even more amazing.

Dodge Ridge ski weekend

Stayed at property with my family and another family for a ski weekend at Dodge Ridge. There was a welcome basket with lots of goodies and the cabin was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room for both families.

Wonderful Mountain Stay

This was by far the best property we've stayed at in the area (been coming here for years). The house is well appointed, comfortable, clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and the proximity to Dodge is perfect. There was even an amazing gift basket for us and our boys. So thoughtful. We would love to stay again next season!!!

Wonderful family vacation!

This house is great! Very well appointed with plenty of bedding, towels, games/toys for kids and kitchen supplies. We were a bit worried about no streaming WiFi being available, but we brought some dvds and it all worked out! Location is very convenient ( 15 min drive to Leland and Dodge Ridge); there were more nearby restaurants than we expected. We hope to return some day.

We really enjoyed this home. Beautifully updated, kitchen well stocked, plenty of space for us. It’s a 3 bedroom home, not 6 bedrooms, but we used the air mattress (huge!) and pull out couch. Welcome basket was a nice surprise. Host was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Will definitely rent again!

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable cabin

We had a wonderful vacation in this cabin. Owners were very attentive and responsive, the house was clean and comfortable. Large window in the living room gives a beautiful view of snow covered trees. Short drive to Leland Snow Play. Kids enjoyed safely playing with snow on the gated deck. If we travel back to the area, this is where we will be staying again.

Lovely place with many special touches

Upon entering, we were super impressed and noticed the sweet welcome basket, 4 small stuffed bear toys, and kind note hand written by the owner welcoming us. These kind of gestures make such an impact on me. The rest of the place was equally as impressive, clean, spacious, and well stocked. The owner was very easy to get a hold of as well. We love love loved it and would recommend it to anyone of any age range.

Quiet outdoor escape

First, I need to say that Dennis & Margie Anderson are phenomenal hosts. They were a huge help when it came to finding other activities to do in the area. They responded to my questions quickly and were very professional, it made our trip all the more stress-free. The cabin was amazing, great location and great environment, if you love to see the sun rising through the trees this is the place for you. The cabin was very clean and had many amenities. Change of Scenery

We needed a change of scenery after sheltering in place since March. This home was the perfect place for our escape. This beautiful home is close to Pinecrest lake and Dodge Ridge. The home is clean. The owners’ hospitality shines through in their amenities and there care for their guests staying in their home. You really don’t need much but your clothing, tooth brush and food. We enjoyed eating outdoors, playing games as a family, spending time at the lake early before it got too crowded, watching the hummingbirds and relaxing on the deck. This was the perfect home for our getaway.

Growing up as a child, my family would go camping at Pinecrest Lake, Meadow View and the surrounding area. When I grew up, I took my family to the area as well. I fell in love with the Pinecrest area, so much so - that my wife (Margie) and I got married in the garden of the Strawberry Inn, at Strawberry CA., five minutes from the cabin. It was a beautiful wedding. Our life-long dream, was to eventually own a cabin in the area. Our dream came true. In 2019, Margie and I purchased our cabin, the Anderson's Alpine Retreat. We now have the cabin available for other's to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

I'm filling out the Vrbo data information to list this property, and they are asking the following question: "Why This Property" My answer is, why not this property? The Sierra Mountains, are the most beautiful mountain ranges in the country, if not the world. I have driven through the Alps, in Germany, and they don't even compare to the beauty of the Sierra's (as far as I'm concerned). Our cabin is one of the newer cabins in the area, but we have still given it, that rustic feel. The cabin itself is very spacious, over 2,200 square feet.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is far enough away from Hwy 108 that you don't get all of the traffic noise, yet it is close enough to make a quick drive to Pinecrest Lake, Twain Hart, Strawberry, Dodge Ridge, and the local grocery stores. If you stay at our cabin, I might suggest a trip that you will really enjoy: During the spring and summer, you must take a day and drive over Sonora Pass, on Hwy 108. It is such a beautiful drive. Go on in to town of Bridgeport, or visit Bodie, a Ghost Town, near Bridgeport, that has some very interesting buildings.
