About this property
The Little Red Cottage
Summary: Our cottage overlooking Annapolis Royal is the perfect setting to create your own adventure, whether you are exploring the Cradle of Canada, researching your ancestry, enjoying the outdoors or looking for the perfect forever home. Our Nova Scotia Tourism registration number is STR2425D1660
The Space: One private bedroom with a queen-size bed and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room not private and probably suitable only for kids or 1 adult (Even though it can sleep 4, we believe it is best suited for 2 guests) ). A truly unique ever changing setting, first row to watch the tide come in or out, and to keep the million-dollar unobstructed view, please watch out for your dog and kids. We are right on the water, in the Annapolis Basin, there is no real beach to stroll in, and the currents are quite strong, so we don't recommend swimming. We are 2 minutes away from Annapolis Royal in the Village of Granville Ferry, so we are surrounded by our friendly neighbours & you will see us on our deck enjoying a cold one with friends or just hanging out, the backyard of the cottage is private enough that you will feel on your own. Our cottage is a charming place with the quirks of all old houses, and that in itself makes it unique but not the Ritz.
Guest Access: Propane BBQ. beautiful views. Smart TV & Cable and plenty of kids DVD's and DVD player, Kitchen is stocked with basics: Mayo, mustard, ketchup, salad dressing, oil, vinegar, spices, complimentary coffee and tea. Pet essentials (bowl, towel, poop bags)
The Neighborhood: The Cradle of Canada, vibrant community in the summertime, nice restaurants in the area, and lots of day trips, like whale watching, canoeing, great hikes, tons of history. As well, you can quietly stay at home watching the tide come in or go out.
Getting Around: If you have a bike, bring it! walking to town is 20 min. and we don't have public transport.
Other Things to Note: Let us know if there is anything else you need, we will try to accommodate you. ONLY 1 (ONE) PET PER VISIT ***LET ME KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING ONE AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION*** We are right ON the water, so please be careful with your dog and the kids (can't stress this enough) there is a fire pit in the backyard for your enjoyment, sometimes there are fire bans in the area so please check Nova Scotia Safeburn before you start a fire, the fines are hefty and WE WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM. Make sure the fire is put out before you turn in. No parties. Nova Scotia in the summer equals bugs, so use repellent & sunscreen. By no means is this a secluded cottage, our house, where we live, is on the same property, we like to spend time on the deck and entertain. Our pricing includes 3% Marketing Levy imposed by Annapolis County.
Interaction with Guests: We will greet you when you come, and be available for any needs or inquires you might have. Our home is located on the same property, if you look closely at the photos, the house in the back is us, this is how close we are to each other, BUT, we won't interfere with you or even hear you! Just remember that you are in our home, so please treat it respectfully.
