Exuma is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see, from clear blue skies to crystal clear waters. Located in the Bahamas, but luckily spared from the devastation of Hurricane Dorian, the island and its people are ready for you to enjoy. Sandy Bum was designed with relaxation in mind, from the spacious cabana overlooking the beautiful infinity pool and spa that fades into the infamous Exuma Blue waters of Tar Bay, to the luxurious great room with endless views and high ceilings. Rent 4 bedrooms or all 7, including a bunk room that has two twins over queens. Sandy Bum can comfortably accommodate up to 18 people.

Sandy Bum is a three-story ICF constructed stucco home with hurricane grade windows that have built-in screens and blinds. The lower level of the house was built for play. It includes a pool table, 55 inch TV video games and a DVD player. There is also a dry bar and lounge seating. For those looking to do more than relax there a workout room on the lower level that has a Precor 546i elliptical, Schwinn IC3 Indoor Cycling Bike, light weights, exercise balls, yoga mats and a 43 inch TV (a special request is required when booking to use the workout room).
As you walk into Sandy Bum’s main level, the first thing you see is the incredible views from the great room’s 3 sliding doors. The main level is home to the gourmet kitchen featuring top of line appliances including dual Bosch dishwashers, a large Viking refrigerator, Bosch 5 burner cooktop and combo microwave/oven. There is a large island for meal preparation and the kitchen is loaded with small appliances and tons of gadgets. The cupboards are filled with tableware, glassware, flatware and melamine for indoor and outdoor use. There is a combination espresso/coffee maker along with a Keurig Machine, reusable Keurig cups are provided for your own coffee. If you are ready to bake like Mom’s Bakery- all the supplies are there!

Right off the kitchen is the family room featuring a small sitting area and a well-appointed wet bar. The wet bar features a built in gourmet ice maker and a beverage refrigerator with 4 pull-out shelves. There is a small sink and many types of glassware for the savvy bartender.

Gather around the dining room which has a large table to enjoy the views with up to 16 guests. There are a number of serving dishes and glassware in the numerous cabinets. The great room has plenty of seating and a large 50 inch TV and DVD player if for some reason you do not want to watch the waves.

Also on the main level is a half bath and large capacity washer and dryer.

There are six bedrooms in the main house: three on the main level and 3 on the top floor. Five bedrooms have a king bed and ensuite featuring a double sink vanity and a walk-in tile shower stall. The sixth bedroom contains bunk beds that are twins over queens and an ensuite also with a double sink vanity and a walk-in tile shower stall. Each bedroom has a 40 inch TV. The seventh bedroom is located under the cabana and features a king bed and ensuite with a walk-in tile shower stall.

From the family or great room you can walk out onto the large outside entertainment area. The water front side of the house features a large deck perfect for relaxing, reading and watching the sun rise or set. Next to the house, the deck surrounds a 25 foot by 36 foot infinity pool. The pool has a shallow ledge that has 4 in-pool loungers and drink coolers. Relax! No need to move for a drink. There is also an eight foot heated spa in the pool. Parallel to the house on the edge of the deck is a spacious cabana that contains a large seating area, outdoor dining table, island bar, grill, sink, and refrigerator and separate powder room.

All of the TVs in the house are smart TVs wired to the internet and ready for your entertainment. There is Wi-Fi access throughout the house thanks to multiple Wi-Fi access points. For music, the house is wired with six MusicCast zones. MusicCast is Yamaha’s multi-room audio system to allow the same music to be played throughout the house. Can’t agree on music?? The MusicCast Zones allow you to choose different music in any combination of rooms. The MusicCast app can be downloaded to any iOS or Android device prior to arrival and will automatically be configured once you connect to the Wi-Fi network. Sandy Bum is conveniently located between the Georgetown Airport (GGT) and Georgetown itself on the beautiful beaches of Tar Bay. A quick 10 minute drive from the airport and you will be relaxing at Sandy Bum. It is the perfect location to enjoy all that Exuma has to offer. From multiple grocery stores to restaurants, straw market, or just exploring.

It is divided into the 2 deposits and is refunded to the guests after inventory and 7 days after check out. The first payment is 50% of TOTAL charges and collected with the signed rental agreement. The final payment will be collected 30 days prior to arrival and will be the remainder of the TOTAL charges. We do not use VRBO to charge damage protection.
