About this property

York City Centre Luxurious Apartment with FREE ONSITE PARKING!

This luxurious apartment, is run personally by Melanie and David from York Stay Holidays and welcomes visitors from around the world. It has been renovated to the highest standards and tastefully decorated throughout. It is bright and airy and set in a quiet location with lovely views of the gardens which are available for guests to use. The apartment is on the first-floor (no lift) with a well kitted kitchen and lounge area, bathroom with bath and shower, bedroom with UK king-sized bed and good WIFI throughout. It also has free onsite gated parking which is a rarity in York. The apartment is suitable for couples (and an additional guest - please ask about our sofa bed) or solo travellers and is in a very safe part of the City.

The apartment is located just a 2-minute walk from Goodramgate and Monkbar (which is one of the main entrances into the City) and about 5-minutes from York Minster and the famous Shambles and yet set in a quiet location. The nearest Airport in Leeds Bradford and it is a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk from York Station.

There are a number of supermarkets within a short walking distance (5-10 minutes) of the apartment including a large Morrisons and Waitrose and a smaller ASDA and Tescos Express.

Self check-in via a key safe to allow arrival time flexibility.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make you feel at home. There is a a built-in washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and plus there is a Nespresso coffee machine and pods and milk frothier. We supply tea, coffee, coffee pods, sugar and biscuits.

LOUNGE/DINER
In the lounge there are comfortable dining chairs, tub chair with foot stall and an extremely comfortable sofa bed. (If you would like to use the sofa bed for an extra guest, please ask, there is an additional £15 a night and we will supply bedding and towels). The smart tv has catch up tv available and there is a blue tooth speaker which allows you to play music from your phone.

BEDROOM
There is a luxurious UK king-size bed with crisp Egyptian cotton bedding and soft white towels are also provided. There are USB charger sockets in the bedroom to charge phones and tablets without needing a plug. There is also a hairdryer and water bottles provided.

BATHROOM
The bathroom has a good-sized bath with an electric overhead shower, there is a heated towel rail and external window.

There is high-speed free WIFI throughout the apartment.

This apartment is suitable for short and long stays.

The owners have extensive knowledge of York and the surrounding areas and ensure that guests have up-to-date tourist information sent in advance of their trip.

Great Location

Private parking, easy access, Sainsbury next door, and Monkbar Gate & York Minster a short walk away: this apartment is in the ideal location. The apartment was well appointed with a comfortable bed, a nice kitchen and lounge space, and good WiFi. Only complaints were low pressure in the shower and clothes dryer no longer works. We loved our stay and highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Apartment Rental in York

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in York. The location is perfect to walk to all of the sights, shops and pubs in the old town of York. The photos don't do this apartment justice, it is immaculate, comfortable and well stocked. It is really nice to have free/safe parking just outside your door and access to a washing machine in the apartment. The owners were easy to work with and very kind to let us check in early on our day of arrival. We would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely flat, a short walk from Yorkminster

Melanie & David offer a very comfortable, contemporary flat, one block from groceries and 2 blocks from the gate into old town and Yorkminster. They were very gracious hosts, accommodating essentially everything we requested (and offering more). They provide a substantial array of tourist documentation with a highly useful map in one of them. We have come to value Rick Steves’ travel books, and found his advice on things to do in York invaluable. We highly recommend Melanie & David’s flat ... thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Had a lovely time at this apartment, located just a few minutes walking distance from York Minster. The apartment exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Plenty of coffee and tea . Melanie very prompt in replying to any messages. It was also great having a dedicated, secure parking spot, not that we used our car during our in York. Wonderful Property, Location and Hosts

The previous reviewer said it all. The apartment was pristine, in a great walking location, and Melanie and David were wonderful hosts. We didn't know how to unlock the washer/dryer combination and David popped in right away to let us know I had flipped a switch on the wall which turned the power off to the unit. Problem solved! We appreciated the homemade cake from Melanie; she even had the water prepared for afternoon tea when we arrived. The car stayed in the adjacent parking lot for the time we were in York because everything was within walking distance. There is a plethora of information on York provided in the unit and both Melanie and David gave us some great ideas for touring their city. There is an Indian restaurant within a 15 minute walk from the unit called Coconut Lagoon near the university. If you enjoy Indian, we recommend it. A thoroughly enjoyable first-time visit to York England from two folks from York Pennsylvania.

Lovely apartment in a prime location

The apartment is beautifully presented, clean and very well-equipped. It is only a short stroll to the heart of the City with its numerous attractions. The car can be safely abandoned in the dedicated space which is a great benefit, York is a fascinating and vibrant city with a rich history and where better to explore this than Cloisters Walk? This was our second visit and certainly won’t be our last.

Absolutely perfect

The apartment was perfect had everything we could have needed and more. Great location with a supermarket at the doorstep and town less than 5 mins walk away. Private parking included so was able to leave the car parked all weekend without having to move it. Had a very warm welcome with a lovely cake and kettled boiled. Would highly recommend this apartment we will definitely be returning!!

Perfect city centre flat

Fantastic location and the property was immaculate. Melanie and David’s attention to detail was amazing. The flat had everything you could need whilst on holiday. Their suggestions for restaurants were very helpful .we would have no hesitation in recommending the flat to friends and family.

We have lived in York for over 30 years and have marketing/fundraising and engineering backgrounds. We love York and all has to offer visitors and really enjoy welcoming people to the City and showing them around.

Several years ago, we decided to combine our love of the City and offer holiday accommodation. Our local knowledge helped us to find a fabulous apartment right in the Centre of town and yet set back in a peaceful location. We the apartment to a high standard, with particular attention to detail and worked hard to create a home-from-home environment so that our visitors can simply relax and enjoy themselves. We go that extra mile to make the holiday experience a special one and get lots of repeat guests.

This property is situated in the best location in York, right in the Centre but tucked away in a quiet location. Parking is at a premium in York and extremely expensive. Our apartment comes with a parking space.
