Ideally located cottage to explore the area. Beds were comfortable but the lounge furniture had been changed from that advertised which was a shame.

The furniture has been changed as the original sofa leg broke. There is now a large corner sofa which many guests have said was perfect for socialising.
Enjoyed staying at The Lodge - away from it all, peaceful, plenty of space and seclusion. Also enjoyed the facilities and the swimming pool - and comfortable beds! Thank you to our host Georgina for the “little extras” to greet us and for our happy stay in your home - loved by all.
Deceptively tardis like property with comfy beds and plenty of space for everyone. Set back from the road so you hear very little noise but the nature around you
The lodge was fantastic for all of us ,large secure garden for dogs and bridle path alongside so no worries about traffic.property clean and comfortable and swimming pool was great clean and warm.Hoping to book for next year.
Excelkent, well equipped and comfortable property. More than helpful host. Great location for visiting Orford, Aldeburgh and area. Recommend the Uffird Crown for a meal...
What a lovely place, just as described. Had a great time away, loved the tranquil setting. Our granddaughter loved the pool. Will definitely come again. Thank you Georgia.
The cottage is beautiful, sparkling clean and has everything you could need to have a relaxing holiday. The accomodation is large and the lounge and bedrooms very comfortable. The grounds are impressive with the garden to the cottage secure for both chidren and dogs, my dog loved the space, and the fact we could explore the bridal paths on our morning walk.
We found the surrounding area offers plenty of sight seeing and some excellent places to eat.
Would highly recommend a stay at this lovely property.
Fabulous stay in a beautiful setting. Clean and warm with everything you need. Owner very helpful and left us some lovely goodies, which were very much appreciated. Thank you
Property was all we needed for our stay with the added bonus of the heated outside pool which we used every morning!
The location is amazing, the village is beautiful, the church and the village hall, perfect for a dog walk!
We did a mixture of eating in and out, the kitchen was well equipped and the added treats that were left were very much appreciated! Thanks for having us xx
Took 50 out of my account for stupid reason. Absolutely unacceptable!

The £50 damage fee was requested from VRBO to cover the damage that occurred during your stay - that is it's purpose. I feel that the 2 star rating is not reflective of the cottage and your stay, but rather your annoyance at this extra cost. It was unfortunate that it was necessary and I provided photographic evidence.
Really nice cottage with a unique lay out (bedrooms downstairs) and a massive garden which includes table tennis table and football goal. Comfortable beds (we all slept well) and loved the massive corner sofa in the lounge. The location was perfect for us in being close to places like Woodbridge and Aldeburgh.
Only negative I would say is the showers are pretty hit and miss (not very powerful and hot to cold to hot during use).
Comfortable, well equipped with many thoughtful and welcome touches. Totally peaceful, great location, very close to all the best that Suffolk can offer.
We found the maps and local guides provided really useful. Pub recommendations were spot on, try the Ufford Crown if you can. This property was great for three adults on a short break, but would also suit a family with young children. Lots to do right on the doorstep! Recommended and we hope to return for a longer stay.

About the host
Hosted by Georgia Faulkner
Brian is a local veterinary surgeon and Georgia works alongside him in the practice. They have three dogs - Bear, Ellie and Lola, and a number of pet sheep along with an alpaca.
Why they chose this property
We have lived around the Woodbridge area for many years, enjoying the proximity to river, forest, heathland and coast. The village location is wonderfully convenient for local amenities and close to the A12 and A14 for access to London, Norwich and the Midlands.
What makes this property unique
Lodge cottage is a converted apple store. It was renovated in the style of a colonial thatched cottage and is 'upside down' with the bedrooms on the lower ground floor. The upper ground floor provides a spacious bright and area sitting room with triple aspect windows. The cottage is very close to places of interest; Framlingham, Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo, Snape Maltings, Orford, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich are all a short drive away. There is a railway station in the next village of Campsea Ashe, with trains to Woodbridge and Ipswich. There are regular trains from Ipswich to London which means that day trips to the Capital are possible. Coastal and heathland walks, castles and cycling through the picturesque Suffolk villages and country lanes are just part of the pleasure, as are visiting friendly local pubs and restaurants. Come to Coastal Suffolk to get away from the crowds.
