This spacious beach house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths allowing accommodations up to 10 people with 1 King in the master bedroom, 2 Doubles in the 2nd bedroom and 2 Doubles in the 3rd bedroom. Extended families can be accommodated when the Barnett House TOP unit (which is a 7bd/3ba that sleeps 16) is rented in conjunction with Barnett House BOTTOM unit.

The Barnett House is located in the "Family Friendly" Windy Hill Section of North Myrtle Beach which is within minutes of all the Best Places on the beach like Hamburger Joe's, Barefoot Landing and Hawaiian Village Golf just to name a few.

We actually stayed in the upper level. We absolutely loved the house, it is a very old house it had so much character in history.( This house was the third house built at the location on the ocean front in 1946 or 1947) Also it had tons of room for our big family to enjoy it. The ocean was right outside across the dunes so we were able to enjoy watching and hearing it from the porch as well going straight down to it. We got to meet the neighbors that had built there house in 1954We will definitely be staying here again if possible in the future

The location was great Ocean view /short walk to ocean The rental is dated,window ac unit in kitchen doesn't cool, The place wasn't very clean,floors dirty, throw rugs had pet urine on them Notified the management team, they removed them A picture fell off the wall in the middle of the night, hit my son in the head(he wasn't hurt,thank goodness) We enjoyed our time there

I would like to see the mattresses updated, they are not comfortable. My only other complaint is the sand bites in the yard: having dogs, the burrs would get lodged in their pads. Those two comments aside, the house is wonderful and we will stay there again.

We cleaned when the dog came out from chasing his ball from under the couch with a wad of hair and who knows what. Also found under the couch was potato chips, not just crumbs, but who chips as well. thick gooey dust on the air conditioners, the floors and couches were gritty. We washed everything in the kitchen before using it.

One a weekly basis, the heavy furniture such as couches, beds, dressers, appliances, etc are not moved but we would have been more than happy to send housekeeping back to reclean, had we known there was an issue.

Review

The location and having the beach as a backyard were awesome ! When booking it though it does not say it is a duplex. We had people upstairs who were loud in the middle of the night and affected the quality of our stay. Additionally, the screen for the screened in porch had been damaged by a storm the night before our arrival and we were told it would be repaired the next day. It was not repaired which led to dealing with bugs when on the porch. Overall it is a nice place, outdated, but in a marvelous location and I rate it 3.5 stars.

The Upstairs Air/Heat unit is outside on the wall of the master bedroom and is very noisy and vibrates the wall. Needs to be relocated somewhere else. 3. Lawn still has thorns that are a real pain. 4. Floors are always dirty. Wife has to mop upon arrival on every visit.
