We came for a rest and that’s what we got! The area is quiet and rural. I enjoyed daily swims in the pool and the bar/restaurant was really good for a casual dinner and glass of wine. We often went to the bakery which is about 3 miles away, for fresh croissants and bread.
Cottages were done beautifully and had everything required. The owners, Jacqui and Steve, were great, so helpful with anything asked and the pool and outside area was lovely, luckily we were the only ones there for most of the time so was like our own private oasis. The bar down the road overlooking the lake was brilliant, and food amazing too. Would definitely recommend and love to return one day.
The property was all we needed for a perfect stay, clean and all the amenities to hand, the area was very peaceful, with the ability to adventure out from a good central point. We found plenty or nothing to do to keep us more than happy. Only downside, the upstairs can get quiet hot and fans don't really do much to help, aircon would be a bonus which would make it 5 star. I'm sure this is being considered going forward by the owners, as these have only recently been renovated to a great standard. We would use again and recommend. Thank you
