The gîte is located on the heights of Plazac, also called the hidden treasure of the Périgord noir.
You overlook the valleys and on a clear day you can see the snow-capped peaks of Puy-de-Dôme.
From the cottage, you have a very nice view and although you have a few neighbors, you are also quite isolated.
A few minutes by car, you are in the village of Plazac where there is among other things an organic supermarket, a bar-restaurant, a post office, a medical office, a nursing office, a charming medieval church with its castle of Bishops adjoining, typical alleys and a splendid cemetery classified at the top of the village.
You are 10 minutes from the Lascaux caves (in Montignac), 10 minutes from the National Museum of Prehistory (in Les Eyzies-de-Taillac), 35 minutes from Sarlat or Périgueux and 5 minutes from the Buddhist centers.
Many hiking possibilities are available to you by leaving the gîte on foot, in particular to reach the village of Plazac by paths that cross woods and valleys.
You will be welcome in this recent house, but full of charm, very well designed and meeting current insulation standards.
On the ground floor, you will find a large living dining room, heated in winter by a small wood stove very efficient and very easy to use. An American kitchen is attached to the dining area. The ground floor is completed by a cellar, a WC and an independent entrance.
The upper floor is made up of a hall, three bedrooms (two with a double bed and one with two bunk beds twice) and a large bathroom.
Outside, you enjoy a large terrace, facing south, which faces the valley, on which you can have an aperitif and your meals.
The swimming pool (6 x 4 m) will be operational at the end of May 2020.
