Family Friendly - Dual Suite Cottage in Sylvan Lake

*We book by the week: Monday to Sunday. We keep our nightly rate lower so you can book the whole week and still enjoy an affordable stay, even if you don’t use every night.*

Bright cottage has rustic charm with modern upgrades. Upper House was built in 1950 & re-located on top of our walk-out suite. 2 separate, self-contained suites...perfect for sharing your holiday with friends & family. This is the perfect cottage for your summer getaway - it's clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Just pack your swimsuit & groceries and you're ready to enjoy your holiday, your family, and your friends, to the fullest!

INTERIOR
Separate kitchens up and down each have a stove, fridge, dishwasher, and microwaves, as well as toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc. All kitchen cookware, dishes, cutlery, utensils (including kid dishes/cutlery).

Both suites have their own laundry area, with full-size washer and dryer...Upper suite also has a laundry sink, iron & board.

The three bedrooms upstairs have 2 Queen beds & a Bunkbed (Double on bottom, Single on top)
The 2 bedrooms downstairs have a Queen bed & a Double bed.
All beds are provided with protective mattress covers, fresh sheets & pillows with double pillow cases.
- Throw blankets provided in each bedroom closet drawer or shelf for extra comfort but please bring your own blanket/comforter/sleeping-bag for beds as these are not provided

Both bathrooms are modern - upper suite with large tiled walk-in shower; lower suite with tub-shower. Clean bath towels, hand towels & face cloths are provided.
*Please bring your own beach towels.

Both suites have dining and living room areas, with ROKU TV’s (set to “Guest Mode” for streaming your own personal streaming services), Shaw basic HD cable & DVD players. A lengthy DVD library is available for your pleasure, located in the Upper suite. Wireless internet is also supplied throughout the cottage.
Both suites have toy bins plus a great selection of board games, puzzles, coloring books & crayons/pencil crayons

There is plenty of storage space, and the home is well ventilated, with large windows on both levels. We do not have a/c but have: 1 ceiling fan, 4 table fans (1 in each bedroom closet & 1 in living room) & 1 stand-up fan (in living room) in Upper suite. We also have 2 table fans in our Walk-out suite (1 in each bedroom closet).

All cleaning products are provided.

EXTERIOR

The cottage upper suite has 2 upper decks (front and back) with patio furniture and a gas barbecue.

The walkout suite opens onto it's own patio with furniture and fenced yard with fire-pit.

PARKING

2 spots on rear parking pad + 3 max parking on front street, *street is paid parking: we are able to add 3 license plates as “Residential Permit” (license plates must be sent to host before check-in)

NO PETS ALLOWED, ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!
NO SMOKING/VAPING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED INSIDE PROPERTY (incl tobacco/cannabis/etc) we cannot guarantee against allergies. Please advise us of any health concerns, and respect local noise and parking by-laws.

A few things we ask of our guests:

Cottage-Courtesy: Guests should leave the cottage as clean as they found it.
- Please treat our home with respect
- No Smoking inside, including vaping (you may smoke/vape outside but you are responsible for disposing of your smoking materials in a safe & courteous manner!)
- No pets in or on property, No exceptions
- Please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm
- Please only eat in the kitchen and dining area, and not in the bedrooms.
- Do not use furniture in living rooms as beds or sleeping area. Futon in Upper Suite is not to be used as a bed.
- Do not use any furniture, cushions, pillows, etc that are indoors for outdoor use.
- No open flame candles

NOT PROVIDED:
- Comforters/blankets/sleeping bags.
- Beach towels.
- Firewood

CHECK IN:
- You will be provided a code for a key-pad door lock to gain entrance into each suite. This is sent thru VRBO messaging on check-in day: after 12:00pm, before 4:00pm check-in

CHECK OUT:
- Garbage is to be removed and placed in the black bin at the alley; Recycling placed in the blue lid bin (pick up is Tuesday morning)
- Bagged bottles/cans left behind must not be left with Garbage & Recycling in alley, rather leave in bins, in yard or on Upper rear deck.
- Please ensure all dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher & turned on prior to check-out
- Leave refrigerator’s/freezer’s clean & empty *No food left behind
- Place fitted sheets & pillow cases in the provided hamper in laundry areas
- Place used towels in the provided hamper in laundry areas
- Close and lock all doors & windows (Upper front sliding door requires locking stick in place + handle lock)
- Turn off all lights (indoor/outdoor) & fans.
- Thermostats should be OFF
- Outdoor hose OFF
- Gas to BBQ (Upper Suite) OFF
- Please send a message thru the VRBO messaging upon check out, to let us know you’ve left the premises.

Other things to note:

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have exterior security cameras located at the front & rear. These cameras record video and audio 24/7 and are used for security purposes only. There are no cameras inside the home or any private spaces.
