Welcome to our private guest suite located within our beautiful family home. Herlihy's is a short 10 minute drive from Killarney (15 minutes by bus or train).
Yes! You will live quite literally in the pub. Herlihy’s Bar ceased trading as a licensed premises in 2017.
Since then the bar and ancillary areas have been re-commissioned into a wheelchair friendly self-catering accommodation.
The bar counter is now home to a bespoke fitted kitchen, featuring all “mod cons”, the bar back remains in situ and the bar floor area has been transformed into living/dining space complete with up-cycled bar furniture and a sofa bed. In contrast to the traditional bar ambience, the remainder of the unit is ultramodern and encompasses a double bedroom, bathroom, complete with wet area and utility room. A private wheelchair accessible entrance leads into a hallway and a patio-door gives direct access from the bedroom to a beautiful garden (where one can barbecue weather permitting!), terrace and car park.
There is a lovely atmospheric ambience to the accommodation, making it perfect as a cosy welcoming venue for a totally relaxing break. It is the perfect location for a Kerry holiday just 1.5 km from Kerry Airport and 15 km from Killarney town centre. Plus a first rate taxi service.
