Prime Vallarta location with easy access to the beach

This apartment is located in the Marina Vallarta area, within the Velas resort complex. The complex is very well maintained and offers premium services (e.g. all-inclusive, for an additional fee). The apartment itself is spacious and well distributed but it is starting to show its age. That said the host was fantastic dealing with some of the maintenance issues that we encountered during our stay and they were all resolved.

Lovely Villa, showing age

Pros: -This villa is lovely, great use of space -The large patio overlooks the ocean, the resort pools, and is worth the whole trip. -The resort itself is beautiful and relaxing, flowers, peacocks, very well kept. -water volleyball and beach volleyball every day -The pool service staff was top notch. -The food is decent both in quality and price. -The Marina district is close to the airport, easy to get to. -We had a last minute adult kid able to join us and although that seemed to upset the owner, we paid an upcharge and apparently she was ok with that. -The owner agent Monika was finally able to text with me personally and helped resolve issues quickly. Cons: -Villa is older so musty smells and moldy corners. -The master shower head did not function for most of the week and although I spent a considerable amount of time waiting for multiple mechanic visits and orchestrating the repair, the owner did not offer any discount. -The hotel treats you very different since this villa is privately owned. -if you want to spend a lot of time in the Central or Romantic districts, the drive back and forth gets very old.
