Very nice clean place with everything you need, close to snowmobile trails, big driveway for truck and trailer, had a nice binder with clear instructions on how everything worked
Everything was neat and clean and it was a beautiful place and setting. Very close to town and the boat launch was very handy being about a half mile away. We would definitely stay there again for our next fishing adventure!
This is my second stay here for a long weekend fishing getaway and it’s absolutely perfect. The location is spectacular, the cabin is well maintained and has everything I need. I’ll be back!
Great spot for our golf trip. The cabin was clean, quiet, and had plenty of space for seven of us. The river in the backyard was beautiful, and the location felt really private. Check-in was easy. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house, yard, and amenities were top notch and Curt was super responsive throughout our stay. Thank you for everything!
We had a wonderful time. Home was spacious and cleaned with full kitchen and many unexpected amenities. The home was perfectly located to access all northern Michigan has to offer. Thanks for sharing your home. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to our friends and family.
The cabin was super clean and perfect for our family of 6! The weather in Michigan was awesome! We even rafted and went right behind the cabin, which was super cool!
This was our second stay at Sturgeon River Lodge and we enjoyed it even more. The house is in perfect shape with everything you might need. The owner is very responsive and great to work with. We highly recommend this great property on the Sturgeon River.

Hello, we’re Curt & Jerilynn
We were both born in Michigan down state, and while we’ve lived elsewhere, Michigan has remained our home - and Indian River our happy place for multiple generations of our family - which we are fortunate enough to live in full time since early 2016.
We enjoy jet skiing and boating through the natural wildlife habitat on Burt and Mullet lakes, living on the fabulous fast flowing & spring fed Sturgeon River, watching the ducks float down the river any time of the year, snowmobiling on the hundreds of miles of local trails, or simply going out to dinner at the fantastic local eateries.
We hope you’ll come visit our Lazy Sturgeon Lodge and fall in love with all that Northern Michigan’s wildlife, trees, lakes and rivers have to offer as we have.
Why they chose this property
We live nearby on the Sturgeon River, and the never ending, refreshing and clean spring fed flow is a calming and peaceful wonder. Between canoeing & kayaking, fishing and floating the Sturgeon, and the 38 miles of Inland lakes and waterways that it spills into at Burt lake 2 miles downstream, this part of Michigan is a nature lover's paradise.
