THE OUTDOOR OASIS
The backyard is an entertainment powerhouse: a grassy area for outdoor games & a shaded almost all-day seating/dining area that is illuminated by string lights at night,
• The Water: A 16x32 swimming pool with a wraparound Ipe tropical hardwood deck and a hot tub (which can be turned into a "cool tub" for those humid Texas afternoons). Safety Note: A floating rope marks the steep transition to the deep end. • The Games: An incredible variety including corn-hole, tetherball, outdoor ping pong, croquet, disc golf, giant Yahtzee, scoop ball, and ring toss. • The Vibe: Gather around the shaded fire pit or sit at one of the two outdoor tables to watch the deer feed in the valley below.

A CHEF'S DREAM KITCHEN
Forget the basic "starter kit” - this kitchen is fully stocked for real meals. • High-End Cooking: Gas cooktop, double wall oven, and a Ninja blender. • The "Extras": Electric griddle, crockpot, salad shooter, and a frozen yogurt/ice cream maker. • Fully Stocked Pantry: We provide the essentials, so you don't have to: EVOO, avocado oil, coconut oil, flours, sugars, spices, and nonstick spray. • Coffee & Tea Nook: A dedicated space with a Keurig (pods included), a drip maker, and a variety of teas and sweeteners.

REST & RECHARGE
We believe the best days start with a good night’s sleep. All beds feature 100% cotton 500-thread-count percale sheets. • Master Suite: King bed, seating area, and an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and a clawfoot tub. We even provide hand-crafted fizzy bath bombs and Epsom salts. • Bedroom 2: King bed with a cozy reading nook. • Bedroom 3: One Twin XL and one standard Twin, plus a desk and coloring supplies for the kids. • Shared Bath: Features a deep 6' soaking tub. • Extra Sleeping: A horizontal Queen Murphy bed with a comfortable 12" mattress ensures the game room can easily transform into a fourth bedroom.

THE 500 SF "CINEMA" GAME ROOM
The upstairs 500 sq. ft. loft is designed for total flexibility. Whether you're hosting a high-stakes air hockey tournament or turning in for the night, here’s how to make the most of it:
By Day: The Ultimate Hangout
• Cinema Mode: Close the 10' floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains, fire up the popcorn trolley, and grab a seat for the 70" screen experience. • Game Mode: Challenge the family to a "triathlon" of Pool, Air Hockey, and Foosball.
By Night: The Fourth Bedroom
When it's time to recharge, the room transforms into a quiet, comfortable bedroom: • The Bed: Pull down the horizontal Queen Murphy bed. Unlike a pull-out sofa, this features a true 12" mattress and the same 500-thread count cotton sheets found in the main bedrooms. • Privacy: With the blackout curtains drawn, the room stays dark and cool, making it perfect for late sleepers. • Convenience: All the board games and gaming tables stay in place—no need to move furniture to get a good night's rest.

Great place to stay with activities for everyone. Loved the house, amenities and the view. The hot tub was very relaxing in the chilly air. Kids loved the game room, popcorn machine and outdoor activities. Definitely recommend for a family vacation location.
The house is a perfect place for anyone who wants to getaway! There is something for everyone and the owners are very attentive and available for any questions.
We love this area and this place placemats perfect for our 2 families. Everything was great from the space to the little touches they provided. Easy checkin and checkout. We will be back for sure
It was a beautiful property, we were just hoping we’d be able to get in the lake since in the pictures it was right in the back yard, but due to the drought there’s no lake access.

Unfortunately, the lake is lower than normal, but you still had lake access!! In fact, we mowed you a path to the shoreline where we placed all the kayaks for your conveneince.
The entire Canyon Lake shoreline belongs to the Corp of Engineers. That is public land. Once a person legally accesses the Corp land, they may walk anywhere along the shoreline. Our "waterfront" property abuts up to the Corp property so you may access the lakeshore from the bottom of the hill.
The home is beautiful and well cared for. The beds are soft… and the activities and amenities are unmatched! Swimming pool, hot tub, ping-pong, pool table/air hockey, fooz ball, 2 TVs, lounge chairs, walking trails. Wonderful!!!
This home was worth every penny. We felt as though we were staying at 5 star resort all to ourselves. The pictures don't do it justice and it literally has everything you could need to have a great time. We are looking forward to our next stay!
Great location for total relaxation! The house is wonderful, plenty of space to sleep for all and enjoy. Sad about the lake but that is beyond the owners control. My friends and I had a great time! Thank you.
Our family had a great time. The pool and hot tub were clean, the house was the right size for our group, and there were plenty of things for all age groups to enjoy - especially the air hockey table and board games. The extra water shoes and life jackets were also a plus so that we didn't have to pack them. Couldn't have been better!
We had a great weekend staying here. We were a bachelorette party of 7 and it was such a nice time. The lake was super dry but it is what it is! The pool was great and outdoor games were a lot of fun. Beds were super comfortable and everyone felt very at home. The property was quiet and it was the perfect getaway from the city!
Our family had a wonderful time! Celebrating our grandson's bday. The house is very nice, well kept and most definitely felt like a home away from home. The pool and hot tub were definitely a bonus for our family. Our "remember when" for our granchildren is priceless! We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for the great memories.

About the host
Hosted by Tami Jan
Although from Texas and North Dakota, Ward and I met in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. We were married and have raised our two children there. We love to travel, and one thing we learned early on was vacation homes were the best lodging options for families.
I am an Aggie, but my daughter and son are Longhorns. We are an amicably divided family!
When my daughter (the elder child) chose to attend UT, we decided to vacation in the the Hill Country before we settled her into her dorm. We fell in love with the area and planned to retire here someday. That came in 2015. We live at home in the winter and travel in our RV (with 2 dogs) each summer.
Why they chose this property
This property is one of the most secluded, peaceful, beautiful parts of Canyon Lake (in my humble opinion). There is wildlife galore -- and, yes, there is a blue heron! A beautiful natural shoreline and a cove that does not get overwhelming amounts of boat traffic.
