We absolutely loved our stay here, it really was a dream location and a dream house! The property was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we could have hoped for. The hosts were brilliant at communicating throughout with lots of local tips, and check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier.The town is lovely too, and we walked down to the beach most mornings . We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would happily return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Excellent communication with Miquel and Isabelle before we arrived and during our stay as needed. Super house, and such a beautiful location. Loved exploring the wild and almost empty beaches around Cap Roig, and feeling fitter after climbing the steps back up from town/ el Golfet once or twice a day. Extremely well equipped house and especially the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, we hope to be back again!

Perfection

From start to end, our onboarding and stay at this magical property was exactly what we were seeking for a multi-generational family holiday. Miquel was responsive throughout with thoughtful and precise insight into the area. The house is beautifully appointed and has all we needed to have meals, relax and work remotely. We have created warm memories from our stay that we will hold onto. What a wonderful retreat in this very special part of the Costa Brava.

Beautiful house on a hill

The interior is exactly as pictured, creatively furnished, many personal touches but also very comfortable. A joy to call it home for two weeks. The pool is long so it’s easy to do lengths. The house isn’t in the centre of town so you need a car and we used taxis to go out in the evening. The owners provided a great house book and the driver they recommended was very good.

Perfect stay in Calella

A wonderful property with fantastic views from every window and a beautiful setting. The house has been extremely well designed to make the most of its location with lots of relaxing sitting out spaces inside and out. The interior is very stylish - full of interesting books and artefacts - and the pool is superb with a lovely length for proper swimming. Communication was excellent throughout. Would highly recommend this property and we felt privileged to stay at Miquel and Isabelle’s lovely home. Would mention that we enjoyed the walk to and from Calella but it is a fairly energetic climb back up the hill in case anyone considering staying without a car.

Exceptional spacious villa with a breathtaking (almost 360) view of the sea, the village and the green hills. The main floor (and also the 2nd floor bedrooms) flooded with light and absolutely well equipped in the open-plan kitchen. Modern furniture mixed with local and personal things and memories, the house is decorated with amazing photographs, you can feel the very special personality and history of the villa which made us feel very comfortable.We loved the pool and the length which truly encouraged serious swimming, and also the beautiful landscape around which was ideal for hiking, trail running and biking. Perfect location for active people, but also ideal to simply relax.The onboarding and communication with Miquel was very easy, welcoming and supportive, he really cared about us.We can only recommend this villa and are looking forward to coming back one day.

Wonderful stay

This was a perfect weeklong stay with three couples. The house is exactly as described, if not even better! The views from every room are unparalleled, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to fix a meal when we didn't want to dine out at the many amazing restaurants nearby. Miquel and Isabelle were excellent hosts, thoughtfully checking in on us via message, leaving a thorough guide to the house and the town, and even helping recommend a boat charter service! Note: A car (or rented moped as one of my sisters did) is recommended -- It's a steep 15-minute walk back from the closest (beautiful) beach, and a quick drive into town. Walking is possible but there are some steep hills back to the house which make walking not particularly pleasant.

Stunning home

Beautiful house, amazing views. Loved the pool. About 20min downhill walk to beach and town (does entail walking back up hill at end of day of course) We had a great time and hope to be back again in the future. Favorite parts per my 11 year old -> loved the ice cream and the beds were comfortable Per my 13 year old -> I liked the pool and the house and the restaurants Per my other 11 year old -> the pool was super fun and never too cold so we could swim everyday, I also really like the restaurants Per my husband -> fantastic location for a bit of privacy and amazing walks and runs along the Cami De Ronda, and down to the beautiful secluded beaches. Incredible view all day of the sea, country side, occasional thunder storm.I could sit out on the balcony all day!

Dreamy Views!

Stayed for a week in June with my husband and 3 college-aged children. in advance was excellent. Drove in from a wedding in Provence and it took us 3.5 hours from St. Remy. We were looking for a place that would allow us central access to Barcelona, Girona, & the mountains, but also provided some peace. We do not like to stay in locations with a line of hotels. This was perfect!We had excellent information & a quick response time with question.The house was well equipped & had everything we needed. The pool was awesome! Salt water so good for the skin & so warm with a nice outdoor shower. We enjoyed most meals on the terrace that looked out on the sea and each night was comfortable to play cards and games there as well. Heaven! We loved being able to see the sunrise out front and the sunset in the back. We did not realize that the holiday of St. John was the week we went and it was fun to see the fireworks around town. Location worked GREAT! The last hill to the house, I will not lie, was hard to walk up each day, but I would not have traded it for the spectacular view & would do it again! The hill is the highest over palafrugell & the pictures do not do justice to the home or the views. Everything was clean, well-maintained, & beautiful. A standard in Europe, there is no AC, but hilltop location provided wonderful breezes. Girona - 45 minutes away, Barcelona - 1 hour and 20 minutes. Don’t miss the botanical garden -11” walk!All in all, a wonderful stay.

Serene and Beautiful

We just returned from a lovely stay at this beautiful villa. The location, the home, the decor, the views are all spectacular. Truly one of our very best VRBO vacations thus far. The villa is located at the top of a hill overlooking the sea and Cala El Golfet Beach. The neighborhood is quiet and private. There are walkable trails and paths not far from the home. There was secure off street parking at the home for our rental car. We enjoyed many meals in the outdoor spaces including the poolside patio and attached wraparound deck. The grounds are well-manicured with lovely flowers, herbs, and olive trees. The pool was one of the highlights of this property. The villa is tastefully decorated with art, photography, and pleasant furnishings. The space is light and airy. The kitchen was very well-stocked and had sleek and modern appliances. We felt so relaxed and comfortable in this home. Miquel and Victor were attentive and answered any questions we had. Miquel's communication was excellent and it was evident he takes pride in his home and cares about his guests. He compiled a thorough book detailing the home, location, attractions, and restaurants. We referred to that book numerous times throughout our stay. Overall we had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful slice of paradise. We found ourselves wishing we had booked more than one week. We would return again without hesitation.

Wir hatten als Familie mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern eine wunderschöne Zeit und haben uns vom ersten Moment an unglaublich wohlgefĂŒhlt. Auch unsere Kinder waren begeistert und haben die Zeit im Haus und natĂŒrlich besonders am Pool sehr genossen.Das Haus ist ein absoluter Traum – sehr gemĂŒtlich und mit unglaublich viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die AtmosphĂ€re ist einfach wunderbar: der traumhafte Blick aufs Meer, aber auch der Blick ins Landesinnere, der schöne Pool und die vielen verschiedenen PlĂ€tze rund ums Haus, an denen man sitzen, entspannen und die Ruhe genießen kann.Auch die Lage ist perfekt. In knapp 15 Minuten lĂ€uft man ins Zentrum des Ortes und eine wunderschöne kleine Bucht ist nur etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter: immer unkompliziert, sehr freundlich und ausgesprochen sympathisch. Auch sein Cousin, der vor Ort lebt, ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit.FĂŒr uns gibt es wirklich nur Positives zu berichten. Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen und wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine absolute Empfehlung

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful home. The communication before we arrived was excellent, with helpful tips about various aspects of the property as well as some great restaurant recommendations and advice to book ahead, which we were very grateful for. The pack provided in the house had lots more useful information about the area which meant we walked to beaches and places we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. The house itself is beautiful, set up high, with the most breathtaking views from every window. The different terraces and spaces meant that there was always somewhere cool and breezy to eat, drink, or play cards, and the pool was a welcome respite from the heat as well as being a lovely private space to lounge and read. The view from the en-suite, with a huge window looking down the coastline, is probably the best I’ve ever seen from a bathroom!It’s clear that a huge amount of thought, care and love has been put into this house and the same standard applies to the consideration for guests’ needs, the property had everything we could have wanted, and more, we really couldn’t have wished for a better place for a family holiday with our adult children, thank you to Miquel and Isabelle for sharing it with us.

Wir haben als Familie mit zwei Teenagern eine wundervolle Zeit bei Miquel und Isabelle verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr individuell eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es bietet viel Platz fĂŒr gemeinsame Zeit und gleichermaßen die Möglichkeit sich zurĂŒckzuziehen und den Ort "zwischen Himmel und Meer" zu genießen. Vielen Dank, dass wir in diesem "Zuhause" zu Gast sein konnten.
