This 6 bedroom house is one of the Largest and Spacious Houses at the Resort and has stunning log work throughout - a true Alpine Experience! There is an oversized Hot Tub (100” x 90” as opposed to standard 84” x 84”) on the main deck off the Kitchen area. Natural Gas BBQ on Main Deck and gas fireplace in living area. There are 4 full bathrooms and 2 full kitchens. The property is very popular with and ideal for Multi Family and Generational Family bookings. We cater to family bookings. It is also popular for Golf Group bookings in the summer and of course, skiing/snowboarding in the winter. The house is located in close proximity to all the trail networks Kimberley has to offer, ideal for mountain biking (fat tire biking in the winter), nature walks and hiking. Parking for one car in the garage and 6 cars in driveway. There are a lot of games for both adults and kids including a FoosBall Table, Retro PacMan Arcade game (with various 80's games, Galaxa etc.) Dart Board and a variety of Board Games. Game room is on lower level, next to living area with TV. The house is a flat, 5 to 7 minute walk (400 meters) to the Main Ski Lift. Walking distance to Trickle Creek Golf course and close proximity to 5 other golf courses.

CLEANING FEES: Please note that we take the cleanliness of the house and hot tub very seriously. The $350 fee is a cost recovery situation and not a profit maker. The houses are very large with many beds and multiple bathrooms. It takes a considerable amount of time to get them cleaned and prepared properly. There is also the cost of getting all the bedding and linen done, cleaning supplies, wear and tear on cleaning machines etc. The hot tub maintenance is also very diligent and the tubs are dumped and cleaned regularly. This is also a substantial cost. If you have any issues with either of these, we urge you to contact the owner immediately and it will be rectified promptly.

CHECK OUT TIME: Although we would like to allow for a later check out time, the houses are large, have many beds and bathrooms and take a long time to clean. It is for this reason we must adhere to a 10 am check out time.

WALKING PATH TO DOWNTOWN KIMBERLEY
Directly behind the house is the "Platzl to Peak" paved trail, a great way to visit Kimberley's downtown Platzl area for shopping and dining. It takes about 12 - 15 minutes to walk to downtown Kimberley.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We have good relations with our neighbors. The neighborhood is a mix of full time residents and vacation rentals. If you are planning on coming to Kimberley for a loud, Party Weekend, please do not rent this property. It will not go unnoticed and will need to be dealt with. The house cannot be rented as part of a larger group/booking combined with other properties, nor be used as a central gathering place for guests not included in the booking specific to this property.

As per City of Kimberley Good Neighbor Bylaw No. 2671, noise from the outside Hot tub and Deck areas must not affect the surrounding property owners' ability to enjoy their space. This applies 24/7 during your stay. Bylaw also states that QUIET TIMES are between10 pm to 8 am. All outside noise must be brought inside the house during these hours.

DECIBEL MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR AREAS:
The outside Patio and Deck areas of this property are equipped with the Minut decibel monitoring system. These systems are increasingly common in short term rental properties. The system monitors sound levels and occupancy while protecting guests' stay and privacy. This system does NOT record sound or conversation. Guests will be notified remotely if sound levels exceed reasonable sound thresholds and threshold levels are lowered during Quiet Time Hours. For additional security measures, there is a RING video doorbell installed at the front door of the property.

Surrounding properties have full time owners/tenant living there and their privacy and quiet time MUST be respected. No loud partying is allowed.
We have a water leak detection system in place which runs on a router. It is located by couch on main level living room. Please DO NOT unplug this.
City bylaw states that Quiet Times are after 11pm Thursday-Saturday and 10pm Sunday-Wednesday. It is imperative that this bylaw be adhered to.

Powder Highway 2024
What an amazing property! This place was absolutely perfect for our group on their sojourn around the powder highway. The home was appropriately stocked with all the amenities that our party of eight could ask for and was centrally located to fit all of our needs and minimize travel time to and from resorts. The host Kieran was extremely attentive and prompt in his responses to any of our questions and extremely helpful with recommendations for the area. Any trip to this portion of Canada will definitely lead us back to this property if available.

Wonderful weekend in Kimberley
Great property, exactly as described. Loads of room for our large group. The house is well stocked with everything you could need. Very comfortable beds and the large hot tub which was perfect after skiing. Easy walk to the ski hill as well as into the Kimberley Platzl. Kiernan was very responsive to any requests and inquiries. Thank you!

Fabulous Stay for Three Families
This log home really is fantastic, and its six bedrooms and many bathrooms perfectly accommodated our three families with kids ranging in age from 5 to 22. Layout of the house meant that each family had its own space, and despite the house being fully occupied, there was plenty of hot water on tap whenever needed! Everyone loved the downstairs games room and darts board, with foosball matches going into the night. Kieran was a wonderful host: easy to communicate with, and quick to provide us with anything we needed, including firewood and temporary fire pit in the snow for a New Year’s Eve bonfire! Even though the snow conditions were not the best, we all had a magical time hanging out in this gorgeous house. Should we return to Kimberley in the near future, we’d love to stay here again!

Great home for a family
There were 8 adults and 4 children in our group. We enjoyed the 3 levels in the home; children could nap/sleep in quiet spaces while the adults played cards/games. The hot tub on the deck was wonderful after skiing. The main kitchen is well-stocked. We didn’t use the kitchen on the lower level but it is a nice option. This spacious log home is perfect for a big family.

Flatlanders golf road trip
This is our golf group's second stay at this location. Once again a very enjoyable experience . Very clean , well laid out ,large hot tub , 6 bedrooms , located 3 minutes to a top rated golf course, a walking /biking trail out the back door , and a short walk to the ski hill. . Our Host was always available if needed. We would definitely recommend renting this property .

Why they chose this property

I moved to Kimberley in 2000 and it has been without doubt the best life decision I have made. I am an avid outdoors person with particular interest in skiing and mountain biking, of which Kimberley offers an incredible experience. We are lucky to be off the Main Highways and as such KImberley has so far been able to retain the small, quaint mountain town atmosphere. The community is supportive and over the past 5 years, there have been many welcomed newcomers to town, especially young families. We hope that you can enjoy your stay in our house, and maybe even move here someday!

What makes this property unique

This property is ideal for families and ski/golf groups. It provides sleeping space for up to 14 guests and the large living area and two kitchens and 2 hot tubs allows the house to handle larger groups well. It is a short 7-10 minute, flat walk to the main lift at the ski hill. You can access the "Platzl to Peak" trail from right behind the house, for a nice 20 minute walk down to the Platzl shopping and dining area. Large space, lots of beds and bathroom rooms, custom log home features, 2 awesome hot tubs!
